I have waited a few weeks before writing this. I have contacted the owner and requested a refund, but I see that is not forthcoming.
I had called jack hall when I didn't have any hot water. I have used their services before for furnace, cleaning furnace and other plumbing issues. Not always pleased with their service, cranky person just one of the problems, but never was as bad as this last call. After a few hours of working on my hot water furnace he finally said he figured out the problem. He determined the igniter was bad. He drove back to the office to get a new one and did the replacement. The cost was $750+. Within a few days, I again had no hot water. If I went down and pressed the reset I could usually get it to work. After fuming for a few weeks and talking to other people in my region, I called a different plumber. The issue was a bad heat exchanger. Because it was not properly working, other parts were also now damaged. After discussing the options, I agreed to get new furnace at this time. When I called jack hall to complain they wanted to come and check it out themselves and would only return the funds from the unnecessary work done by applying it to the cost of them putting in my new furnace. That was not going to happen! So my recourse is this BAD review and small claims court. Too bad, I think it would've easier to just do the right thing.

I set up an appointment with them to come and give me a price on a new ac install and they never showed. I call the dispatch a half and hour later and she said she would get in touch with someone. I never heard anything from them. I guess they don't need my business!

From Amber in the office who has helped me out a ton, to the gentleman whom took my trouble shooting phone calls to the two gentleman whom came to my house and installed my new hot water heater.

We used Jack Hall for window replacement in our home and we are thrilled with the job they did. Out of all the window quotes we got, they had the best quality windows and the sales team was attentive to our needs/questions. We had old single paned windows that were difficult to open and now our home looks fantastic from the inside and out with the new windows. The installer was friendly and professional, and he left my house the way he arrived, clean and tidy. Not only will we save energy costs, but the curb appeal is outstanding.

We've been using Jack Hall for heating (oil boiler) and plumbing for more than 10 years. They're always prompt, friendly and get the job done. We just used them to get a ductless A.C. in a loft room and they did a great job. We no longer have to dread unbearably hot summer nights! Once there was a repeat problem with a plumbing issue but they came back right away and cut the charge for us. Highly recommended!

The last time I had used them they called to cancel an install of an AC unit I had paid half down and scheduled well in advance. They showed up a week later after a heat wave. I wasn't going to use them anymore but needed a simple furnace cleaning at a townhouse I owned. She looked up my old information and when I informed the office I moved the person I spoke to decided to set up another account and we scheduled 10 days out 12-2. At 1:45 my tenant who took the time from work called to let me know they weren't there. I called and JH's team knew nothing about .. well anything. Pathetic customer service.

Bathroom Renovation Plumbing rough in with this business did not go well. Time and materials invoice inflated: Attempted to charge exhorbinant price for PVC; they went as far as billing for hours not worked. I know because I was the homeowner/ GC on site. do not use this business for any renovations. Also instead of using diamond blades for demo... a sledge hammer was used. Do ya'll know what happens to plaster and lath on the other side of a wall with such force.

EXPENSIVE!!! MONEY HUNGRY!!!
We got several estimates on a job and they gave us a $21,000 estimate while we got the job done for $7,000. And yes the job we had done was great.

Their service is very dependent on which technician you get. The first one they sent was very good. The last time we needed service, we knew what the problem was and told the dispatcher when we called. The tech showed up without the necessary parts, though when he checked, he agreed that the info was there. Then instead of getting the part and fixing the problem, he wanted to charge us for a second visit, and do a complete overhaul of the system.

I have purchased two ductless air conditioning systems from Jack Hall, The first cost $6000, because of an addition the last one cost over $8000. Came right away to do sale and install. Guess what? Now I live to far away. Tell me whats in between Huletts Landing and Glens Falls.
Really Lets see. 6 + 8 is $14000. and now I live to far away for service. Why didn't you tell me that at sale time. Hello.
