We found this company through our home warranty and after reading the reviews understand why we had such an awful experience. Luckily we do not have to use them and had a cash out option with the warranty company we had. We had plumbing and Hvac issues that needed to be fixed. I understand with every business there can be miscommunication but this was extensive. After paying a servicing fee and three times being off work the quoted amount of repairs was ridiculous to the point we could only try to get one thing fixed at the moment. I had spoken to a lady at the office on a Friday and was told the price for them to replace our hot water heater for a tankless as well as some pipe connection that needed to be done and that my appointment was scheduled for the following Friday. That day came and as all the other apts before I was having to call them to make sure what time they were coming, only to find out we weren't on the schedule for that day that we had been put down for Monday. Then when I started questioning was told they always call the day before and I should have known we weren't scheduled if they didn't call. At this point I was heated and will be honest was not very pleasant however I tried to remain calm. When the Manager Michelle got on the phone she was immediately defensive with a raised voice yelling about how they had notes I was going to call back to reschedule for the hot water heater and we don't have to use them and on and on. In my head I'm thinking how was I scheduled for Monday and you just said you didn't have me scheduled you were waiting for me to call? I am not sure how but I kept calm after basically being called a liar by the manager and staff I ended up calming the manager down. I then later questioned everything I had spoken to the other lady about the Friday before and questioned which tank they ordered and price. I was quoted the totally wrong price that didn't even match for a 40 gallon hot water heater which is what they ordered/ and my pipes to be connected. So we canceled the hot water heater all together and just continued with the pipes. As I said before we don't have to use them but why pay someone else a service fee have to go into more days off work etc.. (BIG MISTAKE) We rescheduled to yesterday Wednesday and this time around the manager herself made sure to call me on Monday twice to confirm our apt for yesterday. I was thinking this is great the management listened to concerns about staff and is making sure reminders are being done. Yesterday my spouse stayed off work because they quoted a time of 12pm-6pm is when they will come out. I realize it was storming really bad but we never heard anything from them at all. no call about rescheduling or anything. I called this morning to let them know we would not be using them and speak to the manager and she was not in yet. However I did find out they worked yesterday its just it was too flooded for the contractors to work (which again I totally understand) but why would you not call people and let them know instead of now missing 3 days of work to try and resolve an issue that needs to be fixed. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice...three times... shame on me. So now its on the hunt for a new plumber and hvac person wasted service fee paid and wasted days off to now have nothing fixed.

If I could give them negative stars I would! AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL!! The staff is the rudest bunch of people I have ever dealt with. They cancelled on me twice, after I changed my work schedule around and told me it was my responsibility to be home and work around their schedule! Sure if you want to pay my bills!! I've never dealt with a company that can only schedule 24 hours in advance, how can you run a business like that! I have a gas leak in my house where my dryer is and they don't seem to think that is an emergency. They have given me and my landlord the run around numerous times. Now they are telling us they don't know when they will get out to us. If you can avoid them please do it. How these people are in business still is beyond me. Their staff is so rude, I can't wait to see what backwoods, moronic hick they send to fix my gas line for my dryer. Update to come, if it ever gets fixed with these people. UPDATE: after reading all the reviews on here and seeing the one about Chris not having his license, I looked it up once he was in my house. Nope license not active. I made a complaint with the Better Business Bureau about his license being expired. Well now he's calling me with threats of his attorneys. Really! Please STAY FAR AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE! His license is expired on the Georgia State Website.

absolutely worst contractor, if your Home Warranty company assigns these guys to you, change ASAP! They looked at my A/C and Heater unit multiple times and concluded that it needed to be replaced. Submitted the replacement to my Home Warranty Company and several weeks passed. I went through several conversations with both J&S and the Home Warranty company on what was taking so long. J&S kept on stating and implying the Home Warranty Company wouldn't authorize the replacement of the unit. After several weeks, I was just informed that J&S does not have the competence to even replace the unit. Meaning even if the Home Warranty Company authorized the unit replacement, J&S doesn't have the expertise to actual replace it! They were unable to inform me of this information several weeks in advance and therefore I've to start over with a new provider again. J&S is a terrible company with terrible communication. They will waste your time, DO NOT ACCEPT them as your provider and ask your home warranty company to change them.

They were the second plumber to come out to fix my water heater from the warranty company. The first company showed up and tried to rip me off telling me I needed a brand new heater. Greg, who was outstanding, came and confirmed my suspicion that most of what the first plumber told me was simply not true. They were straight forward and honest with me and going forward, home warranty or no home warranty, I plan on using them for any of my needs. Plus, who wouldn't be grateful for someone getting hot water to your house after 2 weeks of cold showers?

STAY AWAY!!!! This company is TERRIBLE!!!! Don't make the same mistake I made and disregard these reviews. We are not making this stuff up. I rescheduled my appointment for this morning, October 6th. At 10:13 am, I received a phone call stating the technician was on his way to my property. At 11:00 am, still no technician. At 11:09 am, I called the company to see if the technician was still on his way and the lady on the phone said """"yes, we still have you on the schedule and it should be later on this morning or this afternoon."""" I said, """"no, no, I just got a phone call from you all around 10:15 this morning that a technician was on his way...so where is he?"""" She then placed me on hold and, when she got back on the phone, she said he's stuck in traffic and should be here shortly. I asked about how long and she said 20 to 30 minutes. I then checked the traffic on my phone and saw NO TRAFFIC. At this point, I knew she was lying. But figured I could wait around another 30 minutes as I already took off work for this appointment. 50 MINUTES LATER (so now it's almost noon), I call back and the lady on the phone put me on hold again and, when she came back on, she said the technician was still in traffic and would be another 45 minutes. You have GOT TO BE JOKING!!! How could a technician be 3 hours away from the initial phone call at 10:15? At this point, I knew she was LYING and had double booked or forgot my appointment altogether and I told her to cancel the appointment. At that point (because the company was probably tired of getting poor reviews) I receive FOUR PHONE CALLS IN A ROW from two different technicians and this dumb idiot at dispatch asking if I still wanted my unit serviced. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE? This company is as rude and unprofessional as they come...lying to its customers and not respecting its customers time. FORGET THIS COMPANY and find another. With all these bad reviews it's only a matter of time before they go out of business.

WOW! Extremely rude and unprofessional! Showed up without any parts to fix the problem when the problem was reported to them last week. I was clearly frustrated after taking the day off work. The serviceman had an attitude and said my issue wasn't covered by my home warranty company which it was. Then he dropped his metal folder on the hood of my Mercedes and scratched it up. I said You just scratched up my car and he immediately pick up his phone and called their office and said this isn't working out and left.... I was dumbfounded! The owner was even worse! When I explained what just had happened she proceeded to Scream at me (literally) that I was trying to talk over her when I was telling her I was upset with his attitude. Something is seriously wrong with these people. I'm waiting to hear from their insurance company regarding my car. Do yourself a huge favor, call another contractor.

We just bought a home,we needed to have air conditioner serviced and our home has a warranty on it through First American. We decided to use it,they advised us we pay $65.00 for someone from J& S Mechanical to diagnose it .They stated J&S will be in touch and gave us their number as well.We get an appointment time window for Thurday between 8a.m to 1p.m and were advised night before service turn off a.c by 12 midnight. We then wait all Thursday,phone nearby,no call nothing ,it became 12:30 I called the reception told me he still has 30 minutes to give me a contact call ,and that the service man is a till at another home.She dispatched him and told me he will be to us ,we called again with my husband 2pm she tells us traffi, and he's coming ,we ask what time they close,what happens to our appt etc.She stated no matter what he will come and fix it after hours. No one ever came,at 8pm we turned our ac back on because we were so hot all day it was 95 outside yesterday when this happened. I called J&S this morning,same girl picks up,I explain we were stood up,how unacceptable this was. She said sorry but we just found out he never came to your home,I advised her then there needs to be a better process,they should knownif jobs from prior day ever got help or not.Especially in ac business. She told me to hold on,a woman begins to take over call not even saying who she is,starts saying to warn me up front no yelling,I was not yelling at either but that this is very unprofessional. She told me she is the manager and didn't like my tone,I told her is because the way you all deal with your customers,she said she was going transfer me.She hung up,I called back she said she tried to transfer ,I said well you hung up on me she said no,back and forth began.I asked her to let me speak to the manager over her or the owner,she yells she is the owner! I said well if your the owner you are the worst at running a business and managing ,your rude and terrible customer service . When will businesses learn...customers run this..not the businesses.They can't get away treating people like we need them.They need our business! I had more words for what she is...called First American they will send a different contractor out.

I was first put in contact with J&S Mechanical through my home warranty company. I would not recommend this company at all. They have the worst customer service. I was told that I would have someone out to my house between 12-6 for someone to look at my plumbing. At about 3 PM, I called to get a status update to which i was told someone would be out by 5 PM. At 5:55 I called to get a update to which there was no answer and answering machine told me they close at 5. At about the same time I get a call saying someone would be out at 6:45, I told the lady that I was expecting someone earlier to which her response was I told you between 12-6. Last time I checked 6:45 IS NOT between 12-6. I told her to send the plumber out anyways. At about 6:10 she called me again, I was not by my phone and told me she was cancelling the plumber. I called back to which again I got the answering machine. In the meantime I am still without Water. And they said they cant come out for 5 more days.

Please avoid the company if possible. As others said, I would give a """"0"""" if there is the rating. The worst customer service reps and technicians. They can not schedule anything until the day before the appointment. The technician came in for a AC service call on Saturday. We were told to shut off the AC the night before, so we did. We told the guy, out AC compressor is not working well, and the fan keep blowing hot air. Instead of performing the standard test of AC, he turned on the AC, 5 min later, and AC shut itself. The guy told us he could not do anything, and left the house. I tried to ask him what the issue was. he could not explained, and said need to do a diagnostic test. He then said we had to re-schedule. Totally waste of our time.

WARNING! Do NOT use J&S MECHANICAL CONTRACTORS for any of your HVAC needs! Far and above the RUDEST and most INCOMPETENT company I have ever dealt with from the ones who answer the phone to the useless technicians. Air-conditioning went out, technician came out and said unit was low on Freon, which is an automatic red flag right? Leak perhaps? The technician , Bill, proceeded to spend only 15 minutes adding Freon to the unit and then turned it on us and said we should be more diligent in having the units checked twice a year. I kept asking if there was a leak and if anything needed to be replaced, as I did NOT want this to happen again as we are in 90 degree weather and this is where we LIVE. He never answered me, which is because he didn't CHECK! Of course today, it is back out AGAIN, (surprise!) and J&S very rudely told us they would not be coming out til Monday, when it's their incompetence! LAZY and BAD BUSINESS! If you have a home warranty through First American, tell them you refuse to have this """"company"""" in your home. I assure you it will not be a pleasant experience and you will not receive the customer service you need or deserve. If you don't believe me, check out their FB page and all reviews. It is unbelievable they are still in business! Reporting to BBB immediately.
