Our hot water heater was leaking and we called J Rowe Plumbing to come out on a Sunday! Misti was excellent in scheduling my service and was a pleasure to speak with. Dillon and Jay were amazing. The showed us how our hot water heater 'died' and make a recommendation for a new unit. Still, on Sunday, they went back to their office, picked up the new hot water heater and had it installed and back up to code in no time. Both guys were very pleasant, professional and did an amazing job. I will definitely call them back for any plumbing needs.

J Rowe Plumbing recently replaced our hot water heater as well as plumbing for a shower stall redo. Our hot water heater location presented some challenges as it was surrounded by 3 walls that didn't leave room for the now required drain pan. They worked with us to figure out how to get the pan in without tearing down walls. Success!
The shower fixtures and installation were perfect.
All appointments were met on time. Customer service was excellent and the experience of working with them gratifying.

It was a terrible experience. I called after hours and advised them I already had someone out and already know I have a complex problem/clog that will require digging and going through the sewer line vs a quick fix with a snake. They said don't worry, they'll do whatever they have to in order to get the plumbing working tonight. Then they came over and charged me $99 to tell me that I have a complex problem/clog require digging up the sewer line which they couldn't do right then. I had to pay them to drive to my house and repeat what I told them when I called them to come out and do absolutely nothing else.

Please use caution when selecting this company for servicing your plumbing needs. They partially completed a job by removing my water closet a week ago because I was having new flooring replaced. When I contacted them this week to have them return to reinstall the closet, I asked what the total charge would be. How about over $400 initially. When I questioned why so high, it was reduced to $351. This was to remove a toilet...20 minutes at most leave and return at another date to reinstall it. Then, I asked Jeffery about the company warranty, as I was concerned if they would cover my flooring if the toilet leaked. He balked and said no he would not cover it. I then asked to have a written warranty for the services I would be paying for. I did not receive a favorable answer and he hung up. Later in the morning I received an email stating I owed them $156 for the initial service and that I had requested they not return to complete the job. This was a frivolous statement, I said no such thing. I will pay my $156 as I owe that, but this shady action and cost for his services are way over the top and needs to be heard by future clients.

I called J Rowe to get a quote for a simple residential job. Their business truck is parked on the same road I live on, so that is why I called J Rowe and I figured it would be convenient for the plumber. The office secretary gave me time frames to schedule a plumber. The time frame was in the afternoon when I would be home from work. The day the plumber was scheduled to come, she called me 3 hours ahead of time saying that the plumber was ready to go to my home. I reminded her that I was at work and that I would obviously have to be home for the appointment. She was very insensitive and just told me, "Well the plumber is ready. Take it or leave it, otherwise we will reschedule" I told her how rude she was and that I was cancelling the appointment due to the unprofessionalism of her tone. I don't know the quality of workmanship that this company provides, but if they are hiring office staff that should be representatives of the company, steer clear!! There are many other plumbing companies that appreciate the business they receive.

I would never recommend this company, especially their tech James who is a total scammer!!
I had a relatively easy fix (1.5hr job for a rookie tech); a leak in a 1" nipple between the water meter and the water pressure reducing valve on our water supply line. I showed their tech exactly where the leak was; he immediately started to tell me we needed to replace the entire water supply line from the meter to the house...ya, without even digging in. Again, I showed him the actual leak, and explained all that needed to be done. He looked at it for a moment, then agreed and cleaned out around the hole at the meter box. When he dug out around the pressure release valve it was clear to see all he needed to do was replace the nipple and plum the valve back in. Again, he started telling me he needed to replace everything because it would not work unless he did this and that... he just kept talking, making thing up (one of those guys who think all homeowners are all idiots). I actually got down and pointed out what needed to be done; again silence, then he agreed I was right... what an ass!! He wanted to do a lot of work on our line that was not needed. I am an engineer by trade, my specially was troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, piping (pluming) issues. This job should have been completed in 1.5hr's tops. My wife keep asking me why he was just standing around on his phone all the time... Because of lack of actual work the job took him two (2) hours, he ended up replacing the nipple that was leaking, but then replaced all the new brass extensions/fittings on the water pressure reducing valve we had installed a few years prior (in great condition) and he replaced those with PVC pipe... He charged us $589.00 for this. Beware of this company!!!

We had a backed-up toilet that needed to be "snaked". "James and Steve" suggested that the project could take "all-day." Forty-minutes later the job was done an they charged us $404!!!! When I questioned the priced, James got very defensive and raised his voice in threatening manner.

I had a handle on a shower faucet fall off. I tried to put it back together but was not able to get it to work properly. Called Rowe Plumbing. The guy said the cylinder was locked up and would not move. Said it needed to be replaced. Quoted little over $200 for part and little over $100 labor. Since I went to Lowes yesterday and priced new faucets for less than the quote on the cylinder, I said pass. Paid the $39 service call and sent him on his way. Called Max plumbing. They were out in a couple hours. Said it just needed to be put back together correctly. Total bill was $69. About $250 less than Rowe Shower works perfectly. No new parts needed.
