Why does it always happens on a Sunday morning?
Our old nemesis, hair, was at it again, clogging our drain. The bathroom sink was a complete no-flow. I tried a plunger but it only got worse.
So who do I call?
J-Drains Rooter Service of course.
My man, Jason sent a tech out and we were back in the flow in 10 minutes.

This is not the first time these guys were heroes. I have their card on the fridge and that's where it is going to stay.

Jason was simply awesome!

Arrived very quickly on a Saturday morning for a leaking kitchen faucet.

Tried to assist over the phone to try and save me some money. When we figured out its impossible to fix it remotely, he came over, fixed the leaking faucet in no time, and charged me a minimum fee for his visit.

Yes, truly as good as it gets. No kidding. I am a homeowner on Foxworthy near the school site being remodeled. I had a sewer back-up and rented a 100' 'snake' from ""A Tool Shed"" just west of 880. This was Thursday night, May 12. The root cutting tool was too big and it got stuck way down in the sewer pipe. I sweated and swore for hours and left it for Friday (the 13th) after work. More sweating and swearing tonight, but still very stuck.
I called several emergency plumbers with good YELP reviews, and Jason called me back within 15 minutes. Said he was shopping at the 'Downtown Safeway"" on San Carlos. He said he could be here in 30 minutes, and he said clearly that he charges $250 an hour on nights and weekends.
I was desperate so asked him to come over and try to unstick the damned snake and clear the line. (Having the rented snake was costing me $75 a day, plus no shower, no toilet, no laundry, and no sink.)
Here's the part you're gonna love - Jason shows up with another worker, Jose. They are here 45 minutes after I first called them. Within one hour they have unstuck the cutting tool and pulled it out of the pipe. They pulled it out, took off the over-large cutting head, ran the line again, at that point they break through the blockage and we hear 'singing' - the sound of water clearing - rushing into the main line out under the street. Done!! Blockage cleared!!
But wait - it gets better.
I had moved the laundry machine to use its ""stand-pipe"" as a clean-out access. Jose and Jason put the washer back up in place and hooked up the water lines while I was inside writing their check. Then they helped me lift the heavy power snake into the back of our van.
This is all from 9:15 pm to 10:15 pm on Friday the 13th. First contact made at about 8:30,
I was wishing these two gentlemen goodnight at about 10:15.
You will read a lot of ""saved the day"" (or the night) reviews about great businesses and great workers, but this one is hard to beat. I had to write this review right now, because of the good luck my family had in contacting Jason and Jose.

J Drains to the rescue, again.

I woke up Sunday morning, and the vanity sink's clogged. After disassembling the drain and trying to snake it myself, I gave up and called J Drains. It's the weekend. They're busy. They still made time for us. The other 3 companies still haven't called me back.

Jason and another gentleman came out to take a look, but due to the way we described the problem on the phone (our fault), they didn't have the proper equipment. It's in the other truck.

Jason called dispatch, and less than 2 hours later, Jose shows up with a power drain snake and knocked out the clog. In the process, Jose took the time to talk about prevention, and tips for regular maintenance to avoid emergencies in the future.

Just like the first time, I felt they were friendly, professional, and easy going. I really wish I could give them double 5-stars. I think they've earned it.

Came home to find a clogged toilet! Called for an emergency service and they were at my door within 60 minutes! I watched the guy do his thing while he fixed the problem. After the toilet flushed just fine he went back to ""snaking"" the toilet... I wasn't sure why. To my surprise, after about a minute or 2, he pulls out one of my family's electric toothbrush! I'm not sure how that got in there but I guess he knew something else could be wrong. I'm sure glad he went the extra step.

Usually one star would indicate terrible service, but since I never got any service, this is all I have to go with. Called Mon AM at 8, was told tech would be at house within an hour. Called back at 9:57 to ask what was problem, told that they needed to track down tech and would call me right back. At 10:15 (yes, 17 minutes of ""right back"") a return call to tell me tech would be at my house within 30 minutes. At 10:58 I called to cancel, only to have the dispatcher say ""fine"" and hang up.

Summary: three hours, multiple calls from me to initiate action and nothing on their end. Hey JDrains, I don't mind waiting, as long as I know that my waiting will actually result in you showing up to do the work. thanks for burning an extra vacation day waiting for you to not respond.

One of The Best Plumbing and Unclogging Job in Bay Area!

My sewer had been clogged for a couple of weeks before I found J Drain and their technician came out to use machine auger snake to unclog it right away.

I had paid others before, they did over-hours' work, which could not get solid fixes, and then they told me under earth rooter entwined and broke their tools. They charged me and ask for more to do digging out the earth and drench it..........

I withhold ranking those for one star, as I do not like any negative things, maybe I am a little bit selfish as I want to be the one eat my own frog.

But I do not hesitate to give my 5 star to J Drain after a week. If you search a plumber and read my J D's rank, you should contact them for your headache house sewage clogging!

Excellent Service. Jason is wonderful. His crew did drain cleanup for my 4 plex property. Requested Jason for camera checkup for the drain after the cleanup completed and he is wonderful enough to offer the service with no extra charge. Also their prices are definitely affordable. Will recommend this company to any one.
