I was quote a $69 Technician Fee which doesn't apply to the services. Nor was I given an estimate for the requested services. They really wanted me to give the $69 without assurances that they could perform the work or what's an estimated cost for this work. She spoke to me about an hour later and said that the technician fee would be $90. Still no estimate of the total cost. I explain that we're a non-profit organization and we can give them a blank check and that I needed and invoice to submit to the Board of Directors for approval. I never received it, yet the technician wants me to meet him and pay the technician fee. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN !
I personally don't feel Comfortable using this company because I couldn't get the information I requested.

Bait and Switch!!!!. I got him through my warranty company and needed my hot water restored and my garbage disposal fixed. First he didn't have any tools on him.... I informed him that my house was recently weatherized so the hot water heater was wrapped up but, that shouldn't stop him since all the valves etc are external. He made me sign a form to allow him to cut the covering (i thought small cut) then he asked to borrow a knife from my kitchen..... He went upstairs and came down a little later and said that he had to wait on his boss. Cleared up my disposal. Next thing he states that my water heater is under manufactors warranty and he can't do anything but, he can sell me a new one .....So why did he cut my cover??? Why did he show up?? And why don't i have hot water?? Had to call my warranty company back and have them send another company.
Guy was nice but, all he did was rip off my cover to take a picture of the model number so he can say he was there. I called his office and told them what happened but, by looking at the previous reviews i see that they already know . Logged my complaint with my warranty company, his company and now yelp.
STAY AWAY !! Bait and Switch !!!

Have used Island Mann in the past for good results. However called them yesterday (7.6.23) regarding a leaky faucet. They had someone available who could come right over for a $69 charge. "Right away" turned into 2 hours later which wasn't a problem, however the plumber didn't have the part & when he quoted it he was over twice as expensive as anyone else, $650 to change the cartridge in a faucet! We told him to forget it, but it still cost us $70.
Rest assured we will NEVER call Island Mann again & recommend you don't either. Call 1-800 Plumber instead.

Extremely Unethical - Charged me for work that was not done and apparently not necessary because the work that was done was passed by city inspector. Refused to give me a refund for work not performed.

The plumber that came out is a crook. I got him through my warranty company and needed him to fix two leaking toilet bowls, one stuck disposer, and one leaking shower.
The disposer had debris in it, which is what caused it not to run. The plumber could not get his hand into the disposer to pull the item out -- I had to do it.
For one leaking toilet bowl, he said someone broke the valve, so it's outside the warranty service. The valve was old and brittle but NOT broken. I know this for a fact because I inspected the bowl before calling for service. It was the plumber who broke it when he was fiddling with it.
He claimed he fixed the second leaking bowl, but it continued leaking after the plumber left.
As for the leaking shower, the guy claimed someone installed the cartridge without a safety pin, which he said is a hazard that can kill someone (naturally, outside the warranty). The cartridge was frozen and he couldn't get it out. His solution? Shut off the water to the house, lock it with a zip tie, annd offer to repair the shower and the toilet bowl for...$3,200.
I understand that, as a woman, I may look like an easy target for a plumbing scam, but this classic buttcrack-showing dude got it wrong, because it's a me, Mario. My mistake was in not wanting to fix the plumbing myself.
It took me a few hours, some elbow grease, and $100 worth of supplies from Home Depot, but I got it done.
I recommend you stir clear of this company. They are cheaters and liars.

The guys are highway robbers. Stay away !!
Our faucet went bad and we had them come to repair it. they diagnosed and said we intentionally something in the faucet and declined the services. Next plumber we had it looked it just said it was a batterry which was low and put a new one to all being normal.
The warranty company had them send again for a different faucet at home and then came the same diagnosis. Total cost to change a cartridge is $647.
New plumber came-in ... and including emergency service ... finished the job for $210.
Just sheer robbery in the name of license and emergency services.

I would not recommend this company to repair any plumbing or pipes they are very untrustworthy. There technicians tell you one thing and tell the warranty company another. If your warranty company assigns this company please ask to be assigned to another company. You are wasting you time.

I called them to help with broken pipes after the Christmas 2022 freeze. Instead of fixing my pipes, Zachary told me I needed to repipe my whole house for $12,600. I called for a second opinion. The second plumber fixed my issues in one hour for $150. Don't use Island Mann. They are a scam. Upselling things that aren't necessary...at Christmas no less. Worst part was he left me without water for 24 hours longer than necessary. They are bad people.

We had a carbon filter and descaler installed. I use the word installed very loosely. From the time our order was placed until today we have had no less than 6 technicians out redoing, replacing and making excuses for all the issues we were having. This company has a deplorable work ethic. The work they do do is shoddy at best. They are exceptionally overpriced and they make no effort to correct the litany errors that they now blame on the manufacturer. It's an easy way for them to take your thousands of dollars and blame someone else. I WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THEM.

Incompetent. Today is the fifth Saturday I have waited to replace a broken shower handle. The first four times they didn't know what to do, didn't have the right part, or ordered the wrong part. On this fifth Saturday, they were scheduled to come first thing in the morning to accommodate the inconvenience ("incompetence"). It is almost noon and I don't know when the plumber should arrive. I'm hoping they actually fix the problem this time, but regardless, it has been FIVE wasted Saturdays to fix a shower handle.
