Sleeping Easier These Days...
Hard to believe 27 years have passed here in our ""new"" Oceanside home. Like many homebuyers I installed our sprinkler system pipes, heads, valves, manifold and controller myself back then to save money. Can't complain about the value we've gotten over the years, with only a few leaks here and there.

Still, it seemed about time to consider replacing the heart of the system (all but the pipe system and heads). Knowing all those glued joints and aging valves were not going to perform forever we decided a state-of-the-art valve/manifold and controller would be a worthwhile investment, especially when the time to sell the house comes around.

There are lots of contractors wearing multiple hats in the landscaping, irrigation and gardening field, but I was pleased to find that Nick at Irritech has specialized in sprinkler system repair specifically in north county for some 8 years. He doesn't do full installations, but instead focuses on repairs and upgrades to existing systems.

We met Nick on the appointed day and briefly went over the work area needing to be cleared of plants and ground cover for the work and heard Nick's preference for valves (20yr rated Rain Bird - fewer moving parts & bulletproof!), manifolds (builds them custom for the job) and 12 valve controller (Orbit) - with remote control no less! More on that later.
Nick emailed me my detailed bid within days, nicely laid out with multiple options that I either requested or he suggested. I opted to move and return plants and ground cover myself - an option you can consider. On the appointed day, Nick arrived and had the area cleared quickly and things ready to go. He happened to do the job over two days, but actual work time was hardly an 8 hour day for him which included a meticulous clean up.

I hadn't thought of the need for a remote, but what a convenience when adjusting sprinkler heads or spot watering individual valve sections of the yard. Sprinkler head adjustments used to require 2-3 trips back to the valve for each head to check adjustment progress. Those trips are completely eliminated with a remote in hand!

All of Nick's work was extremely neat and professionally completed as requested. Wiring is cleanly installed, bundled, mostly underground and all pipes and valves are straight as an arrow! One of the options I requested to be included was to provide fake rock covers, which I cut down to fit neatly over each of my two, 6-valve systems.

Given the peace of mind this will provide for future potential home buyers, the investment in a state-of-the-art sprinkler system made sense - not to mention our own comfort, convenience and peace of mind in the meantime.

Can't say enough about Nick and Irritech for your sprinkler needs. I've alread had him back for one other non-related water line repair that was causing a constant pool of water on our patio. Excellent, professional work on both occasions. Nick and Irritech are your go-to team for sprinkler repairs and upgrades Here in North county.

I was really hopeful about this company after reading the reviews. It's unfortunate, but I assume Nick must have enough business and 5 star reviews that he no longer needs to return phone calls from potential customers. I contacted Nick several days ago in search of a company to repair a neglected irrigation system in our recently purchased property and left a brief message outlining our needs. To be fair, Nick's recorded message indicated they were only taking a few new clients a week. However, a phone call back to decline my business (perhaps with a referral elsewhere) would have been appropriate.

Ours was not a small job - an extension of an existing line required trenching for about 30 feet, putting in five 12"" pop-ups, disabling and removing some existing heads and risers, and putting in another short extension and shrub head. Nick showed up on time, worked with amazing speed and efficiency, was very neat, and did great cleanup. The whole job took him about four hours. He wasn't cheap, but I'm more than satisfied. The only downside was getting him scheduled - he seem to be in high demand. Highly recommended!

Nick with Irritech Sprinkler Repair did a phenomenal job on my irrigation repair needs. He was communicative, prompt and very knowledgeable with my valve replacement, drip and spray line repairs. He also went the extra mile when I was out of town and he made time in his schedule quickly to repair a large leak. I would go to no other business for repairs or upgrades. They're legit and an A+ in my book!

Called and made an appointment to have some repair work done on my system. Nick arrived right on time. He checked my system then made the repairs needed. Very professional. He fixed three or four leaks and adjusted the flow. Told me what to look for as critters had caused the leaks.
His price was so low I was amazed. Definitely recommend and would use him again.
