American Home Shield sent IRH plumbing out to my house to replace my water heater. The owner worked quickly with us to get a water heater installed by the next day. The plumber that came out did a great job.

We had them install a new garbage disposal through American Home Shield and it's absolutely terrible and ridiculous because it's broken down 3 times in just over a month. AHS has had to get someone to come out multiple times and we are at the point that we are going to file a complaint against AHS.

One of the worse plumbing company I have had the misfortune of working with. Much like everyone else here, they were assigned to me by AHS, and boy was it a cluster of a situation.
I had a shower head leak and the technician they sent was completely incompetent. He made the leak worse - what was a slow drip became a torrent, necessitating a cap. Not only that, he was rude and couldn't listen to instructions. I like to keep my floors clean and the second floor has carpets, so he was instructed several times to take his shoes off. He didn't and left tracks.
He tried several times to fix this issue over a period of months to no avail. Not only that, every time he came out to try to fix it, they charged me before the work was even completed (yes, I agreed to pay out of pocket to go beyond the scope of what AHS covered). After he failed the last time, he told me he can't get to the problematic valve/pipe and would require tearing up the entire bathroom.
So I've had enough. A phone call to a local plumber, a willingness to pay out of pocket, and to go with trusted professions resulted in the work completed in 20 minutes - at less the cost that IRH quoted me for by the way (even with AHS covering some expenses).
These guys are idiots and will love to bend you over and take advantage of you if you let them.
You know your worse fear with plumbers who would do shady crap and take advantage of you? Yeah, these guys are it. But there's great ethical ones and it pisses me off that clowns like IRH gives the profession a bad name. Stay clear of them is my best advice to you. Find a 4-5 star company (there's tons) that will save you time and money in getting the job done right the first time around at half the cost these guys want to take from you.

We had two issues with our plumbing and had contacted our home warranty. AHS sent out IRH. I was a bit nervous because I read all the negative reviews. But honestly couldn't be happier. Danny was awesome ! He explained what was the issue and was able to fix the problems. He took his time even though he had another client after us. Thanks Danny !!!

Horrible. Warranty company sent them out. They couldn't fix the problem, said they would follow up with the warranty company and get back to me. Waited a month and heard nothing. Finally called the warranty company who said the plumber had never contacted them. Totally unprofessional.

Mike, the owner, is exceptional. We have been dealing with a gas leak and trying to work with Home Shield ( A MASSIVE PAIN) and Mike has been so helpful. He gave us honest answers, talked directly with me, explained how home warranty worked, and was so helpful. The process with the home warranty was a nightmare of annoyance but that is not on this company; they did everything to help and expedite.
Update to add: I'm feeling a little conflicted bc I ended up paying out of pocket bc of their findings that electrolysis caused my galvanized steel pipe to leak... which 3 other plumbers said was not true nor would it cause that to happen it would only effect the copper pipe. So I got denied on home warranty and had to pay $450 to have a pipe fixed. Which is a major bummer.

Make sure to record your calls anytime you communicate with the owner Mike. His lack of integrity left my elderly father without water to the home for 5 months after telling me the minimal invasive work needed to fix a leak. After saying great and to move forward his team then told my father they would need to tear out cabinets in addition to flooring, of course leaving my father stuck with repairs. After being out of the loop for months I visited my father and saw he still had no running water to the house and when asking Mike the owner, he of course said any miscommunication was on my end not theirs and they never changed anything said. He then guided me to get a reimbursement from the insurance company and he would make sure the expense was noted properly to get the most money returned to pay another plumber to do the simple tube in the garage to reroute the water. He noted to hold off on doing this paperwork until his people handled the sink fix. He noted the cash value of the slab leak was $650 (what was to be reimburse them not doing the job). Long story short, after being told by the insurance we are only getting $245 towards paying another company $1300, he hangs up on me after asking how he can help... because of course all communication issues are because of the client, not him... again. So what he was going to charge $1800-$2200 his actual cost with margin is $245 for anyone and everyone thinking to use this service, this is how much they screw you. Don't take anything they say as in stone, record it all, otherwise you get unethical results from unethical people taking advantage of the elderly.

Came in to do initial work and had been contracted with American Home Shield under warranty. Then did not hear back from them for two weeks while the toilets were still not fixed. The representative then after several calls said they did ask for approval from American Home shield and we're denied but still never heard back from them. They would not take responsibility for getting back to me, nor trying to make an effort to figure out what was going on.
I would not recommend.

My home warranty assigned this company to repair a water leak coming through my drywall above my kitchen. They never reached out to me to schedule the appointment, I had to call them several times. Then they told me the earliest that they could come look at the problems was five days away. So I'm supposed to just let it leak or have no water for five days!? My home warranty assigned a new company that called me within an hour and repaired the problem the next morning.

I almost cancelled this appointment because I read so many bad reviews. Thank goodness I didn't. They were sent out by AHS and fixed 3 toilets on the spot. Very nice and respectful and even put booties on to enter the house. From scheduling to completion of job this company hit it out of the park!
