We focus on all aspects of plumbing repair and renovation. This includes water heaters, faucets, showers, toilets, concealed leaks, sewer clogs, visual inspections, leak detection, repipes, reroutes, gas repipes, and gas line repairs.
Our family has served the Coachella Valley, Hi-Desert, and Inland Empire for five generations. Our team includes skilled male and female plumbing technicians. We strive to support our customers in any way we can.
I am Jim, and I value honesty and am always ready to help. I learned everything about plumbing from my grandfather at the age of 16. I taught my children the same way their great-grandfather taught me. Our approach is always professional and respectful towards our customers.
I want to clarify that we work with three home warranty companies and handle over 80 calls daily. We follow stringent guidelines and regulations dictated by their contracts on what actions we can take. Many negative reviews stem from warranty companies not covering certain issues, and we often become the scapegoat. I refuse to pay Yelp to showcase my good reviews, even though they contact me weekly. Our own rating system through the warranty company explains why we are their preferred choice. If we were as poor as these reviews suggest, we wouldn’t have these warranty contracts. I appreciate your attention.

Waylon cleared a drain that another company couldn't. Very experienced/personable/professional. I've had bad experiences with AHS before with my AC. Purchased an older home last October... all kinds of problems. Happy to say that this wasn't one of them. Great job from Waylon and Eden!!

Sent by a home warranty service - they provided multiple diagnosis for a simple job and took months to get final answer. Business owner would not return calls. Ridiculous company

Wow I did not know there was this many bad reviews on this company I've been waiting for the owner to get back to me about a month ago there's always something with them every time I call. I just told them you know what this will be the last time I call he is obviously a punk because he doesn't have the respect to call somebody back this company should not be in business I hope they take their license away the girls in the office are always rude and aggressive this company is a joke.

Wish I had read these reviews before using their service. They charged me a $450 minimum to come out on a Sunday to clear a stoppage in our plumbing. The plumber came out and cleared a stoppage, but it started backing up again on Monday. A different plumber came out and let us know that they should have ran water to make sure the line was fully cleared.
I called them to request some kind of partial refund since we paid such a crazy high fee to have someone come out on a Sunday, and they didn't actually complete the job and they absolutely refused and said that the two plumbers that came out don't get along so that must be why he said that the job wasn't completely correctly.
I guess these reviews just show that this company has zero care about the customer service experience and whether a job is handled correctly the first time.

The woman who I spoke to on the phone sounded like she was an angry woman who couldn't wait to tell you was in fact not helping you. Maybe she was having pms, although unlikely considering the average age of adults in the desert.

Wish I didn't have to give a star. This place is a joke. Funny that the owner says right off the back he is honest. (Insert red flag ) Had to deal with this company due to my home warranty. Pressure regulator went out on Tuesday they contacted me Thursday and told me I had to wait until the following Friday because no one was in my area until then. Friday the guy shows up....probably at my house 5 minutes. Says he need to order a part and would back the following Friday to install. Tuesday the warrant company calls saying I have to pay out of pocket due to the technician saying he needs to modify and cut my copper piping. And modifications aren't covered in my contract. (They want an additional $300) whelp. It's the pressure regulator with threading in both sides. No pipe cutting is needed. Thursday Intercity calls trying to collect a payment for the Friday visit and I explain that there is no cutting required. Checked with my HOA and several people in the community replaced there's with no pipe cutting. The girl who called me told me I didn't know what I was talking about and told me they stand behind their technicians and hung up in my face. Worst customer service ever.

How do an appointment to install a water heater they gave me a price I wrote them a check and today the day before they're coming to install the hot water heater they called and said that I have to pay $480 more than what the price that they gave me
The girl said if I didn't like it I could go somewhere else what an attitude

I only wished I had read these reviews first before scheduling Intercity. They installed a new tankless system in our condo but ran the condensation pipe so it drains onto our front porch. Needless to say our new tile has been destroyed and I'm cleaning up a mess daily.
When the plumber came to review this issue he stayed a total of 5 minutes and said it was legal. No neutralizer was added to the system nor any option to deal with this ongoing issue.
There are many professional plumbing companies in the desert. Intercity is one to avoid. Lack of ethics and professionalism. It appears that they have no concern about their customers.

Its unfortunate that this is the service company that is contracted with my home warranty insurance. Yelp doesn't allow 0 stars so 1 star rating is not given out of choice but out of completing this review... Looking at the number of stars for reviews, it's accurate. Promises made with no follow through. Time frame provided and one call given to the client consumer with a narrow 15 min leeway and when that client does not return the call within the specified time frame you're done. So in the mean time, I'll be out of a functioning water heater and at their mercy until then??! I know NOT! Are they on such a tight schedule - because it's off to the next sucker to be treated like a P.O.S and have the ""issue evaluated""??!! - that they can't even give their clients a chance?? ""Oh you didn't respond within the 15 mins so you're rescheduled""... so just like that the client's whole day of waiting is down the drain and rescheduled on another day... ""oh we have Thursday?"" So the girl Michelle is placed on hold so the calendar can be checked for availability, the she hangs up like she can't wait?! Whatever happened to customer service? .... So it's S.O.L on the client's part. My warranty company called them and her excuse is ""that's our policy?!"". Then you get to thinking.... that plumber is only at your home to evaluate and maybe correct but any replacement will be another authorization through your home warranty insurance and then once approved then another appointment to have it done. Hmm it just sucks all around.
This company sucks -- based on their customer service and reliability. Thank goodness I don't have to deal with the actual service if those aspects sucked a$$ already. Good riddance & stay in Palm Springs. Unfortunately or fortunately idk... I got my own plumber and will pay out of pocket instead.
FYI.... Anyone wanting a home warranty insurance?? Save that money in the bank for that home repair/appliance repair instead of paying into the monthly payment. It'll save you the aggravation and a migraine in the long run.

Terrible customer service. I hope American Home Shield removes them from their contractor list. I am making it a point to contact customer service at American Home Shield daily to complain about them using this vendor. We have a current leak that resulted in drywall needing to be cut and a damaged cabinet. We also had to take out our fridge. This company came out and said the part would need to be ordered and they would be out the following week to put in. They called the day before the appointment and canceled. They said they wouldn't come out because they won't come out to our area unless they have two or more appointments and said we can't use another vendor because they started the job. Meanwhile, our pipe is still leaking and causing damage. AHS did say we can switch vendors and then Intercity wouldn't receive full payment thank goodness. If your home warranty assigns this plumber, request another one!
