Intercity Plumbing
Company Overview
Our expertise lies in plumbing repairs and remodeling. This includes water heaters, faucets, showers, toilets, concealed leaks, sewer clogs, visual inspections, leak detection, repipes, reroutes, gas repipes, and gas line repairs.
For five generations, our family has been dedicated to the Coachella Valley, Hi-Desert, and Inland Empire. We employ both male and female plumbing technicians. We strive to support our customers in any way we can.
I am Jim, and I value honesty and am always ready to help. At 16, my grandfather imparted his plumbing knowledge to me. I taught my children the same way their great-grandfather taught me. We maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with our clients.
I want to clarify that we work with three home warranty companies and handle over 80 calls daily. We follow stringent guidelines and regulations dictated by their contracts on what actions we can take. Most of the negative feedback arises because the warranty companies do not cover specific issues, and we are often blamed. I do not pay Yelp to highlight my positive reviews, despite their regular outreach. Our own rating system through the warranty company explains why we are their preferred choice. If we were as bad as these reviews claim, we wouldn’t have secured these warranty agreements. I appreciate your attention.

The guy that came in yesterday left a mess behind, won't recommend this company ever. Please see picks attached.

No INTEGRITY! I pay for American Home Shield coverage and intercity plumbing was assigned to do the repairs. I waited for a call from intercity but never received one. I finally called them and spoke to what sounded like an older lady who told me, intercity's plumbing dispatcher would contact me for an appointment. I never heard from the dispatcher. Almost two days later I call American Home Shield to let them know their contractor has not called me to make an appointment and that the damage to my home is now expanding. Sophia at American Home Shield quickly telephoned Intercity. Sophia told me that Intercity plumbing told her they tried to call me several times and that they could not do the repairs because they won't be able to send a repair truck to my city. I called Intercity plumbing in the first place to check the status of an appointment, the lady I spoke with at Intercity plumbing reviewed the work order American Home Shield setup for me, and did not bother to tell me they did not service my area. They didn't call me, and they lied to American Home Shield that they tried to leave a message for me. They simply refused to not uphold their contract with American Home Shield and could care less that a customer is at home trying to figure out how to fix a three day damage that is expanding. Do not use! And if American Home Shield assigns them to you, have them reassign another contractor..

zero stars. irresponsible. waste of a day. 5hr window wait time. plus their ""emergency"" 2 hr delay. they don't keep the appointment time and no status updates. they'll cancel your appointment if they call you and you don't pick up and/or call with a certain amount of time after they've called you. they won't show up at all. bad business. this it not the kind of company you want to deal with if this is the level of service they provide before they even get your home.

I wish I could give zero stars. This company was sent out through my home warranty fidelity national and I wish I listened to the reviews instead of taking a chance on them. The plumber came out to my house and the first thing he did was check the main line before even introducing himself and saying where he is from. Then he told me that he doesn't have any of the materials he needs to clear the main line because his company didn't give him a heads up of what the issues were. I said to him, but you checked the main line before even ringing the doorbell...so you clearly knew what the issue reported was. And he said ""yeah, I did. You're right."" And then proceeded to make excuses about why he couldn't do the job! Blaming his company for not giving him tools and saying what poor management it was etc. I refused to sign the paper because the job wasn't done and he said ""yeah, that's what the last customer said"" and ""yeah, I wouldn't sign it either"". This company is a joke and a waste of time. Listen to the reviews and request somewhere else.

Got these bozo's thru my home warranty company they came out and did my work and broke my toilet and then when I called them back they refused to come back out and fix it so it cost me twice the price thru my home warranty company. Don't use them they are terrible...

The single worst experience I've had of any contactor. Unreliable, they don't show up as promised, reschedule and don't show up again, disorganized (front office doesn't have a clue about anything).

My house was left a mess and the closet was destroyed and left in the condition of the pictures. I had to sweep my entire entryway because cement was everywhere. They didnt clean anything up. Whoever did the concrete apparently felt he needed to touch all of walls and leave his dirty fingerprints and hand prints. If I had a choice in choosing a company to do my repair(home warranty) I would have never used a company that barely has 2 stars in their reviews.

Waylon came out to fix our leaking Kohler bathroom faucet. After working on it for about an hour he reported that he needed a part that had to be ordered and it would take a week to 2 weeks. I found that hard to believe because you can buy Kohler parts at Home Depot. I called another plumber who we had used before we got our Fidelity National Home Warranty, he came out and fixed it in about 15 minutes. It's not worth the home warranty when the companies they use are so bad.

They came out on 4/3 to fix a stoppage of my bathtub through our home warranty company. The guy they sent spent about two hours at my house, most of which was spent chatting on his phone, not working on my tub. He dismantled the clean out pipe and left it on the floor, asked me for old towels to absorb the ick that came out when he was messing around with the clean out, and splashed some of that on the wall. He made a big mess, that he left for me to clean up. After all of this, he left, telling me that he didn't have the right tool, and he'd have to come back the following week.
Today, a week later, after waiting several hours, with no contact from the plumbing company, I called. The receptionist seemed to find it funny that I'd been told the plumber would be back today, because they aren't scheduled to be in my area until next week. I'm pretty sure the guy who was here last week also didn't tell anyone he needed to come back, because after I spoke with the receptionist, I got an email confirming service for next week. This is the only contact from this company since they left me with a smelly, unusable bathtub the week before.
I will never willingly allow these people in my house again. Lesson learned: don't use the on-line scheduling service for home warranty repairs. Call them in and insist on the local provider.

We have had an ongoing problem in our master bathroom with a clog in our pipes. Intercity was the plumber that was designated by our home warranty policy. Steve was very accommodating and very knowledgeable. We do not have the problem fixed yet, but they've scheduled the service for early next week and our fingers are crossed that they can fix this ongoing problem!
