Intercity Plumbing
Company Overview
We excel in plumbing repairs and renovations. This includes water heaters, faucets, showers, toilets, concealed leaks, sewer clogs, visual inspections, leak detection, repipes, reroutes, gas repipes, and gas line repairs.
Our family has served the Coachella Valley, Hi-Desert, and Inland Empire for five generations. We have a diverse team of male and female plumbing professionals. Our mission is to assist our customers in every possible way.
My name is Jim, and I am committed to honesty and customer support. My grandfather taught me the ins and outs of plumbing when I was 16. I taught my children the same way their great-grandfather taught me. We maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with our clients.
I want to clarify that we work with three home warranty companies and handle over 80 calls daily. We follow stringent guidelines and regulations dictated by their contracts on what actions we can take. The majority of bad reviews are due to warranty companies not covering certain problems, making us the middleman who gets blamed. I also choose not to pay Yelp to promote my positive reviews, despite their frequent calls. We have our own rating system through the warranty company, which is why we are preferred by them. If we were as bad as these reviews claim, we wouldn’t have secured these warranty agreements. Thank you.

My water heater went out on November 22, 2016 and I contacted the Home Warranty Company who referred me to Intercity Plumbing. Six days later, Intercity still had not contacted me. This was 6 wasted days...no excuse.

This company was sent by our home warranty company had a water heater that was not working very well. Richard the tech came out. Told me that it was fine and needed to be drained. He hooked up the hose and started the process telling me what to do when it was finished draining. upon finishing I noticed that the faucet where it was draining was leaking. I called back our home warranty company and was told to contact Intercity directly on Monday. I called and was rudely told that this was not their problem as our warranty does not cover draining of water heaters. I advised that they caused the problem, and was basically told ""too bad"". This company is a Joke their customer service is absolutely horrid. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!

update: communication from intercity.... 10/14/16

On water heater when we have to remove burner we cannot get into screws to remove we cut out outside cover as you can see in pic pan gets in our way it does not affect the water heater whatsoever and it still is under warranty parts are sent to us by manufacture and when we get them we install them

thanks for the response to my negative review.
IT IS CLEAR that you did not fully read it.. or view the pictures.... As stated after 4 days parts had never been ordered.
Also in regards to your response look closer at the pictures. the screws are not near the cut parts. in fact the screws are centered on the burner housing plate & there are two clearance notches that the mfg engineered into the case to access those.
Also the second tech who installed the new parts did not need or utilize the extra clearance made by the cuts..
perhaps you should contact the MFG to confirm,,,

I appreciate your concern I've done hundreds of these always had to cut some of the skirting to make access the pan is also in the way that's why we have to cut that warranty is still in affect just to let you know and I will look into my guys not going to a current supply outlet might have the product under warranty my office usual make phone calls to any supply house in the area and sometimes they don't let us know if is in due to them loosing money for changing out thermostat under warranty they have to wait for new one from the manufacture

Our heater went out. Our home warranty co sent them. Came on a wed. Said be out after they get ok from warranty co. Here comes Monday not a word. On phone all morning between Home warranty Co and this awful plumbing co. Make a long story short, plumbing co called me. It's been approved but we need a credit card for extras for code. I said ok what is the amount? $900. I said are you kidding me!!! Water heater covered, labor there is no way that will cost thst much money. Now we found a plumber to do it. Warranty co will only give us 531 after we send them a copy of invoice. You can hardly get a 50 gallon heater for that. This includes labor. I'm so mad. Ripping off their customers both Companys!!!

They came out through warranty co. and sawed my kitchen faucet off and made 2 holes in my 57 yr old wooden counter backsplash and said it's normal for damages they are not responsible and refused to fix it not only that the person I talked to was a total B!

This company was assigned by the warranty company for a leaking shower valve. Robert was who came to our home and had issues getting the valve apart. somehow when he was trying to get it apart he twisted the valve enough to break the valve and when the water was turned back on it was leaking both in the shower and in the wall. he admitted that he must have twisted it to hard but then proceeded to tell me that he did not have the tools to fix the leak and also would have to order the valve. I advised him that this was unacceptable as the leak required that all the water to the house would have to be left off. he said he was not sure what to do and just left???. When calling his office the owners daughter advised me that they could not come back until Saturday (4 days) and somehow I was just supposed to leave the water to my entire house off until then? obviously this company is about as unprofessional as any I have ever dealt with and will never be used by me again. note another company was contacted and they came out and fixed the same day!

Do Not use this company. I have American Home Shield and they sent these folks out for a second opinion for my Hot Water Heater. The hot water heater is dumping sediment and black ""stuff"" into my water supply. The technician stated and put in writing that the Hot water heater needed to be replaced. Then the ""front office"" calls in a ""diagnosis"" to American Home Shield that routine maintenance needs to be done. This is then used by AHS to deny the replacement. Remember, This company is working for AHS and needs to keep getting work so they will call in a diagnosis so the major repair gets rejected. They work together so Do Not use them. I cannot recommend them at all. The Hot water heater has been flushed more than 3 times this year, so maintenance has been done. So the ""called in"" diagnosis is bull crap. The technician states on the Invoice that the Hot water heater was flushed and did not correct the problem. My suggestion is to go with real, independent, plumbing companies that work under their own licence and gets their own jobs, not one that works for Home Warranty companies. Save your money, don't buy a home warranty, and get a real plumber when you need one. It is less hassle and you won't be fighting this company and the home warranty company either. The job will get done in reasonable time and the job will be done right!

Experienced great service by this company today and there plumber Ozzy. Ozzy came in and diagnosed the problem quickly - a broken garbage disposal. He went back to his truck and came back in with a new garbage disposal. He promptly replaced it and even cleaned up the area under the sink and floor. They were chosen by American Home Shield and we would definitely ask for Ozzy again. American Home Shield chose a great plumber!

I would never do business with this company. The were called out to the house I rent thru the extended warranty company for the master bathroom toilet to be fixed. When Randy got here he looked at the toilet and said he could not fix it unless he took the toilet off and that was not covered under the warranty. We called the homeowner and said agreed to pay the $125 to have the toilet fixed and he said that there was a 60 day warranty and that the problem was probably just roots. He took the toilet off and used there heavy tool to put down the drain. When he said he was done he left about 3 hours later i went to use it and it was doing the same thing would not flush. I left a message for All Intercity plumbing that this issue was in fact not fixed. I had to call them back the next morning as they did not call me. The office lady Vivian look at the invoices and told me they would need to come back out and that would be an additional charge for the homeowner. I continued to tell them that is what Randy did when he was here yesterday. Finally they said they talked with Randy and said that there was a bigger issue with the plumbing which he never said anything to me about just that it was fixed. I later found out the they had the nerve to suggest that i put something down the toilet and it was my fault it stopped up again. They refused to honor there 60 day warranty and in my opinion was/is taking advantage of the homeowner due to language barrier. They have refused to fix/help correct this issue Randy lied to the company as to what he said was wrong and what he actually did,.
Please don't use this company they are in Palm Springs, CA

I was assigned from my warranty company. It took four visits to fix/get parts to fix the problem. This was earlier this spring, what was surprising to me and unacceptable was when the replaced a cracked toilet and could not get it level. The floor tile was a little off in the front side. So the toilet rocked, I called them back out and they said its not their fault and would look at it. The toilet was also leaking at the bottom. Anyway they said they fixed it and left. Well about two days later it rocked and leaked again. I simply bought a new wax ring and plastic toilet shims to replace myself. WELL, when I pulled the toilet off they used cardboard to try and level the toilet! I could not believe this would take place, really sad... I fixed it myself and used one small plastic shim and set the wax ring. NO leak and rocking now.
the other problem was replacing the kitchen faucet, when he put the new faucet in he cracked our granite near the faucet and never told us about it, oh vey....
