We excel in plumbing repairs and renovations. We handle water heaters, faucets, showers, toilets, encased leaks, sewer stoppages, visual camera inspections, leak detection, re-piping, re-routing, gas re-piping, and gas line repairs.
Our family has served the Coachella Valley, Hi-Desert, and Inland Empire for five generations. Our team includes skilled male and female plumbing technicians. Helping our customers is our top priority.
I’m Jim, and I pride myself on my honesty and willingness to assist. At 16, my grandfather imparted his plumbing knowledge to me. I have passed this knowledge on to my daughter and son, just as their great-grandfather did for me. Our approach is always professional and respectful towards our customers.
I’d like to point out that we collaborate with three home warranty companies and take on over 80 calls a day. We operate under strict rules and regulations from their contracts about what we can and cannot perform. The majority of bad reviews are due to warranty companies not covering certain problems, making us the middleman who gets blamed. I also choose not to pay Yelp to promote my positive reviews, despite their frequent calls. We have our own rating system through the warranty company, which is why we are preferred by them. If we were as bad as these reviews claim, we wouldn’t have secured these warranty agreements. I appreciate your attention.

Horrible experience. Intercity is a contractor for my home warranty company. It took nine days to get an appointment to fix my leaking faucet. The plumber arrived on January 24th, determined the leak was the faucet, and had to call for authorization to change it out. I called the warranty company and they had already authorized this work, but whatever. It took another eight days to get an appointment. However, today was the third appointment in a row that was canceled, and no replacement plumber has been offered.
I have to have an 11 foot by 2 foot section of wall and insulation torn out as well as the row of cabinets under the faucet. This may not be the fault of these plumbers, but they sure aren't helping!!! My homeowners insurance will not start remediation until the leak is stopped.

Horrible receptionist/secretary. She acts and speaks so entitled and does not understand the meaning of building customer rapport to increase their client base which in turn generate more business for them to keep her as their very unprofessional receptionist/secretary. If she is related to the owner, who by the way was great and seems to be an honorable man, the owner needs to severe their ties or this business will spiral down fast.
Because of her unprofessional-ism and entitlement, I am still waiting for my shower to be fix and the home warranty company is still waiting on them as well.

I am a director of a restaurant and I know how to speak to people and I know that sometimes people on the other line when you were at work make you frustrated. But you need to handle, you need to hold your own.... do you know how many times I felt like I wanted to be rude to a customer? But I never have... Because I am an adult and I am a woman who doesn't treat people with disrespect just because I feel entitled to. Not to mention your technician won't even look me in the face because he is that rude as well. What did you just hire every single person with a rotten attitude in the valley for your company?
Jim, you need to seriously talk to your customer service agent especially Desiree. You need to tell them that it's not OK to treat people like that and that you don't give them the authority to do that. Your business and your family are being affected by this woman and I think that it is time to reevaluate her employment.
Do not write me back with some shady ass comment saying oh this is what kind of person you are. I am upset. I am not a horrible person and I didn't leave a review slashing anyone's character. She did that all on her own. Now on to the Better Business Bureau

Terrible customer service, terrible commucation, terrible attitude. I Missed appointment after waiting 5 hours.
Don't just read this review. Check the others! Office staff needs training and skills.
I mentioned I was going to call my Home Warr. to change to another vendor. ""Go ahead, they'll send you back to us anyway"".
Really? That's the response from you?
Needles to say, my HW company got us connected with another vendor for service tommorow. Imagine that!

I wanted to post a favorable review for Intercity Plumbing. They were sent to me through my home warranty program. Waylon, my technician, was great............very professional with excellent customer service skills. When he arrived, he immediately diagnosed my problem and proceeded to fix it.
The only negative I'd report is the lack of service technicians. It took too long for someone to come out. Hire more service techs.!

Always came within the specified window and called before arrival. They fit me in for a second minor adjustment the next day after I called. Waylon was very personable and efficient. My problem was fixed and I'm pleased. Personnel on phone always pleasant.

My home warranty company assigned intercity plumbing they called the same day to set up appointment. Had to wait 5 days for them to come out not too big of a deal problem was guest shower. Technician showed up on time was polite and courteous. I explain the problem he understood it and solved it within minutes. Thanks Chino Hills Customer

Total scam outfit using the home warrantee companies as a means to scam customers. Needed a hot water heater replacement and tried to charge me $850 in ""code upgrades"". That is on top of what the warranty company pays them for the job. Tried to charge for earthquake straps that I already have, Drain pan that I already had, etc. etc. etc. SCAM, SCAM SCAM. STAY AWAY!!

11/28/18. So just got off the phone with the manager? Of Inter-City Plumbing. Wow. What a charmer this lady was. Bright too. Had a leaky toilet last year upstairs in guest bathroom. Just moved in and home warranty had this jewel of a company. Guy shows up spends all of 8 minutes in the bathroom. He asks me to turn on the water outside and by the time I got back upstairs he was packing up. I asked him ""what was the quick fix?"" He replied ""magic."" That very night got home and there was water pouring through my garage ceiling from the very toilet that was magically fixed upstairs.
Had to get another service out to fix the problem and told the home warranty to please send a different service out. 2nd plumber was a young guy, smart and respectable. Fixed the problem and told me the old plastic leaky valve was the problem and so he replaced it. ""10 minute fix"" he told me. I asked him how he felt that the first guy could have missed it and he replied that he must've just been lazy. Also that it's a few dollar fix and should have just replaced it as it was likely the issue.
I wait over a year for insurance co. to get some of my cash back but in the end it's a no go. Too hard to prove that an inept service caused the flooding and eventually reimburse me.
Fine. I'll give a call to them and see if they wanna make any attempt to make this right. I'm not looking for full repayment, just a hint of professional courtesy, and some show of them trying to be reputable. Ehhhh no. I was met with suspicious questions and defensive posture. A remark about how I wouldn't get anything in court?! Hey lady, simmer down now, I'm just asking if you want to settle this like adults. I said that I'm not gonna sue anybody, but she and I knew that this was negligence on her employee's part and I'm out thousands of dollars on my deductible. I'll just take measures to make sure people are aware of how I was mistreated. She told me something along the line of go ahead and give it a try. So that's what I'm doing.
Dont call these people unless you want horrible service and when things go wrong some lady who thinks she's smart (believe me, she's not) to give you the company, hard-ass line. There's plenty of plumbers that do good work. Oh and on that note, I refused a follow up with this company for the second visit. The home warranty can give you a different option. They did for me and the next guys were courteous and effective.

Still in shock after that phone call. Trying to explain our turn off value is leaking after I had to turn it off after they left and I that left a message for them Friday after hours. This is Tuesday - no call back. We are waiting for a part they don't have in stock. It was ordered to ship regular USPO - ""... it should be a week. Call us back after a week.""
Waiting for a part not over-nighted while water is leaking not even getting any apology what so ever? Just, WOW! How many plumbing companies are in the desert? Moving on.
