My experience echos the other negative reviews. One of the office staff is indeed very rude. They misdiagnosed one of my issues and nothing would be covered by my home warranty. Hmmm, sounds oddly familiar!! Beware!!

Not impressed with this company. Very unprofessional and LAZY. I was referred by American Home Shield and I feel Immediate Response Plumbing will say and do anything to not work, they get paid a service fee, either way. Not having them come back to my house

I was sent to them from my home warranty company (AHS) when I had a leaking garbage disposal and leaking hot water heater.

My appointment window was 0800-1200 and I got a call at 0730 letting me know they would be there at 0830. I was sent a text that I could track their travel time which was awesome. Gus and Michael arrived right at 0830 and were very friendly and professional.

Gus tackled my hot water heater while Michael took care of the garbage disposal. Both were very knowledgeable in their work, were more than happy to answer my questions and explained everything.

Their work was quality work and I would recommend them to anyone!

The plumbers that came to the house were very nice, the problem is the office manager! Over the course of a month I was trying to get my tankless hot water heater repaired. Part of the time issue was working around the constraints of the home warrantee contract. However, Immediate Response only has one person that works on tankless hot water heaters. After the first visit, it stopped working again and the plumber came out and said it was blowing the breaker and I should get an electrician out to look at the circuit, which I did, and the electrician said it was fine. The plumber returned days later and this time decided it was a bad heating element. He called the company and they didn't make parts for that brand anymore. The home warrantee company called me and asked if I would like to replace it or take a cash buy out, I opted for the replacement. Unfortunately, Immediate Response was my only choice to do the replacement, and instead of ordering a highly rated locally available tankless hot water heater, they placed an order through a company that took several days to send a more expensive lower rated unit. There is clearly a disconnect between the plumber and the awful office staff. The plumber comes and says nothing has been ordered, which my home warrantee company confirmed, but the office manager said they were wrong and the order was confirmed to be in that day or the next and refused to book the plumber to come out... three days later she confirmed the items were received, but then we had to wait through the weekend to get the repairs done. I pleaded with the office manager to schedule the plumber to come out as soon as possible, and that I would be available at a moments notice because I had a houseful of guests coming for the holidays. She suggested that maybe I should have taken the buy out and done it myself. To date, I still do not have a fully functional water heater.

I want to thank Diane and Eloy for saving my sanity today. I have had a ceiling leak that resulted in losing our hot water. This is an issue that had been going on for 6 days. Another plumber missed the source of the leak on his first visit, couldn't repair it in his second visit and didn't inform the warranty company until a day later. By the time the job was assigned to IR, I was in tears and beyond frustrated. After my initial contact with Mrs Diane, she dispatched Eloy and he resolved my 6 day issue. He was in and out in less than an hour and the total response time to resolve my issue was less than 4 hours!!! Thank you so much for your quick response!!!

Please do not use this company. They are out to charge you as much as possible with out any good reason. I just needed a water heater replaced that is in warranty and completely up to code and they wanted $350.00 flat rate plus a Water Regulator for $650.00. They would not do the water heater replacement with out the regulator so $1000.00 for a heater that is in warranty. I waited a day for them to come out and my family is without hot water and now I have to start the process all over again.

REPEAT!!!!! DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!

ON SEPTEMBER 14-15, 2016, Immediate Response was contracted by American Home Shield to come out and repair a in-wall leak at our residence. They dispatched a journeyman plumber that commenced cutting through sheet rock on the outer walls (living room) of our half-bath. Which was done because there was a wood panel wall in the half bath. Only then did they inform us that to get to the leak we would have to pay them an additional $100 to have them cut through the wood. Which if they would have informed us initially about the wood panel cut and the charge (and not cut a holes on the outside of the bathroom in our living room), we would have promptly removed the wood panel rather then have them cut holes in our living room walls.

While "we" were removing the wood panel they decided to depart asking us for payment and to reschedule repairs for tomorrow. On the way out they checked our water pressure and listed the measurement on the invoice and tried to sell us on replacing the water pressure regulator (Cost - $550) because our pressure reading was 114psi.

When they returned the following day they again checked the water pressure and continued to sell us on replacing the regulator. He then informed AHS that the leak was due to a failed pressure regulator! The leak was less then a centimeters from a 90 degree joint that had wear on the bottom of the pipe as it sits on wood and a metal protective plate. Because of the journeyman plumber's "guess" that the pipe leaked due to the failed regulator AHS denied our claim! Contacted the Owner only to be belittled and hung-up on.

Multiple Issues with this company.
*Inexperienced and untrustworthy plumbers
*They give a diagnoses based on "up selling motive" and not true and valid findings.
*Owner is not willing to take constructive criticism, combative and very unprofessional. Refuses to believe there is an issue and thinks the customer is only trying to screw him out of money, which seems to be the other way around.
* Fair Market Price to replace regulator $250. Immediate Responses was $550.

Consumer Warning - went through a second opinion process and convinced American Home Shield to agree to cover repairs. Leak repaired by a different company. Stay away from Immediate Response Plumbing! They will take a relatively easy repair and create a full blown costly mess. As well, they will try to take you for every possible dollar through false diagnosis and misrepresentations.

If they are your only option, make sure that you get them to tell you everything upfront before beginning because if you end up with an issue the owner will not be of any help. He will say whatever he can to justify the actions of his plumbers and stick you with the bill. BUYER BEWARE!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! Shame on American Home Shield for continuing to use the vendor. I wish I would have seen all the other bad reviews before allowing them in my home. American Home Shield sent this company to my home to due to home due to leak in the hallway. They cut a hole in the ceiling and stated the leak was due to rodent bites. We just purchased this home and just had it inspected no evidence of rodents was reported, and the plumber could not provide any evidence of rodents. He said he would leave us the pipe that was bitten for proof, but he didn't. That was the first lie. Asked him to provide and itemized list he said he would as soon as they were done. When they were done he said he could not provided an itemized list. Lie number two. He said the company does not provide itemized invoices after he told me he would. 15 min of labor about 8" long 1/2" wide plastic pipe, 2 or 3 plastic caps comes to $600+ the $75 service fee. When I complained that he could not provide me the itemized list that he agreed to he became rude. I told him you have my signature you may leave my home now, and he continued to run his mouth all the way down my drive way. They didn't even have everything they needed. They had to borrow my husbands ladder which is now covered in all the crap they pulled out of the ceiling. They did even bother to try to clean it up or my walls.Your review helps others learn about great local businesses.

Please don't review this business if you received a freebie for writing this review, or if you're connected in any way to the owner or employees.

EDIT Monday, April 3, 2017: Since I posted this review, I've received a Yelp message, a message through my website's contact form, and a woman SHOWED UP AT MY HOUSE to talk about it.

Supposedly, the woman works for an attorney who is suing them or something. Her name was Julie Barela. She's the one who messaged me here, and I know she's emailed others who left negative reviews, though, because the Yelp message she sent me addressed me by the wrong name, so it was a form letter she was sending to everyone.

When I didn't respond, she showed up at my house, saying she'd found my address online, and stated some personal things about me, like a stalker. I told her to give me the attorney's name she supposedly worked for, and she wouldn't do it.

The message via my site was from Jason Brown. These may not even be their real names.

Three times now, I've been harassed about this review. I contacted Yelp customer service, and they were no help because the harassment is taking place offline. I guess it's time to contact the police.

Completely dishonest. I'd give them negative five stars if I could.

Like most other reviewers here, the only reason we had them come to the house was they were sent by our home warranty company for a slab leak. I'm starting to wonder whether those two companies are running some sort of scam.

They lied, tried to overcharge, tried to do work on the house without first confirming it with the homeowner (we rent from my mom), and told me the home warranty wouldn't cover any of the work. How would he know that? It's not his place to say what the warranty will and will not cover.

When I asked them to leave until we confirmed whether the home warranty would cover the repairs, his attitude immediately changed. He became cold and rude. After the plumbers left, the plumbing company called the home warrant company and told them there is "soil movement and structural damage." He did NOT say anything about that to me while he was here. So now the home warranty company is saying they won't cover the repairs at all.

My mom is now about to spend thousands of dollars out of pocket (not with these liars; we'll be calling Will Fix It, the company that usually handles all our maintenance) because the home warranty she's had for four years isn't worth the paper it's printed on, and because these plumbers LIED first to me, then to the warranty company.

By the way, the receptionist is one of the rudest, nastiest, most inconsiderate people I've ever had the displeasure of speaking to in my life.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

In Feb 2016 this company responded to a home warranty call at the home I rent to an elderly female tenant. They had the tenant sign and agree to the work without my knowledge...even though they verified while setting up the appointment that I was the owner and were told to call me for the repairs (so apparently they understand that the property owner or an authorized agent must consent to the work). $250 to excavate a 1x1x1 hole to diagnose a sprinkler regulator issue. They then told my tenant that the part was $525 plus labor. It did not sound right to me when the tenant called me (from states away) when the worker left to get the "golden part". They didnt contact me (the owner and one they had spoken to in setting up the appointment) about the needed repairs. So I immediately called another company for a second opinion. Turns out the part was $56 and with 2 hours of labor the entire repair was under $250. The owner, Bob, called to inquire what "the problem was". When I explained that they were trying to charge at outrageously high amount and taking advantage of an elderly widow (my tenant) and myself, he informed me I still owed him $250 for the "excavation". I politely informed him that he did not have my permission to do anything on my property...that I was not asked or informed...and that they were trying to charge rates way out of line with honest plumbers. He then informed me that he would be contacting his attorney. This company's practice of trying to take advantage of women and the elderly is simply appalling. I would never recommend this company as they obviously are not honest about the costs of parts and try to do business in a deceitful manner by not informing the client/home owner of what they intend to do. I never would have used if they werent the contracted plumber for American Home Shield. I have notified AHS of this situation and hopefully they will chose a more honest company to use for their clients in the future.
