Ideal replaced my kitchen sink & faucet. They're very expensive and did not offer any discounts of any kind, but they're the only company who responded to my Home Advisor request after several months of waiting. The job was a bit complicated, but they were punctual, professional and did good work. During the process, I became aware that Ideal has merged with Mauzy, so small independent guys are being squeezed out. If you need help, Ideal will help you and they will do the job right, but it's gonna cost you.

Mr. Cortez came today to flush out my 7 year old water heater Ideal had installed. City of San Diego had instalked a new meter in Feb, shutting off the water. When it was turned back on had to flush suspended particles out by running faucets. I was so happy when Mr. Cortez took care that the water heater had clean H20 also!

I'd like to leave a great review for David Haynes at Ideal Plumbing. Had a toilet that was constantly running, likely a pretty standard repair. Not only was David on time & very professional, he had diagnosed & completed the repair quickly & competently. He was transparent up front with the total cost as soon as he saw what was going on, and didn't pressure unnecessary upgrades. It was an easy and stress-free transaction, and was able to move forward with the rest of the day quickly. Highly recommended & would use again.

Had my entire HVAC redone by them and was planning a couple room reno projects this year. Just had them out to quote 2 small jobs and a water heater, and I was SHOCKED at the change in their pricing model. I sent multiple emails and called asking if there was a mistake, only got a response when I emailed someone I had dealt with from the HVAC, otherwise ignored. In all quotes the labor (they don't quote labor anymore but if you know the price of the hardware, the rest is labor!) was around 800 in every quote.

This is a review for San Diego, CA.
A very shady company with dishonest business tactics - beware and stay away at all costs!!! A few years ago, it used to be a good company and we used it at least 6-8 times since 2017, but now ONLY profit matters to them. The plumber arrived at our residence and tried to sell us over $5,000 in services and projects before completing the job that he was hired for. Additionally, he did only a half of the work correctly (because he was BS-ing half of the time), which resulted in us hiring another company. $260 in the drain! The operator tried to blame us for lack of maintenance and tried to sell us the same services. I thought that this was a plumbing, air, and heating not a car dealership. One we talked to their supervisor, the same story... PLEASE DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO THIS COMPANY! DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THEM!

This is an update on my review from a couple weeks ago. Joel, whom I am guessing is a manager/supervisor, called to apologize for my experience and stated that he misunderstood the service person who looked at my job and the quote he gave me was too much. Joel did refund the $59 trip charge for my quote. As previously mentioned I have used Ideal Plumbing for over 35 years and I will be willing to try them again when I need a plumbing repair done. Thank you Joel for your follow up and the refund.

Our 30+ year old air conditioner went out last weekend during the heat wave. I called Ideal Monday morning at 8:00am. They were booked up, but promised to try to squeeze us in. Lars, their wonderful technician, repaired the problem (a capacitor) and checked out the whole system. Our house was cool by 11:00am! As Lars left, he said we should be good for another 5 years! We had been afraid that the whole unit would need to be replaced. We have been customers with Ideal for many years and are thankful that we can confidently call on them for any of our electrical, plumbing, heating or air conditioning needs.

my pilot light went out on my water heate. the owner, Don, came over at 7:30 pm to relight it. ideal is pricey, but their customer service is worth it!
