I had a leaking showing head in our bathroom: drip, drip, drip, all night long. We had a home warranty so I filed a claim to get it fixed. The drip drip SOUND was from the water leaking into the p-trap. I knew this. I was able to trace the problem to the flow valve for the shower but was unfamiliar with the brand. The ceramic cartridge for the valve was likely leaking and I though a plumber would be better to get it fixed. First plumber came, saw our fancy shower setup and said it was too complex for him. No charge. The home warranty company took another 2 weeks to find us a more qualified plumber. They had the owner of Hurst come to look at it, nice. Except all he did was tell me what I already knew about the sound coming from the p-trap and told me that the shower head dripping was just the way it was after a shower. Bu!!$h!t. The shower head dripped for over 24 hours after the last shower. Clearly the valve was leaking. He said he'd do an ""assessment"" and get back to me. He never got back to me. So I called back the home warranty co to have them come back out. This all happened so slowly that I spent all of 30 minutes on the internet to identify the maker of the valve, which had a lifetime warranty on the ceramic cartridge. They identified the model with a couple pics from my phone and sent me out a new ceramic valve cartridge for free. I installed it myself and it instantly fixed the leak. Amazing. Don't waste your time with these guys. I had told him exactly what the problem was and he refused to fix it. Meh.

These guys might be good for bigger jobs, but for something as simple as this (which should have been an easy fix and money maker for them) it was a waste of time.

Hurst Plumbing was assigned to me by my home warranty company (First American). The technician who came out was zero motivated. He said, he couldn't clear my drain, because there is no access. The tubes under the sink would be all glued together. Then he was gone. It took me (not a professional!) 2 minutes to open the access.
Just had to open three rings...
Never again Hurst plumbing!

This was our first time using Hurst Plumbing Services through our home warranty. Our rental had a bathtub diverter problem. A XXX plumbling company diagnosed the problem which was an estimated 3-4 hours repair job and to be opened ceiling and completed the repair by 2 plumbers ...We were told that it is a very big repair! The Home warranty company referred us to the Hurst Plumbing. I contacted with the office manager Heidi and she was great!!! And very professional!!! Heidi and the Owner, Todd helped us to arrange the repairs on Saturday and sent two technicians, Ivan and his assistant to the property. Ivan and his assistant had shown up on very short notice very quickly and knew exactly what they were and done with the job within 10 minutes in a professional manner. Thanks Todd, Heidi and their team provide us with great quality work!!!

We look forward to using Hurst Plumbing again in the near future and we highly recommend their services!!

Add me to the list of never again. Home warranty company, First American, sent them to help me with a water heater issue. Heidi in the office was very helpful in getting someone out quickly - I wish she hadn't bothered. Their representative came as scheduled - took one look at my water heater and told me he'd have to replace the whole thing as you couldn't get parts for them anymore. And, by the way, you'll have to have a shorter heater next time as the new ones wouldn't fit in the space so they'd have to move the connections. It all smelled like bull - and it was. I looked on line and the parts were easy to come by - the local appliance store had them in stock. I bought one there and fitted it myself - a 15 minute job and the hot water is back on.

These guys are just crooks trying to do unnecessary work.

If only I could leave 0 stars. We scheduled an appointment through our home warranty for 9:45am to 11:45am with Ivan. We both work and do not have a very flexible schedule. We waited 6 days for this appointment. We were home all morning, we got no call. At 11:15am we saw the truck pull up, so we took the dogs to the back. We opened the front door to greet them and a card falls from the door.

Card says "" sorry we miss u. Can you call to reschedule appt please is our fault we were late. ""

No call, no knock, and he didn't even take the time to talk to us in person. We walked out to our porch hoping he would see us. He just left in his van.

We called their number, no answer. Then called our home warranty who called them as well. Home warranty got a hold of a woman who said our plumber claimed they knocked and waited for 10 minutes and no one answered. This is a LIE. There is no way this was possible. I am SO disappointed. I understand that things come up but at least have the decency to speak to us face to face. The LIE is what really sent me over the edge. Very unprofessional.

We had to use Hurst through our not so efficient home warranty company First American and Hurst did their best to help us out to move things along on two separate claims. Now we have a working toilet and hot water again!

Very bad experience with Hurst plumbing here.

Through my home warranty company I had a Hurst guy come to our house to replace a garbage disposer. The guy was perhaps 20 and was greeting me (in my 50's) ""dude"" or ""bro"". And most definitely clueless. I am actually a fairly handy man myself and eventually had no problem replacing the disposal which cost me $60 on Amazon (exact same model I had before). But Hurst dude was telling me that disposals like mine are no longer manufactured and that, in order to put a new one in, he needed to install a flange otherwise it would not feet. And, BTW, the flange is $70 or so and IS NOT COVERED. All in all, he spent two minutes in the house and had done nothing. Then a message was left on my phone that they needed to back order a disposal and it would not come in for AT LEAST another two weeks all the while I am having a stinking old disposal and no way to wash anything properly. I called the First American who dispatched Hurst in the first place and filed a formal grievance. I then bought the replacement disposal on Amazon and installed it myself in 30 minutes. But then they still charged $65 for the service call (and a disastrous experience) and pushed it to a collection agency! I am canceling my First American warranty for sure and advise everybody to steer clear from them and from Hurst plumbing. Disgusting.

I have used Hurst 3 times. One through the first American home warranty and two other times on my own. VERY pleasant, fast and proficient service. It's unfortunate some reviews are negative but They have shown up on very short notice very quickly and done with the job in a professional manner. I always look for service and I certainly recommend Hurst Plumbing.
Thank you Todd for a great service and reasonable price on such short notice.
