I had originally posted an honest detailed review on how horrible my experience was with Dis Honest plumbing, but I was bullied into taking it down. All I can say is calling them was one of the biggest mistakes I ever made! Be careful!

They did not show up to a job this morning and then when called about it, the husband/owner rudely told me that he couldn't even fix my problem. When I informed him that the lady I spoke with yesterday told me they could fix it, he stated, ""Well, I never said that, it was my wife"".

Save yourself the time and go with a company that is reliable with good customer service.

EDIT: THIS BUSINESS IS CURRENTLY THREATENING TO SUE ME AND MY FAMILY IF I DON'T REMOVE THIS NEGATIVE POST. His attorney contacted me via registered mail threatening a law suit if I don't remove the posting within 10 days. Suing your dissatisfied customers?? Really? Good luck running your business this way buddy. Word gets around whether you like it or not. It's not a surprise that I'm not the only 1 star review on here. You can't sue all of us, but I wonder how many more have been taken down?

Written 4/16/14, edited 5/21/14: ""This guy had me start the job based on a good, low bid and proceeded to raise the price after my portion of the work was underway. This just happened 5 minutes ago so this is my clearest recollection of events.

He originally quoted me $6500 to replace the water main. We worked out a price for a new copper water main at $3500 if I dug the trenches. He then told me that if I wanted to pay with a credit card he would need to charge me an extra 1-3% possibly if my card was a certain type of rewards card. Then, he told me, after looking at the card, that he would need to charge an extra 6%. So I play along and agree to the 6% because I had no other payment method and I thought the price would stick there. At that point, I went and dug the trenches. When I asked about the permitting process he told me that would cost an extra $200/hour for his time with city plus whatever the permits cost. ""I don't mind paying an added cost directly to the city for permits, but $200/hour is very high for your time"", I said and he replied, ""Well, that is our rate for the install and all the work we do"". I said, ""Wait, you quoted me $3500 for the job + 6% for CC payment."" He said, ""No, I told you $3500-3900 and I will, of course, have to charge by the hour for our work."" This was the FIRST I'D HEARD OF THIS PRICING MODEL OR THE FIGURE $3900. I replied, ""I feel like you are trying to drive the price up now that I have a trench in my front yard and leave the door open to raise the price even more during the job. You and I agreed on a price and I have no problem walking away if you are going to continue to increase it."" He said, ""Ok you know what? We're good. We're not going to do the job."" We both said goodbye and hung up. This is what I get for trusting this guy enough (because he'd done work for us in the past) to let him bid a big job without having it in writing.

WALK AWAY!!!! THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER PLUMBERS IN BURBANK/GLENDALE. They don't deserve your business.""

BEWARE!! Do not use!!
Worst experience ever. I had to have my entire sewer line replaced and the bill was $10,000. I told Ben straight up I did not have that kind of money laying around, but I was stuck, the line had to be replaced. He said he would work with me. I was able to pay him some money as the job was going on. When the job was complete, I got a call the very next day, ""where is my money."" What?? He knew it was going to take some time to get the money together and he suggested borrowing from friends and family! The calls kept coming every other day it seemed. I told him I was begging, borrowing and practically stealing to get him paid. Then the wife gets on the phone. She was extremely threatening, she tried to tell me that no one accepts payments. Are you kidding me??? He follows up with more calls that get more and more ominous in tone. I really felt like they were one step away from sending thugs to my door. DO NOT USE!!!

This was the worst call of my life! Do not be suckered in by the name! They charged me almost $6,000 for a main line re-pipe, and then missed the connection for my laundry room and bathroom (this mistake cost me all of my family room carpeting and drywall when black water from the bathroom flooded back in my washing machine drain! Then the owner charged me to fix his mistake and broke my washing machine when one of his techs threw a tool on top of it while at work (which took many calls to get repaired, over a month later)! I had another very reputable plumber (wish I could give them a shout out here!) look at my invoice for the re-pipe and he said I was ""grossly overcharged"". There's honestly nothing honest about Ben and Honest Plumbing. His wife runs the office and she is also rude and terribly unprofessional! You will thank me if you go elsewhere!

These guys just came out to service my tankless water heater. They were AWESOME!

Completely knowledgable about my Noritz brand and were able to show me what was wrong, what they did to fix the issue and how I can prevent my problem in the future.

The crew was professional, clean and friendly.

This was my first experience with this company and it won't be my last. I'm switching to Honest Plumbing.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
""Honest"" does not describe this company or Ben the owner. The water pressure was high in my house and the release value was leaking. i was quoted a price of $475 for the pressure regulator, which I found out later typically includes the cost of the release valve. He wanted $200 extra dollars for the relief value (it is an expensive part according to him but it actually costs about 20 dollars and takes 1 minute to install). Then on top of that he told me the pressure regulator should not be in a concrete box in the ground so I had to pay them to dig it out and move it for another $300 dollars. Now I am $975. On top of that he tried to say his quote was 575, not 475.

He even said he smelled something bad under my house and the sewer main probably broke but he will look at it for free! I went to the area that he said he smelled something but did not smell a thing. I have a great sense of smell and am sure I would smell raw sewage if it was under my house. Inflated prices and shady behavior are what you will get if you use them. After I found out what other plumbers would change for the same job, I told him I was gouged and wanted a cheaper price. In the end (after a lot of drama) I paid $775 but I will never use this company ever again.

PS- there are a lot of fake reviews on this site.

They gave me an estimate for $3,900 to replace the sewer line while they had street already dug up to fix my neighbors sewer line & I said no cant afford it .Then he said OK I'll do it for $3,000 Not very honest & would not trust there estimate. Going to call someone else for future pluming work

I'm really surprised on some of the reviews these are the greatest people. I've used Honest plumbing on 4/jobs a major main line city job, a regulator job, a pipe hydro cleaning job & now today a last min. Bathroom tub clog. ( had to replace the pipes under the house & replaced clean out & trap also the stainless steel drain in the tube) I called Dina & Ben and they were even on vacation and they got there guys over here ASAP!!! And I have to add this, the guys who came Gilbert & his partner ( sorry i forgot his name) are very helpful & polite they tell you all the steps they are doing they show you the parts & take pictures to show the damage under the house if your unable to see yourself.
They were very clean & respectful with a sense of humor that really helps when your in need & stressed out.
All in all it was a fast clean inexpensive job and I'm really thankful to of found them THANKS SO MUCH the little things in life like taking a shower tonight felt GREAT!!!
Thank you Steve & Lorie
