This is my second time using them. About a year ago I had to replace my entire sewer line to the street. They did it for a very fair price and completed the work in one day. So, when I had a new issue this week, I didn't hesitate to call them again.
We had Pedro and Minar come out to fix a leaky bathroom sink that had gotten so bad we had to shut off the water to the whole house. They arrived 30 minutes earlier than the time they said (a very pleasant surprise). They gave me a good price, worked well, and quickly repaired my existing fixture.
However, a few hours later I saw it was leaking again and I called back quite angry. The owner Ben called me back personally and sent them back to me right away. This time they completely replaced the fixture with a new part, and we discovered I had two separate leaks, as I had the water to my refrigerator connected to this water source and that connection was also leaking. They went out and purchased a new connection part and replaced that for me also free of charge.
The entire time Pedro and Minar were courteous and professional, showing me the problems so I could verify it for myself. Ben called me again to make sure everything worked out well,
I appreciated the fact that when I called back angrily, they responded right away to return and worked to make sure they completed the job to my satisfaction. You find out a lot about a company when problems arise not just when everything goes smoothly. I have had both experiences with them, and their commitment to make sure they did the job right and had a satisfied customer is all I can ask for. I hope I don't have the need for a plumber again anytime soon, but if I do I will be using them again.
Rachelle M.Honest plumbing- Ben it the greatest! I've been waiting for several days for my septic tank to be pumped. When I called Ben, he said"" I'll be there no problem. He kept his promise and they are here as promised. Jose and Carlos are respectful of the property and very careful when moving my patio furniture etc. They were here in less than 24 hour notice. Can't beat that! If you have any plumbing issues, don't hesitate! Call honest plumbing!

Barry H.They were perfect. On time, professional, clean, careful, and fair priced. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend them to friends.
STAY AWAY from this business. My 74 year old mother called in a panic because her water heater was leaking. She had already called these guys and luckily I got there in time. The guy's looking at the 40 gallon gas water heater in the garage and shaking his head. ""Where do you want me to start?"" he says. I've remodeled homes, and was confused. Sure, there was a lot of water, but it's just the heater leaking, right? ""Right, he says and luckily, he happens to have a 40 gallon heater in his truck for $1,400. What about labor? ""No, just the tank""
I ask him to leave ( he goes to his truck) and I'm already calling to make other arrangements when he comes back ""so, I talked to my boss and he's willing to..."". I interrupted him and simply told him since I actually knew what a hot water heater costs and he was willing to cheat a 74 year old living on social security I had no desire to do business with them.
Not sure how people like this sleep at night.
Btw, had the heater delivered and installed the next day for a total of $700 (everything included).
Ryan D.I'm a plumber with another company and met the owner at Starbucks today he is an exceptionally honest plumber he seems very experienced in his profession and is honestly a nice guy
Grace M.Great service, especially for sewer line repairs or replacement. Ben really knows what he is doing and they are very responsive, especially when you have an emergency. Reliable and quick to serve.
So far, our experience with Honest Plumbing & Rooter, Inc. (HP&R) has been pleasant. They were available late Saturday afternoon and did their very best to diagnose the problem quickly. Our home is old therefore the plumbing is old too. The beginning quote was for a basic job, however, we had been warned previously about the problem being more severe. HP&R concluded the same prognosis, that indeed the problem was severe. Ben, the owner, who I spoke with once by phone was sincere about working with our very, very small budget. The workers were polite and honest. In a perfect world, all home repairs would be done pro bono, unfortunately, one never knows what will be found under the surface and well, businesses do not operate for free. I recommend HP&R because the workers were polite, they showed up in a timely manner, and they will work with your budget.
Tommy G.I have used Honest Plumbing a couple of times, and they did the job. I was very happy with the work too. Its always good to be able to contact a service, and know they will be able to fix the problem, Honest is that way. I would recommend them for your plumbing needs.
We have a 70-year old house and the problems that come with it. Restoration hasn't been happening as fast as we would like it, but bit by bit we're doing what we can. That being said, we've been working with Ben and his wife Deana for years and wouldn't consider calling anyone else for our plumbing needs.
The time came when we had to replace everything plumbing-wise under the house to the street. Yes, it cost us thousands and was done in increments, but Ben, Deana and their crew made the ouch of the whole thing hurt much less. They treated us like family and understanding our situation, gave us the best possible estimate considering.
I've been reading some of the negative experiences some have encountered with them and it's a shame, really. It's been a few years since we've needed a plumber, but of course our bathroom sink was miserably clogged (in the trap, nothing to do with the work they previously did). Ben and his assistant came right over, gave me a big hug, fixed the problem for us and didn't charge us a cent.
I debated whether or not to share the last part as it's not fair to expect anyone to work for free, but included to show you what kind of guy he is. When we first went to Honest years ago and realized the magnitude of our 70-year old house issues, Ben's philosophy was it's better to do someone good the first time around and have friends and customers for life, than the opposite.
I wasn't asked to do this, just want to balance some of the negativity I'm seeing. Trust me, my husband and I have had our share of BAD contractors and home repair experiences (I joined Angie's List and the first person we hired was a BAD electrician, cancelled that service!), it's been actually refreshing to know Ben and company are there for us... Perhaps folks should also take into consideration the customers THEY have to deal with!
