The most ridiculous service industry at the lake. I wanted 3 attic fans replace. I had all the hardware. Their bid was 4000.00!!! I found a real honest electrician who did it for 500.00. It took him 3 hours. Not so honest Abe is a no.

Mike and Tim installed a new HVAC System in our home. They conducted themselves in a very professional manner. They also completed the job much faster than expected. They did a great job. I would recommend this company to our friends.

Honest Abe's is not so honest and took advantage of the elderly. My elderly mom had already paid to have her furnace, A/C unit, hot water heater, and water softener replaced when Honest Abe's convinced her to sight up for their ""Gold Service"" package. After charging her $4,000 for the ""Gold Service"" package, my mother passed away a few months later. I sold her house immediately and called Honest Abe's for a refund. I was told they don't issue refunds but the service package would transfer to the new owners. What??? So Honest Abe's got to pocket $4,000 without doing any work, nice!!!

I call Honest Abe's late in the afternoon to get a quote for work at my home. Tim came out that same afternoon. He listened to what I needed done and recommended some items I hadn't even considered. They came out the next day, based on my schedule. All of the work was done professionally and to my complete satisfaction. Will definitely call again when in need.

Good work and on time. We needed a plumber to install a water softener, change out the main water entrance, and rough in for new kitchen. Timing was critical. Anthony showed up when expected, did the work expertly, and with no excuses! Even fixed a minor issue remaining from the last plumbing job. It's great to be able to call for near immediate service, but must comment....there is a cost premium for not having to wait.

Had a water filtration system supply line that burst and flooded the kitchen. Technician spent about 30 minutes ""assessing"" and was not sure how to reattach. Told me that the filter might be busted and he could replace. After considerable time figuring the damage and service, he informed me that he could install a new RO (reverse osmosis) system with five year warranty, blah, blah, for... drum roll $3900! When I asked him what it would take to repair just the leak, he took about another 15 minutes to figure it out and then said $600! There's a whole lot more to this story, but I advise you to call an independent, master plumber to get what you need done, not this BS run around and sales pitch!

One of three bids. Salesman friendly, Tries to upsell other services. Called on private number no name or call back number given. The bid was higher than LENNOX best 25 SEER unit.

I called because of a leak in our utility room. I was told it was a clogged drain in the shower. The tech cleaned the drain and the problem seemed to be fixed but when we came back to our lake house a couple of weeks later we discovered the water was coming from the AC drain hose. We had to have another service call from another service to find that problem and then an AC company. We were charged $250 for the call from Honest Abe's and then really didn't fix the problem.

Far From Honest! Called Honest Abe's to come check a new central A/C install because installer was too busy to get right back out; without pressure testing or even fully inspecting the service guy said he needed to replace the coil (the unit); it is a brand new install; got installer on the phone during Abe service guys visit and he told us to send the guy away; he was trying to scam us and the installer agreed to come back out pressure test line and solder leak in copper line.

Wow. So I called Honest Abe's when I was looking for someone to install a water filtering system in my sink. I was tired of doing installations myself and had a budget in mind that I was willing to pay someone else to do something.

The office staff was nice but wouldn't give me a quotes unless someone came out. I agreed and a plumber came over the next day. I showed him the filtration system I bought on Amazon for $200 and where to install. A few minutes later he tells me just over $400 to install. I was flabbergasted as I knew it would take less than an hour to install.

He was shocked that I argued at the cost and asked how much I expected to pay, when I said less than $150 he stated that no one would do it for that much! I told him I was not going to pay $400 and he left. Thankfully the quote was free!

I then called a licensed handyman and he installed it for $40!!!

Save your money and don't call this place!
