Purchased a new furnace and ac unit in 2022 From Honeat Abes.
Compressor in ac condenser went out 13 months after operation 2023. Right after warranty expired. Took over a week to teplace. Very miserable.
After another 13 months of operation the replaced compressor went out 2024. Right after warranty expires. So far three days waiting to replace. Both compressors went out during the Hottest time of summer.
I would definitely look at a different company than Honest Abes who
sells Goodwin units.
Carrier or Lennox brands will be my next choice.

On 10/17/2023 I called Honest Abe's to come take a look at my furnace as it was blowing air but not hot air. I was assigned an HVAC technician Tim Woody. Mr Woody was friendly once he greeted me and went to take a look at my furnace. Mr. Woody quickly came to the realization that my furnace and condenser should be replaced because they were 15 years old and just couldn't be fixed. I knew this was a red flag because there was nothing wrong with my condenser. Mr. Woody proceeded to give me 4 different payment options the highest totalling up to $15,877 and the lowest around $12,000. Mr. Woody asked which one I'd like to go with and I told him I'd be getting 2 more bids. His entire demeanor then changed. He used my children against me saying what are you going to do with the cold weather coming and the kids being in the house? He clearly was not happy that I wouldn't agree to an absurd contract right on the spot. Needless to say an hour later I had another HVAC company come and they fixed the issue quickly and for only a $90 service call. Mr Woody is a crook and tried pulling on my strings to sign an atrocious contract to replace something not needing replaced so he could benefit on a bonus in his pocket. HIGHLY AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST. They practically scammed me out of a $100 service call and attempted to scam me for over $12,000 at the least!

The most ridiculous service industry at the lake. I wanted 3 attic fans replace. I had all the hardware. Their bid was 4000.00!!! I found a real honest electrician who did it for 500.00. It took him 3 hours. Not so honest Abe is a no.

Mike and Tim installed a new HVAC System in our home. They conducted themselves in a very professional manner. They also completed the job much faster than expected. They did a great job. I would recommend this company to our friends.

Honest Abe's is not so honest and took advantage of the elderly. My elderly mom had already paid to have her furnace, A/C unit, hot water heater, and water softener replaced when Honest Abe's convinced her to sight up for their ""Gold Service"" package. After charging her $4,000 for the ""Gold Service"" package, my mother passed away a few months later. I sold her house immediately and called Honest Abe's for a refund. I was told they don't issue refunds but the service package would transfer to the new owners. What??? So Honest Abe's got to pocket $4,000 without doing any work, nice!!!

I call Honest Abe's late in the afternoon to get a quote for work at my home. Tim came out that same afternoon. He listened to what I needed done and recommended some items I hadn't even considered. They came out the next day, based on my schedule. All of the work was done professionally and to my complete satisfaction. Will definitely call again when in need.

Good work and on time. We needed a plumber to install a water softener, change out the main water entrance, and rough in for new kitchen. Timing was critical. Anthony showed up when expected, did the work expertly, and with no excuses! Even fixed a minor issue remaining from the last plumbing job. It's great to be able to call for near immediate service, but must comment....there is a cost premium for not having to wait.

Had a water filtration system supply line that burst and flooded the kitchen. Technician spent about 30 minutes ""assessing"" and was not sure how to reattach. Told me that the filter might be busted and he could replace. After considerable time figuring the damage and service, he informed me that he could install a new RO (reverse osmosis) system with five year warranty, blah, blah, for... drum roll $3900! When I asked him what it would take to repair just the leak, he took about another 15 minutes to figure it out and then said $600! There's a whole lot more to this story, but I advise you to call an independent, master plumber to get what you need done, not this BS run around and sales pitch!
