Jacob M.Outdoor piping started a leak near the well. Called Homeserve at 8:00AM. At 11:00AM, a plumber came with a backhoe. The piping was repaired in 2 hours. They did a quality job. The plumber also used quality materials for the repair job. They backfilled the soil and seeded the affected area. Very satisfied that piping was fixed the same day.
I called HomeServe for an estimate for installing a new central ac and gas furnace. The salesman who came to my house had an attitude, was rude, very dominating and unwilling to answer my questions. He also told me that HomeServe will not take away the old ac and furnace. The estimate I received from him was inflated (probably added his commission) and unsatisfactory. I will never hire this compoany.
Absolute scam! Check your contract. I bet it says they have 30 days to fix your issue. Well guess what! They're going to use the full thirty days. Don't give them the benefit of the doubt like I did. They won't be there when your water main breaks. I had to flush my toilet using jugs of water!
terrible company to deal with.Had a contract in place and when told them I had no hot water they said I did'nt have contract.Use someone else.Christine supervisor from appliances was so not helpful.We have multiple policies and this is how you treat customers.
This is the 4th time I had to deal with this company and they ABSOLUTELY DO NOT ""call"" when they are 20 minutes out. They send an ""automatic"" message that doesn't leave any message. First 3 times I asked them why .... I had an ""attitude from the techs. Last tech that showed had nothing nice to day and was too busy looking around my basement rather than working on my system. I have hung on for 3 years at 2 properties......WASTE of money. DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!!!! Other reviews for this company show SCAM also. BTW.... they over charge you. What they have for ""NEW"" people is almost triple what I pay. SHOP AROUND PEOPLE
HomeServe is a complete scam. If you are considering buying a home warranty, save your time and money. We had an emergency malfunction with our septic line and HomeServe did nothing but deflect and give us the run-around. This company is a nightmare to work with - it's like that by design, so they never have to actually cover an emergency. I can't post a real review anywhere; negative reviews are filtered and deleted. Beware!
If i could give them 0 stars i would. This company is so heartless and inhuman, they have absolutely no compassion. My boiler stopped working in 25 degree weather, i called homeserve to have someone come fix it on the same day, they wouldnt give me an appointment until the following day, after making a fuss they agreed to send someone to fix it on the same day. I was 15 mins away from home when they called and the technician refused to wait. After calling the company again the representative was very cold hearted and dismissive. The supervisor took 4 hours to call back, and with a very nonchalant ""i dont care"" attitude basically said there was nothing she could do. I am very disappointed at how inhumane these people are to leave someone in a freezing house at 25 degrees outside and refusing to wait 15 minutes when i was suppose to get a call that they were on the way. Homeserve claims to have ""emergency"" repair service which is a lie! All they care about is getting your money and not providing the service on their website. I would rather pay more for another company that's compassionate than be left out in the cold by homeserve!. HORRIBLE COMPANY
I have an old house with clay sewer pipes and a lot of trees, regularly clogging the line. ""Rooter' companies would generally take an hour to drill a small hole through the tangles.
I did the HomeServe contract as an experiment. After a couple of years, the toilet started to produce the signs of blocked sewer line (bubbles). Home Serve dispatched the techs. It took them 2 days (!) of work to clear the line, all the way up to the city main. I could not be more pleased.
If I could give zero stars, I would! 2 weeks ago my heat wasn't working. We called homeserve, tech came out on Saturday, diagnosed the damper as the problem. Did some adjustment, said it may act up again, if it does call us. Overnight, no heat. Homeserve called and technician came out on Sunday. Told us we needed a new damper and we could not use the boiler. He stated that the part would need to be ordered. He turned off the boiler. Monday my husband called to see if part was in, customer service said it was ordered, they would call when it came in. no call on Monday. Tuesday, my husband called again, customer service said they were going to look into it and call right back. No return phone call. Thursday we had to call our plumber, he said it wasn't the damper, it was a switch towards the back of the boiler that was tripped. He found out that there was a lose wire and fixed the problem. To this date we haven't heard from Homeserve to see if the part has come in. If we didn't call our plumber, we would still be without heat. Incompetent company, horrible customer service, they DO NOT follow through for their customers!!!
Sonja R.I have a service contract that covers hot water heaters. I haven't had hot water in 6 weeks and I'm considering filling a lawsuit. 10/11 home serv finally sent a contractor out to my residence. The plumber installed a faulty hot water heater. I called back the very next day and everyday after and know one has been out. Every week they promise to send someone out. The water heater worked for less than 4 hours. I have literally had NO hot water in 6 weeks.
