Dan came over at the spur of the moment when our guest toilet wouldn't work and my in laws here. Fixed it without any problems! Well worth it--called him at 6:17pm and he came at 7:15, gone at 7:45pm.

Dan did a superb job installing a gas line as well as the gas logs to my fire place. Dan was prompt in returning my initial call and showed up on time to give me a bid. His price was reasonable compared to other bids and the reviews on Yelp helped me decided to hire Dan instead of the other two contractors. Dan was flexible in changing our installation date when the gas logs was delayed in shipping. It was easy to communicate with him with his answering services since he always call back the same day within a few hours. Despite some problems he encountered in putting the gas line into the back of the fire place, Dan finished the job with excellent workmanship and without creating a mess. I will call Dan for all my future plumbing needs. I also highly recommend Dan to anyone who is looking for someone who is reliable and reasonable.

Home Plumbing repaired our fireplace for which other contractors had told us to replace the entire fireplace which would have cost us thousands. This whole work was handled by my tenant and I got to inspect the work afterwards. I understand that Dan from Home Plumbing, managed the entire process. His charges were reasonable and workmanship par excellence. Home Plumbing really knows about fireplaces which can get complicated with different models etc. Highly recommend

Outstanding in every way. Dan called in advance of both appointments to give me an accurate time of arrival. Dan was always prompt and reliable and his price was very reasonable.

After dealing with a nightmare from a local fireplace vendor, Dan's outstanding service and professionalism was a breath of fresh air. My repair was very complicated and Dan was one of the few people in the Bay Area capable of pulling it off.

I cannot more highly recommend anyone.

Dan was friendly and took care of my fireplace quickly. It looks as good as new and his price was beyond fair.

In regards to the 1 star comment, the reason she only paid $150.00 is because Dan left all of his parts there that night to finish the job the next morning, so the guy finishing her job used the parts that were left and didn't charge her what it would have actually cost. There are two sides to every story. Dan's a good guy and came highly recommended to me and I can see why.

You can't please everyone and some people are high maintenance and think the world revolves around them.

Dan replaced a defective faucet and sprayer in my kitchen sink. He has a pleasant personality and was easy to work with. I found him to be very knowledgable and made helpful suggestions. He was diligent in staying in contact and keeping me informed from my first contact to my last. Dan took great pains to make sure that I was completely satisfied with his work before he finished. I will definitely use him in the future and would recommend him to others without reservation.

I went by the yelp reviews to repair my fireplace.

I would not recommend this repair service. Dan was scheduled to come to my home between 4 and 6 PM. I receive no phone call by 7PM to let me know what time he will arrive-- I had to call to find out what was happening. Dan eventually shows up at 8:30 PM for a 4 to 6 PM repair. He takes 1 1/2 hours to ""repair"" my fireplace. After he gets done with it, my fireplace would not even ignite any longer. Then he tells me a gas valve needs to be replaced and that this part would cost me over $260, and that the repair will cost over $800. So he tells me he will order the part and that he needs to schedule another appointment, and that I would be the first appointment of the day at 8:30 AM. At 8:30, again no phone call, nothing, I have to call him and he tells me he will be there at 9:00. At 9:10-- still no phone call from him letting me know he will be late-- I call him again, and he tells me he will come at 9:30. By now I am fed up and tell him I do not want him coming back to repair my fireplace anytime ever and that he has no consideration of other people's time or schedule.

I eventually contact another fireplace repair service, and I am able to get my fireplace repaired for $150 where Home Plumbing was going to charge me over $800.

I do not recommend Home Plumbing to anyone.

Dan was friendly and demonstrated excellent communication. He came in, diagnosed the problem with my fireplace, and fixed it extremely quickly. Furthermore, I had read numerous horror stories on the internet regarding fireplace repair and astronomical prices. Well, Dan was reasonable and did not attemt attempt to exploit my ignorance.

I cannot recommend him highly enough. I wish more businesses operated with such integrity.

After only three years in a new house, our fireplace suddenly stopped working. We did lots of Internet research for a repair person and decided to contact Dan. He returned our call right away, and in addition to fixing the fireplace, he replaced a valve under our stove. He is very knowledgeable, and honest. We might be seeing him again, because now we have a leaking toilet. It's always something :) We're glad we found Dan.
