Recommended Customer Reviews
I had my A/C installed with MM Comfort Systems. Drew and Lamont were the installers and were excellent. They were great at communicating throughout the process, knowledgeable, and even stayed late to ensure the majority of the installation was complete. I am very pleased with the work that they did.
Anand B.MM Comfort Systems (MMCS) is who I was referred to by COSTCO for my AC install. We are a big COSTCO fan and rarely have had issues with anything that we get from COSTCO. This is one of those exceptions, not too bad but not great either.
Tristan from MMCS promptly came after scheduling the visit from COSTCO, performed a survey and presented with three options for installing AC. We asked for a two stage AC and were told that the model on Lennox Elite series was on short supply potentially due to pandemic and not readily available. We waited a few months and reached out to MMCS again and they informed us that 2 Stage AC has been discontinued. So we selected one of the single stage AC units and scheduled the install.
The quoted price included adding electrical circuit and 100+ft of electrical run for the outside unit. Which we were told was significant amount of work (and cost) as it involved running power from one corner of the house to the other where the exterior unit was supposed to be placed.
[OK] Our install was scheduled for a Monday - Tuesday, and it actually started on Friday. Electrical drop was left fo last so it got pushed to following Monday as it was getting late.
[Good] Mikel & Ina who performed the install were great. Explained everything in detail. Actually the entire install team was really nice to work with.
[Not Great] On the following Monday the electrical team arrived for the work and they informed me that we already have an electrical circuit from an old furnace and they don't have to run the 100+ ft cable nor they need to add a circuit. So we ended up using existing electrical drop. The guys told us that in order to get the credit for this component we should get in touch with MMCS.
[??] The following day inspectors from city came to check the install. We failed the initial inspection because a lot of water was found leaking from the unit. Following day MMCS guys came did some caulking amongst other things but were not able to definitively find the fault. Inspectors came again the following day and passed the install. I hope we don't get the leak again once summer really arrives in Seattle.
This was all about a month back... Since then
[BAD] I have been trying to reach MMCS to see if there would be any credits for what we were told was an expensive component of the install (running electrical drop over 100+ ft). After a lot of messages and mails I was able to get a call back and was told that I would get $375 back out of $10.5K of the install. Which I though was too little but still agreed to..
That's again more than 2-3 weeks back. I am not even getting replies for my messages.
I'll conclude by saying that initial service seems good, after service I hope is good but based on my experience I think it's going to be not so great of an experience. Will keep updating as I learn how the system performs over summer.
They are the partner for Costco. If you buy an HVAC system through Costco they will refer you to MM. At least they were the partner when I purchased my HVAC through them. The salesperson that came out tried hard to upsell me away from the Costco deal. I would be wary of them. The HVAC they installed makes a tremendous amount of a squeaking noise. They refused to resolve it. I recommend avoiding them.
Our installers Travin & Kaelen were very friendly and polite and considerate of the home environment. They did a clean work and we really appreciate their efforts. They answered to all the questions and gave wonderful suggestions that were very useful for the whole installation procedure. They did a great job! Cleaned & vacuumed all the surfaces of the home that they worked through. They walked us through the entire thing & and answered to all our questions once everything was set up. Very efficient and helpful. Overall the experience was excellent and would definitely recommend Travin & Kaelen working for MM comfort systerm.
Yuting F.I had Bob come for an estimate of central AC installation two weeks ago. He is knowledgeable about the whole system and earned our trust! Price is reasonable as well.
After I got our HOA approval for the AC, Jenah was able to schedule our installation in the same week that served best for our time. Tyler and Ryan came on time, and started the work early in the morning. They were sophisticated and friendly, and did the work neat and fast - in less than a day! Went through all the details about troubleshooting with us post the installation.
I rarely write feedbacks on Yelp or any online review website. But MM does worth my time complimenting on it!
Loren E.My quote was with Tristan. He answered all my questions and guided me to the best option for my family. Matt & Randy did my install. They were great. My Lennox condenser in the bottom of my furnace broke during the pressure test and let refrigerant throughout my house which was unfortunate, but nothing installers could have changed. They had to come back 2 days later, replaced the condenser, cleared the line and installed new refrigerant. All is working great after that. I'm happy with my choice with MM Comfort Systems.
We cannot say enough good things about MM Comfort Systems! We had a unique situation, and needed to have our furnace removed in order to access and repair a leak in our foundation. We had reached out to MM Comfort Systems to coordinate our furnace removal a few months in advance for that project. This made me nervous because the timing was not flexible, but MM was extremely communicative and arrived right on time the day that they were scheduled to come out.
We were also curious about adding an AC unit to the house at the same time of having our furnace work done, and asked to schedule a consult. Bob came out to give us a quote and he was thorough, friendly, and did not pressure us at all. Well, he quoted us such a fantastic price, we decided to have an AC unit installed as well. When the day came to remove our furnace and install our AC, Joe and Dan could have not been friendlier, more courteous, or more professional. We were even offered a space heater because we would have to spend the weekend in our house without heat! Everything about our new AC unit was explained, and our furnace was efficiently removed and reinstalled good as new. On the office end, Hannah and Jenah were very friendly and knowledgable and made the permit process go very smoothly as well. We would not hesitate to recommend this company to our family and friends. Thank you for a wonderful experience MM Comfort Systems!
We had MM Comfort Systems replace our 20+ year old gas furnace with a Carrier Performance 96% AFUE gas furnace.
After getting quotes from 4 other HVAC vendors, we opted to go with MM Comfort Systems -- their prices were reasonable, they had good reviews and their work included a 5-year ""peace of mind"" guarantee.
Tristan, who came to do the estimate, was friendly, knowledgeable, patient and the very professional, and Zack who was part of the 2-person installation team, was the same (our furnace was installed in 5-6 hours, and we appreciated the fact that the guys cleaned up afterwards). I accidentally turned off the furnace after the installers left and 1-2 hours later, we had no heat and the thermostat was dark. I called MM and within 30 mins, Zack called back to help troubleshoot remotely (and was good natured about my faux pas). That's the Good.
The Bad:
1. The other installer, who was also friendly, didn't wear his mask all the time, and when he did, often had his mask below his nose.
2. On Saturday, 4 days post-installation, I opened the closet to check on the furnace and found water on the floor. I called MM's main line, left a voice mail; also called the CEO's direct # but his mailbox was full. Couldn't find a 24/7 phone # to call even though their web site refers to one. On Sunday, after replacing 4 towels that we'd placed on the closet floor to absorb the leaks, I emailed MM to ask them to send someone out ASAP.
UPDATE
MM Comfort Systems called me first thing on Monday and had someone out to fix the leak within hours. I've updated my rating accordingly.
I would not recommend MM Comforts to my friend or anyone I know.
I hired them to install heat pump for our house and it worked well.
After one year, I suddenly noticed that the wrapper of the pipes that go from outside the house to the indoor unit dropped, and exposing the water pipes and the electrical wires opening to the air. I called the MM comforts customer service, and I was told that since it's been after one year, and my warranty expired, I need to pay for their technicians to take a trip here to put it back. Otherwise, I would need to put it back myself.
I thought this would be simple to do and I climbed up the house and tried to put it back. The disappointing and angry moment started from here. I found that they had done a few things to save their work but left potential danger to the house. First, since the gutter lines are attached to the wall and are blocking the path for the outdoor pipes traveling, they simply unscrewed the gutter lines and left them hang there and they would just swing when there is even breeze(wind). 2. There was only a tiny portion of the wrapper was covered by the snapper, making it pretty easy to slip out loosen and eventually dropped, that's why it happened.
All these indicate that they are just trying to finish their work, they don't care about the quality, neither customer experience. Since the part they worked on is above the house where it's hard to reach, they simply made it work without following the best practice. They didn't think of any potential damage/ maintenance work might left to the customer to deal with.
How can you trust such contractors who don't care if their work will leave you any danger or maintenance work to do?
My heating system needed a repair. MM was able to send a technician the same morning I called them. The technician sent me an email to inform me that he was on his way to my house. When he arrived, the technician quickly made a diagnosis and ordered the part needed for the repair using a mobile device. MM called me the next day and told me the part can be installed the following day. The technician arrived in the morning during the scheduled hours and installed the new part without any problems.
Overall, MM was very responsive, professional, efficient, and easy to work with. They fixed my heating system in 3 days. I got heat back before the big snow storms hit the Seattle area. I am very appreciative of the service they provided.
