I called yesterday around 3:18pm, the lady was nice and all, she was having trouble with the schedule so I told her to take her time and text me to let me know how soon and what time they could come. She told me she would get back to me at 4pm the latest. Never heard back, so I called someone else. This morning another lady called she was sounding nice and apologetic and some how I was either put on hold or lines were crossed (she didn't even bother ending the call with me) but she started talking to one of the employees (some thing about a Tahoe company making sure of their business schedule ) but she mentioned me first and she referred to me as confused or something like that because I gave her my name maiden name first and then I remember I gave yesterday the lady my married name but the cell phone I called her is under my husband's name so now I am confused. I'm sorry but not sorry, she woke me up and I took her phone call, and prior to hearing the way she was referring of me, I told her that I would definitely consider them for next time. Now I am not so sure. I also didn't appreciate that she didn't even bother to make sure I was off the phone nor she had ended the call. I got disappointed and just hung up the phone.

I have extensive experience with construction, and I cannot emphasize enough how wonderful my experience was with Hoffman Plumbing. We had a complicated job, but the employees were all conscientious, competent, friendly, and focused. They were proactive in solving problems and always had a solution for me when an issue arose. Ray is detail-oriented, organized, and knowledgeable, and he always found a solution to any problem. Justin and Justice were always available to complete a last-minute fix. Cesar is extremely talented in construction knowledge, and he got the job done! Paul and Annie were always ready to schedule a last-minute issue and help with planning. When the job was finished, they left the site spotless. I highly recommend Hoffman for both small and large jobs.

Seriously the best plumbing company in RENO TAHOE AREA!! Usually I am leaving bad reviews, but this company deserves to be highlighted as they are seriously the best and most honest company I have ever dealt with!!!Straight up and down to biz! Other companies said it would be astronomical prices, have to do this add that, block off highway lanes, heavy equipment to dig, etc...but Hoffman Plumbing sent Darian out, he scoped the drain, found the issue, marked it, quoted it way less than the price of the other guys and did it in less than a full day!! These guys do the job right, do the job quick, leave the job site clean, and don't give you a bunch of bull to inflate the prices. Honest hard working and real people!! Hire them with confidence!!!

They charged double what was quoted. The technician was fine but they totally lure in jobs and then increase the price. Get a guarantee on price Before having work done.

I give one star for following up to tell me that they just couldn't help me. Then I was told two days after my initial call that they could help me if ""I would consider it an emergency so they could charge me more money and put me ahead of others."" The young receptionist that was speaking to me seemed to giggle and laugh as if it were embarrassing that she couldn't get me on the schedule sooner because they were just too busy. When a possible new customer is calling you with a leaking water heater and you're giggling because you can't get them help but suggest they declare it an emergency it's not a good business practice. York plumbing, a small family owned business with three plumbers were able to address my problem the same day they didn't have to be told it was an emergency when I said it was leaking they knew it was an emergency and they ordered a new water and it was scheduled to be installed three days later. York sent a plumber to my home the 1st day and immediately assessed my issue and ordered a replacement water heater based on the photographs I sent of the old one. I sent those same photographs to the Hoffman rep after the fact but they asked me to send them pictures and I told her I already did. Hoffman has a great reputation. I can see that but when someone calls with an issue like this, there needs to be a greater sense of urgency without the we can do it now, but it'll cost you more.

We're quick to come over, but prices were too high. I did majority of the hard work digging up the leak, before they arrived and still charged $600+ for an hour of work.

We needed work done on our inground sprinkler system. Replacing two sections of water lines. They were excellent in calling back to discuss problem. But that is where the problem was. They wanted to charge 2 hours of driving before even starting the project. I understand that but what if they have three or four jobs that day in our area. Then that is my complaint. Getting 6 to eight hours of billing for two hours of driving from Reno. When your hourerly wage is well over $100 dollors that adds up to alot.Two much money for two little work.

We had a new floor installed last week and the installers reset our master bath toilet and it kept leaking so I told them I would call a plumber. I went onto yelp and saw the reviews for Hoffman Plumbing. I sent a text on yelp.... Got an immediate response. Annie then called me from Hoffman and said they could get out within 3 hours. Raymond and his apprentice Justice arrived and fixed the toilet within 30 minutes. They were professional, pleasant and Raymond and I discovered we grew up in the same area of Southern California....we had a great conversation and I made two new friends and met my future 'go to' plumber. I recommend them with five stars!!!

Our upstairs tub hadn't been draining, and it was due to a malfunctioning stopper. I called in the evening the day before to schedule an appointment and the employee who I spoke to was very helpful. I accidentally called the wrong location, so they gave me the right information and I got everything set up. Our plumber Jake explained thoroughly everything that was going on and all the options we had going foreword. He didn't push doing expensive work right away and reassured that even if we don't replace the issue we will still have working plumbing. We will eventually move forward with the repairs recommended, and even will use these guys for other repairs and upgrades we want to make.

tldr; didn't feel like they were cash grabbing by pushing expensive work, got the job done fast, friendly attitudes from all, good work, and straightforward and transparent pricing. 10/10
