I contacted HOCOA based on the feedback on Yelp. I needed some plumbing help. In the past, I've done most of my own plumbing work whenever I needed to run new lines or repair leaks, etc. Not just because I'm cheap (I am), but because I've got the tools and the know-how. But as I've gotten older, my tolerance for working on my back in dark areas where my weakening eyesight gets in the way has diminished considerably.

All I needed was a garbage disposal installation. My thought as I called was, ""This ain't gonna be very high on a plumber's daily worklist. I'll be lucky to have anyone even return my call.""

I got a call back within the hour and they got the information. The plumber called me shortly and we set up an appointment for the next day. The work was fast (why shouldn't it be?) and excellent, and the price was right (less than half what the big guys would charge). I am very happy with the outcome, and with the whole experience.

Even though my need was a small one, I feel I got the attention any customer deserves. I will not hesitate to contact HOCOA first when I need work done in the future.

I am super happy with these guys! I needed my kitchen remodeled and wow. I got the cabinets, flooring, countertops at wholesale pricing! and they gave me 3 contractors to bid on the project! Oh yea it was painless too! I talk with their folks on the phone and they followed up with me to make sure there people gave me quotes and showed up. My garage door broke and my water heater broke within a short time of each other . At first I panicked , then I called Hocoa! They were kind, helpful, and sent someone over right away! They didn't just send anyone ..... They sent over very qualified, respectful, trustworthy people that I felt safe letting into my home to do the repairs, then after it was all done, Hocoa called to follow up to find out how my experience was and if they could do anything else to help . I highly recommend them!!

Even though we got off to a bit of a rocky start (the very first contractor assigned to me was a no-show and only contacted me 15 minutes after he was to arrive) - the subsequent referrals of Invictus Veritas construction and Viking Electric were excellent - they both provided good service and worked with me to get the jobs done on time. It is really nice to know I have a place to turn when I need to find a contractor I haven't worked with before - without spending a lot of frustrating time and energy trying to ""interview"" a bunch of potential companies. That's the value of HOCOA!

Some may have had good experiences, but both of the plumbers they put me in contact with did not follow through with getting my job under way and failed to follow up on promised contacts. The HOCOA rep I spoke with was nice enough, but I won't be using this service OR recommending it to anyone.

I called and spoke to woman that stated it was a paid referral service but she would give me a free year of the service. She stated that the handymen were screened and that one would call me and she would follow up to see how it went. Well she never followed up and I never received a call from one. I am HUGE on first impressions and I would use them again.

Where should I start? Let's just say for many years now my family had been members of Sam for 5 years. Why? He also has an amazing carpet & tile cleaning crew. $2.00 a SF to clean and seal my ceramic tile and grout! Yay! They took their time and really payed attention to detail!
