My water heater wasn't working so I called up H.N. Harris. Jamie at the office was courteous and prompt to set up the details, as well as suggesting how to check the pilot light on my own and possibly eliminate the need for anyone to come out. Pilot light was lit but wasn't catching, so we promptly set up an appointment. An additional bonus is that they are licensed to fix Bradford White water heaters under warranty, so I'd only be charged for labor, not parts.

Ozzie came out on a Saturday right on time, was polite and used shoe covers and quickly diagnosed two possible problems, explaining what he was going to attempt first and then second if the first issue (thermocouple) didn't work. He also ran both prices by me to make sure I knew what would be coming in terms of cost.

The only downside was the wait for the various parts, but this is a problem with any plumbing company - they can diagnose what part they'll need only after seeing the water heater, then both parties have to wait until the part is sent out if it's not readily available.

Unfortunately the first attempt didn't work, so the 2nd part (gas control valve) had to be ordered - happily, the second attempt was a success. Ozzie was always on time, courteous, very communicative and worked quickly/efficiently. He let me watch the process and answered my questions for future reference.

I'm naturally suspicious of people working on things I don't understand well (cars, A/C, plumbing, etc.), so it was a real treat to feel like I was dealing with a competent honest company. Definitely going to recommend them to my neighbors (whose water heaters are also starting to go!)...

I had such a good experience with H.N. Harris Plumbing that I started looking for more leaks and clogs in my home so I could give them more of my business.

Service was prompt, clean and efficient! Our plumber even stayed longer to give me some advice on how to buy and install a new garbage disposal in the kitchen. Totally unnecessary, free, and appreciated! He even lent an ear when I complained that my landlord's plumber never fixed the problem (shower clog) and suggested some home remedies I could try if it ever got backed up again. Obviously, I will be recommending this service to all my LA friends, family and colleagues.

These guys are great! Can't say enough good things about them. I found them based on their Yelp rating and all of the comments are true. They installed two toilets and did a magnificent job! I had to have them come back out and re-adjust the setting on one of the toilets -- Ozzie came back and was very responsive and courteous. He fixed the problem and even did some extra work that I didn't ask for but he recommended -- and they didn't charge me! Great service!

Well, H.N. Harris is bringing me out of my Yelping-hiatus. So, we have an old house and the drain in the tub always ran a bit slow. This week the tub finally gave up on life and decided to stop draining. Tired of the nasty bathwater, I scheduled an appointment with H.N. Harris. I called on Thursday afternoon and they were able to schedule an appointment for the next afternoon.

The technician arrived within the two-hour window they gave me. He also used shoe covers (without me asking!) upon walking in the house, which is a huge plus for me since I'm a clean freak. My technician was Osvaldo. He was super courteous. I showed him my tub, he gave me a reasonable quote, and then got to work right away. He also entertained all my silly questions while he was working since I don't know crap about plumbing. He was able to dislodge whatever hair monster that was living in the pipes. Even better, he cleaned up all the black gunk that came flying out of the drain while the snake was doing it's job. And I don't mean wipe down with a napkin, he came prepared with shop towels and some Clorox wipes and wiped down my ENTIRE bathtub and the floor area where he had set up shop. Seriously, he went above and beyond what I would have expected. He carefully went over the charges afterwards before he had me sign an invoice. All-in-all great service for a reasonable price.

I'll definitely be calling again when I have my next plumbing emergency. Which will probably be sometime soon...

My house was fumigated and when the gas company came back out to turn on my gas, they thought there might be a gas leak and would not turn the gas back on. So I needed a plumber right away. I was a little wary of all the 5 star reviews that HN Harris had - I tend to find that suspicious - but from my initial phone call I understood that the 5 stars were warranted. Indeed, I called several plumbers prior to calling HN Harris who were vague about telling me what would need to be done but were clear about the fact that it would be costly. When I called HN Harris, I explained my situation and the plumber (I forgot his name but he is the owner's son) got on the phone with me and explained exactly what he would need to do, what the results might be, what the cost would be, and why the cost was justified.

Truth be told, HN Harris was not the cheapest quote I got, but I found the plumber to be so trustworthy and reliable and felt that I would not be taken advantage of, so I hired them. They were at my house for the better part of the day, fixed the problem, were honest about what ""needed"" to be fixed and what didn't, and also unclogged a very clogged bathroom sink while they were at it and charged far less for that than any other plumbing service that I've used. I would not hesitate to hire them again and am grateful for finding such a reliable plumber in close proximity to my house. I recommend without hesitation.

I got a referral from a co-worker and called HN Harris for a service appt. Ossie arrived well within the designated time. He covered his shoes in my house, was courteous, worked quickly and got the job done right when i needed a cartridge replaced for hot water in my bathtub. The cost was reasonable and I would call HN Harris again for any future plumbing needs.

My water heater started leaking the other day & started to form a pool in my garage. I found HN Harris on Yelp & called them after reading the awesome reviews. Yelpers were not wrong! Ozzy came out the next morning & repaired the water line leading into the tank. Problem fixed. He told me that there was nothing wrong with the water heater itself, and even though it was getting old, it was still in adequate shape.
What truly impressed me about Ozzy was that with a couple of other over-the-phone estimates I got, I was told that since the water heater was older than the normal life expectancy, I would have to go ahead and get it replaced. We're talking over $1000 to start. Ozzy was not only skilled, he was HONEST. He so easily could have told me that the water heater needed to be replaced, and I would have done it. Especially since the area where it appeared to be leaking from looked rusty. Instead, the job cost less than $90. I really appreciate Ozzy's knowledge, skill, and most of all, integrity. 100% RECOMMEND! Based on the other reviews I called H.N and they came out yesterday morning and on time. In fact, someone from the office called me and gave me a 20 minutes heads up that they were on the way. They took care of my problem quickly, did not leave a mess and charged a fair amount.
