good service but, but charged $476.70 for a. $20.00 capacitor for fan motor. called for supervisor to call but never got a call back.

NEGATIVE STARS
1. The Daikon' ductless mini-split' unit, sold to me by Brian Enders and installed by H.L. Bowman Incorporated, unleashed a deluge that not only saturated the hardwood floor in my dining room but also flowed onto bookshelves and drawers in the room below, drenching 25 family photo albums. 2. The water pooled atop and between each section of my quarter-sawn oak Stickley barrister bookcase. 3. The water seeped inside each section of the bookcase. 4. The water ran onto particularly important and expensive books, framed photographs, as well as four small wooden boxes containing four of my dog's cremains. 5. In past years, water from a second-floor unit emitted sufficient water to cause a 12' by 5' section of the upstairs floor to crash through to the main floor. All furniture and items in that 12' by 5' section were so water-damaged that they had to be discarded. Water ran behind the plaster and into the wiring contained within the plaster walls. I had to make an insurance claim to have that water damage repaired. 6. In past years, water from a basement unit emitted sufficient water to cause an entire wall of built-in cabinetry to be destroyed and have to be replaced. I had to make an insurance claim to have that water damage repaired. 7. In past years, four of the six ""ductless mini-split"" units have simply not worked. They do not cool. They do not heat. They hang on the wall and blink. 8. Throughout these years of destruction, distress, and financial duress caused by the six 'ductless mini-splits,' Brian Enders has consistently refused to rectify the problem. 9. The FIRST REASON Brian Enders uses to refuse to rectify the problem: When the ceiling caved in from the upstairs unit and the cabinetry was ruined by the downstairs unit, Brian Enders offered substandard assistance. He sent a contractor to my home to spackle over water-damaged plaster, thus sealing water inside the walls. When I saw the inferior repairs Enders offered, I stated that I was going to call my lawyer. Enders said that because I had threatened legal action, his company would no longer serve me. 10. The SECOND REASON Brian Enders gives for refusing to rectify the problems: When the ceiling caved in from the upstairs unit and the cabinetry was ruined by the downstairs unit and Brian Enders offered substandard assistance, I wrote bad reviews of Brian Enders and his company ""all over the internet."" (Enders words.) Yes. I did, indeed, write bad reviews of Brian Enders and his company, H. L. Bowman, Incorporated, ""all over the internet"" and will continue to do so until Brian Enders and his company, H. L. Bowman, Incorporated, make the six Daikon ""mini-split"" units they installed in my home work properly. 11. Because Brian Enders and his company, refuse to help me, I have paid five other companies, & one private contractor, to come to my home to diagnose and repair the six Daikon ""ductless mini-split"" units. Each one has been unable to do so. Each one says that there is something so faulty about these units &/or the installation of these units that it is impossible to determine what is actually wrong with them. 12. On Saturday, June 22, 2024, I tried to set up a service call with H.L Bowman, Incorporated, using a form on their website. 13. On Saturday, June 22, 2024, I received a text from H.L. Bowman confirming an appointment for Monday, June 24, 2024, with a note relating that on the day of the service, I would receive a call 30 minutes before the technician arrived. 14. On Monday, June 24, 2024, I instead received a phone call from H.L. Bowman informing me that they are too busy serving their VIP customers to send a technician out to serve me.
Today is Tuesday, June 24, 2025. H.L. Bowman has still not rectified their financial and material injury to me.

I would give minus stars if I could. Going on 4thvisit to fix their horrible botched job!!!! I have lived here for 30+ years no issues. Until they were here!!!!! My next stop is BBB. To file a complaint.

Screwed us on a repair May 2024. Said they'd be back but never came back. Call anyone else.

I had an ac unit leaking on a neighbor below me and HL Bowman charged me $325 to snake a pipe to fix it. It had to be fixed right away as I did not want to cause damage to my neighbor. My plumber told me it should not have cost more than $125 to snake the pipe. I am pissed off at having to pay so much and will not use this company which took over my previous AC/Heating company without notice again. They also are from Pennsylvania.....what are they doing in Charlotte?

HL Bowman did a great job installing my furnace and AC system. I was so impressed that I referred them to 3 of my neighbors. They all went with Bowman.

Josh arrived to service our AC System prepping it for the spring and summer months...
He found a few age related issues and made recommendations for repair...
He took care of all issues in a timely manner... The service did not cost me an arm and a leg...
Most impressive...
HL Bowman has worked on our system in past and their efforts have kept our AC/Heating system going; thus avoiding any major problems...
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HL Bowman for AC/Heating Systems maintenance and/or repairs...

I don't know what is going on with this business.
I needed a gas fireplace cleaned and inspected. When I called, I was pretty sure I was talking to some AI bot, who said she could book as early as tomorrow.
Fast-forward two days, and I called to schedule after solidifying some details. The same bot tells me they don't service gasfireplaces.
I say, that's strange. I just talked to you two days ago, but there was apparently no record of my phone call.
I waited about two minutes, while researching online, where it definitely says they service gas fireplaces... I called back and now she wants to get my information to schedule.
Stuff like this is completely ridiculous and not at all customer friendly. I'm going with another company.

I called because we had a leak under our kitchen sink and mentioned that we had a questionable garbage disposal install the previous year that possibly could be the problem. It was explained that there would be a fee for an estimate, which would be deducted from the repair bill if they were given the repair job. They came back to repair it, uninstalled and reinstalled the disposal but didn't look any further for a cause for which they charged almost $500 and refused to deduct the estimate fee. A week later it was still leaking so I called them back explaining my dissatisfaction. I was assured the second repair call would be no charge. The same tech came back with better lighting and found that our faucet was leaking. He estimated an additional $600 to take out the old one and install a new one, and if I bought a faucet from them it would cost over $1200 total. They did refund me for the estimate charge, but in the end we never got anything for our money. We still have a leak. We are retired and my husband is physically unable to do the work, which is why they were called. I believe they grossly overcharge customers and try to hook them in to paying for service plans, offering to give them a discount on their bloated prices. Take my advice and don't call them unless you can afford to throw money away.

I had regular maintenance done on my furnace and the technician said there was a fracture in the heat exchanger. The technician only showed me a picture and did not have me look at the live view from his camera and/or show me other evidence to suggest a crack. HL Bowman said a replacement part would be over $4k vs getting a new furnace for $5k.
I decided to get second opinion/estimate and the technician had me stay with him the whole time during his inspection and there was no signs of a fracture on his camera and doing a combustion test.
HL Bowman lost a customer.
