Tony came by right on tIme and was super friendly and professional. He was the only plumber that actually did not attempt to rip me off. He went to Home Depot and stood in massively long line. Came back and finished the job promptly. Charged a very fair and reasonable price. I will definitely call Tony again for any future plumbing needs and highly recommend to everyone. Thanks Tony!
Susan F.If there were more stars, I would go higher! My water heater died last night. I called Hicks at 10:00 am today and they were available to come at 11:30. They were on time, extremely nice and very efficient. They confirmed I needed a new unit and had it here, pulled the old one, installed the new one, and cleaned up by 12:15! I couldn't have asked for better service. Highly recommend!
Christi B.Extremely expensive. You can get the same job done for a lot less. I had a faucet in my kitchen replaced and was also hoping to have the faucets in my bathtub repaired as well. Technician told my husband he just needed to contact Kohler, order parts and he could fix it himself. First off, he told my husband to order the wrong part. I thought a plumber was supposed to be a problem solver. He was not helpful and I feel like we were overcharged for the work that he did and the time he was at my house. I will never use Hicks Plumbing again. Look around for better prices and a plumber that's interested in helping solve your problem and follow through.
This is my first time experiencing a water line breakage out side my house that is underground. I received 3 estimates from different plumbers, hicks was the least expensive by 2 grand and yes they installed copper pipes. I have heard good news about hicks so I went with them, and what I heard is true, the job was scheduled for 1 day but there where multiple issue with removing the old plastic pipes and it rained. Hicks had to dig multiple holes and it required 2 days of work. Hicks team worked very hard and got the job done. They replaced the plastic pipe from under ground which was about 60 feet from the city meter to my house. Kevin, Tony and Marco got dirty with all that digging but took the time out to place shoe coverings to keep my house clean.
Even though events occurred outside of their control, they still honor the price they gave me.
I highly recommend using Hicks
I have used Hicks Plumbing and have had fantastic results. A broken pipe behind my kitchen caused a leak into my (finished) downstairs family room. Adam took the time to locate the source of the leak and repaired it in a timely manner. The cost of the repair was fair and I am very comfortable with the work that was performed. Adam was polite and professional. I appreciate him and would ask for him again (he's the one with the cool beard!)
Superb service! Adam was fantastic. I developed a water leak into my basement this weekend. It destroyed a fair amount of sheetrock. I ripped it out to find the spot the water was coming from the floor above. Called Hicks. Adam came out looked at the spot I found and then used his detective skills to isolate the real leak was coming from not that spot but in the walls in the kitchen about 4 feet to the left of the spot where you could see a leak. He fixed it promptly. Great courteous service willing to provide service the same day. Again great company and service.
I would recommend them in the highest terms possible.
Deb S.Hicks Plumbing Services are my new heroes! The Friday before the long Labor Day Weekend holiday, my shower faucet wouldn't shut off ... it had been a long-standing problem, that I kept waiting until I could ""afford"" to fix it; I could always ""jimmy"" it off, but, not this day. As I was on hold with a well-known 24/7 plumbing services for over 10 minutes, I kept googling plumbers, desperate to find someone who could help me. I stumbled across Hicks; they answered the phone (amazing these days!!!) at 10:30 am ... and by noon, had Adam (great guy!) out fixing the problem. It took him most of the day, but, the problem was fixed. These folks are the ultimate professionals, but, most of all really care about their customers. I can't recommend highly enough!
If you would like to wait HOURS on end just for a call just to see when someone will answer your call with a simple ETA of when your plumber will arrive to give an estimate, then this is the place to call!
Here's the scenario - my appt was scheduled between 3-5pm. This appt was made the night prior. For a broken water heater 30 or 40 gal tank.
At 4:30 PM I call to see the status, Kristine/wife/office lady states the plumber JUST got to a job and will text you with an update.... (mind you my appt was first (3-5pm) but 4:30 miraculously the plumber showed up there instead of mines bc my issue wasn't as ""important"".
At 6pm -no answer, numerous calls made. NO RESPONSE.
At 6:15 - she replies via text 'sorry cant talk right now'.... we asked for ETA no response....
At 6:45 - numerous calls again made, no answer UNTIL my husband uses a new work phone to call, this woman answers (probably thinking possibly new customer) says oh he's coming, he's coming I told your wife I will update her 30 min before his arrival. We again stated, keep us updated with an ETA - this is all we are asking for. We have been waiting for almost 4 hours at home at this point.
At 9 PM - 6 hours later - NO update. So we text, Kristine/wife/office lady states plumber is busy.... sewer back up... etc.
At 9:20 - she states: ""I have cancelled a couple of his appts tomorrow and can squeeze you in between 11/12 with a 50gal tank"" WHAT? you mean I'd have to take off work again to see if you will even show up or call? AND I simply stated I had a 30 or 40gal tank....
she replies ""But 50 gal is cheaper and your insurance plan only covers sooo much - Plumber will call you shortly"" - We get several missed calls between 9:50 - 10:20 PM. At this point, we are livid!
These texts went on until 11:30PM - and no, I am not kidding. I have texts for proof.
In all - Unprofessional, no acknowledgement what so ever. No apology was ever made until a complaint was put in through my insurance this morning. The main issue is accountability - you don't leave your customers waiting for an answer for 4-6 hours after your initial appointment - Just reschedule for a diff time/day!
Call someone else to avoid being put on the back end of the burner bc my issue wasn't 'big' enough or money making enough for them to send someone out to come and take a look.
My family and I have been out of hot water for 3 days now. I rather wait this out and find another plumber then to receive service from Hicks.
Elizabeth J.Adam came to our house only a couple of hours after I made the phone call about a potential leak, and he was absolutely amazing. He was attentive to our budget and tried everything to help us out. He is very good at problem solving, is knowledgeable of what he does and is confident in his work. I would completely recommend him for any plumbing job, big or small, that needs fixed. Hicks is an honest, upfront company with fantastic values of service and work ethic. Make a great choice and go with this company for any plumbing services.
Tony M.Hicks Plumbing came out the same day our water heater died. Their plumber was courteous and professional and did a fabulous job of installing a State Proline gas water heater in less than 3 hours. We couldn't have been happier! We subscribe to Dominion Power's plumbing and water heater warranty program. This is how we found Hicks, our new plumber.
