Being a women-owned company, affectionately called Your Plumber in a Skirt, Co-Owner Jathy enjoys bringing a unique perspective to a traditionally male-dominated industry. She and her husband launched the business in 2000 and has worked hard to grow it within the Palm Beach County community. Serving a loyal customer base of over 30,000, Jathy takes pride in giving back to local non-profit organizations, including the American Cancer Society, Kids Cancer Foundation, Making Strides, Little Smiles, GMO-Free Florida, and Your Bosom Buddies II.
So remember, don’t hesitate... contact Hi-Tech Plumbing & Air today! What I love most about my job is seeing the astonishment on people's faces, usually men, who believe 'a woman can't handle this,' and then I get to prove them wrong. In an industry mainly led by men, Co-Owner Jathy emphasizes that women can contribute positively with their blend of business insight and compassionate approach.
When discussing her role in field operations, Jathy responds, ""This industry is intriguing, and every day is unique in the trades, but I don’t consider myself a woman in a man's profession; I see myself as a collaborator in a business that needs capable and skilled individuals like myself.""

This is my first time writing a review, but each day I have come home after the service and look at the ugly job, I've been more pissed. It started with a high quote and then a quick confirmation before you have a chance to really digest what's going on. You ask for a statement of how much they charge per hour and the cost for parts. That's not given, but an I-pad to agree to the quote is shoved in your face. You are told they charge by flat rate, not by the hour, because they just know how much it costs by looking at the job. They then proceed to buy the cheapest part, and the rest of the exorbitant charge goes to labor. Using simple math you are being charged over $200/hr, but it's too late to back out. I haggled for a discount, which was given, but I think only because they knew I was being bent over. In fact, the tech left a dirty mess in the bathroom after he cut the tile to get to the pipes. He also left the door open to the bathroom while he was cutting the tile and the dust spread throughout my master bedroom and into both walk-in closets, which are filled with clothes. I guess the discount was for clean-up of the bathroom and me and my wife's clothes, but the cost of dry cleaning far out cost the meager discount. This was truly a bad experience. I'll never use them again. I should have known better than to get a number off a truck, but the cute kid got me. I work hard for my kids and thought the truck showed that there must be a kind person behind the company with a kind heart that loves his kid. Unfortunately, I'm just the sucker that got took. I guess he loves his kid enough to swindle everyone else to feed him. ....Sad...and shortsighted because I have a ton of friends I could have referred to this company.

Website boasts customer satisfaction guaranteed or they'll fix it for free. Hogwash! After spending $868 in 4/15 to replace a $190 hot water recirculating pump, the exact same problem recurred less than 12 months later. And I only live in Florida six months of the year! Called Hi Tech and they said they only guarantee their work for 100 days, which, they were quick to point out, is listed on the receipt. Ok, my bad, but really? What about that customer satisfaction guarantee on the website? Oh, the pump had to malfunction within the 100 day window? What about the warranty on the pump itself? There is none? You'll send someone out to look at the scorch marks on the wall where the pump is installed for a $39 service call? I'm not going to pay it, I told the woman on the phone, but she scheduled a call. The service tech (who handled himself very professionally) did a simple diagnostic test to see if it was an electrical problem, and his opinion was, the electric was fine, but, yup, that pump sure was fried! I went online and found out the pump was warranteed by the manufacturer. I made a huge fuss. Hi Tech told me they'd be happy not to charge me the $39 service call charge and would replace the pump for $480 after I purchased another pump for $190. They told me that trying to get the manufacturer to make good on the product was a lot of paperwork and the manufacturer usually refused to replace the product. Ah ha! So that's the business model Hi Tech uses! They should go into the medical insurance field. They've got the 'Just Say No' routine down pat. 100% customer satisfaction? I don't think so. Beware!

Great work and friendly customer service. I would definitely recommend. I had an AC unit installed, they arrived on time, very professional, and got the job done.

In July of 2017, I contacted Hi-Tech problem to remove a clog. The auger broke in the drain and the plumber stated he could leave it or I would have to pay $1,500 to bust the concrete to remove it. This included having to move the hot water tank and to reset it. Additionally, part of the service would provide with a camera inspection. I was later told my drains were failing, however, the footage I was offered to see was only one small tear. It was recommended replacing for $6,000. Conveniently they did not save the drain inspection. Afterwards, one plumber asked the other to check on the hot water tank valve to see whether it was leaking. The other plumber stated I may have to replace the valve for approximately $100. To later suggest the entire tank may need replacing. The tank was 5 years and was not leaking prior. Fast forward to a couple of months ago, I had another plumbing service come out to advise if the valve was leaking they would have not compromised the tank and would have fixed that day. Especially since it was not leaking prior. It was something they themselves the plumber had done. As well as putting in auger in a drain that was too narrow is foreseeable it would get caught in the drain. I should have never been charged. And as of this morning my water lines froze. Despite letting the faucets drip, having the pipes insulated with foam covers and R-40 in the attic. I opened the hot water tank closet to find they did not put foam covers on the lines which they removed. I made several calls to Hi-Tech Plumbing. They did not e-mail me like they said nor call me back. I had used them in the past and the past plumber who came out was great. Never had an issue with his work. However with Trisha who I spoke with who said herself if it was on them they would not have charged. The plumber should have not claimed it was there policy. I attempted to resolve the matter reasonably and they have ignored in resolving. And for this reason I felt if this is how they treated a returning client, I will no longer do business with them and recommend others to be cautious. Licensed professionals should not come to your home and make you pay for their mistakes, nor should they damage items in your home to secure future services and parts. As the other plumbing company told me, You know they make commission, don't ya.

Late Saturday night our AC stopped working. I called Hi-Tech Plumbing & Air Conditioning early Sunday morning and within an hour technician Kenneth Aguilar arrived at my home. I love that this company texts you ahead of time to give you the name of the technician coming, his qualifications, professional experience and at times, their photo , so you feel safe knowing who to expect at your door. He assessed the problem and in great detail explained how he could fix it. He answered all my questions and put my worried mind at ease. I can't say enough good things about Kenneth and Hi-Tech. We have done business with this company for years and are always very satisfied with the high quality of their work. Kenny was professional, friendly, neat and thorough. He applied discounts that I didn't even know we were entitled to towards our bill. My AC is now working great! For any further issues we have, I will most certainly be calling Hi-Tech Plumbing & Air Conditioning. I highly recommend them.

I called these guys to repair a broken pipe on the street. The water company had to come out and turn the main water system off. The service that Hi-Tech provided was great! They fixed the problem then called the water company back and got the job done in time for the kids to take their baths and mom and dad to enjoy some wine. I really thought we were going to have to check into a hotel for the night when I saw my flooded front yard. I liked them so much I called back and had a new tank free water heater installed. It freed up a ton of space in the garage and now we never run out of hot water. Well worth the money. I'm glad they suggested it. They are on my list... Rob.

I've worked with Hi-Tech for several months now with my new employer. They a very easy to work with, reliable and quick at responding to calls. Thanks hi tech for your great work and efforts!

My father used Hi-Tech Plumbing when he had an emergency on a weekend with his water filter blocking the flow of water in his home. He was happy that Hi-Tech was able to come and the plumber got the water flowing again. But the plumber gave the wrong advice by telling him that all 3 filters (costing $200) needed to be thrown away and the plumber took them to dispose of them. It turns out it when my father spoke to the water filter company that Monday, it was only one filter that was the problem and it could have just been cleaned. In addition, the plumber tightened the 3 outer casings so tight that my father could not open them to put the new filters in that he ordered. When he called Hi-Tech he was told that it would cost $192 for them to come to his home to loosen the casings. Outrageous! My father has had this water system for 5 years and never had an issue opening the casings. It was the plumber's fault for making them too tight. My father ended up calling a handyman who helped him out for only $30.

Good technicians that know how to install and repair. However prices are deceptive. They insist you pay a few hundred for a membership and tell you that you will get 15% off. So the membership nearly pays for itself you think. Then they give you an invoice that has a combined price which they tell you is net of the discount. There is no breakout of parts and labor and no breakout of the discount. It is overpriced and anything but transparent.

Late to arrive, charged me 150.00 to tighten a nut on new toilet, the toilet only cost 150.00. Charged me for a toilet rebuild 228.00 (wanted to charge full price) with 78.00 off. Took technician 10 minutes tops. Technician was fine, (I had good experience in the past...which included early service, parts, time, and expertise) however I will not use this company again and urge you to shop around, felt VERY ripped off and taken advantage of.
