We had a clogged kitchen sink back at the end of October in our condo. Because we have had so many plumbing issues due to shared pipes (including root issues), I called the HOA and they sent Hey's Plumbing. They were there for 15 minutes and charged $202.50. The HOA billed us because they said the plumber said it was all the homeowners issue because there were a few strands of pasta that fell down the sink. If I had known I was paying directly I would have asked what they charged first. There are many companies that clean a drain for $99. Ask the price before you call them. The technician even had the nerve to accept a tip from my brother. The only reason my brother tipped him is because he thought the HOA was paying. If he knew they were charging 202.50 for 15 minutes of work.....

I've started to write this review several times and each time my blood pressure rises and I get more and more upset. I would love to share the comedy of the situtation, however it would be a farce at best. Let's just say the problem started at the downstairs toilet. When the plummers from Heys arrived, I was asked about a box that's suppose be somewhere in my garage, which we don't have. I even went to my neighbors who have the same model of home, and asked about this box. They didn't have one either. After this crazy back and forth, I asked why they didn't want to snake the 'clean out' sewer where the water seemed to be coming from?

Anyway, I could go on, but the bottom line is Heys charged me $203.50 not to open my blockage. But, instead, insisted they would have to come back, at their convience, to tear up my front yard for hundreds more.

After, stupidly, paying Heys, I still had the problem. So, I called another company. The new company came out and, after about an hour, they broke through the blockage from the same 'clean out' Heys gave up on in favor of digging up my front yard and charging me hundreds for unnesassary work. I, of course, had to pay the other company, but they actually did the work. And, didn't try to jack up the costs.

In short, Heys is why when a homeowner needs a plummer they cringe asking...who can I trust? It's not Heys!

Our water main broke and water was erupting from our yard. We had no water to our house and we had no clue what to do. Jason from Heys came out and immediately diagnosed the problem, found the break underground, put us at ease, and had a brand new and upgraded water main installed for us the next morning. Amazing work and answered all of our questions. A broken water main is a highly-stressful situation to be in, but he took care of it, no problem. Thank you Jason and Heys!

Very happy with the service I received from Heys Plumbing. Anthony continued to provide honest updates and when the parts came , another service technician finished the job in no time. Very customer service oriented. All are friendly and helpful.

Had a toilet in my condo that was going to overflow because of a clog in the main line. Diana in the office was great at keeping me updating on the arrival time of the plumber, Gustavo, to fix the problem. He showed up in the early portion of the window that was given to me and got straight to work. The clog was more severe than either of us expected, but he took care of it fast and helped out with a couple of other issues that he noticed. Really appreciate all Heys did.

The pilot light on my hot water heater wouldn't stay lit. I called Heys Plumbing this morning and this afternoon Jason came out and replaced the pilot assembly and all is good again. Jason was great. He immediately went to the source of the problem, had the parts with him and made the repair. Thank you.

First of all, using Heys Plumbing was not my choice. My HOA has contracted them to do the re-piping work in my condominium complex. Secondly, I would not have chosen to leave this review if I had not had the unpleasant phone call with their office manager (?) ""Jen"" or ""Jenifer"" and the bad attitude I got from her. So here it is:

Between their own crew and the dry wall subcontractor, they had left several ""Easter Eggs"" for me to discover:

1. Unfinished wall cover installation (I finished it myself)
2. Unfinished dry wall patching inside kitchen cabinet found by my wife.
3. Accidentally threw away bathroom fixture (Yes, they ended up buying me a new set because the old beautiful brass set I had inherited from my parents is now incomplete and irreplaceable thanks to Felipe and his dry wall crew).
4. They covered the carpet with protective plastic sheets. Good, right? Then they managed to trample all over the uncovered areas leading to the kitchen.
5. Two weeks after they left, I found my attic light was left on, if I hadn't gone up there, it would have been left on for MONTHS. I can't wait to get my electric bill!! Thanks Heys! Perhaps you should offer to look into how much electricity costs??? Nope.

The incessant loud radio music and singing from the Heys crew during re-piping was also something to behold of. These men can REALLY put up a performance. But, it would be nice if they can first ask the building inhabitants if their performance was appreciated.

I had been corresponding with ""Jenifer"" or ""Jen"" (not sure if they are the same person) via emails for 2 weeks to work out the replacement bathroom fixture issue. However, the last email correspondence was about the newly discovered attic light being left on for 2 weeks. She replied and told me she had conveyed my message (displeasure) to the crew but she still wanted to know when I will be available so they can send someone to install the new replacement bathroom fixtures.

The attic light was the last straw for me, so instead of more emails, I called Heys directly and told Jenifer to not bother sending anyone over to install the fixtures. I will pick them up at their office and install them myself. I do not want Heys at my house. Upon hearing that, she went off on me saying ""I really don't need to hear that"" and ""I don't even know why I am apologizing"" and ""there is nothing more to be done, Felipe has already apologized"".

Hey Jen (or Jenifer), FYI, I never asked you to apologize, but your customer had a bad experience with YOUR crew and subcontractor, he called you to let you know not to send anyone back because YOU ASKED to set up another appointment. If you are offended by that, keep it to yourself. Go back and let your unprofessional crew have your wrath instead of taking it out on your customer. You customer didn't ask for any of this.

For whatever good plumbing work they have done, it has all been undone by such a bitter and negative experience due to lack of professionalism, carelessness and lastly, poor customer relations. It's a shame.

The day started out on a very sour note. Standing water in both the shower in master bath and the tub in 2nd bath and toilets not flushing . Called a company to deal with a clog in the drain but was told they could not come out for 4 days. Can't not have restroom use for that long as my wife and I are both unwell and need them to be available. Was referred to Heys by a friend and as luck would have it they were able to set up someone to come by ASAP! Jason showed up a couple of hours later and set to work to snake the drain. Unfortunately the access pipes in these homes in OO2 and OO1 are not very large and he could only use a small snake for the 2"" acccess. Bad news was the snake was not big enough and could not go far enough. Jason kept at it but it was futile. He sent a camera down the line and it was determined that the clog was out in the yard which meant maybe digging up the driveway and/or yard to go down 7'. Now we are talking big money and I'm feeling sick to my stomach all over again. Jason was in no way pushing for this and I could tell it was the last thing he wanted to do as well. As a final suggestion he said we could open the drywall in the garage by the washing machine and use a wider pipe to utilize a bigger snake. Success!! He was able to clear the drain of the clog that ended up being 10' out in the street! Even more big money!
I applaud Jason's work ethic and going above and beyond. I do believe that anyone else would have just said""you're going to have to dig""
Heys Plumbing is my new go to place!
