Our water heater was dripping. Zach from Heritage came and inspected it. He gave professional advice about the options we have. After thinking it through, I decided to replace. Zach worked diligently and installed the new water heater the same day. He answered well the questions I had regarding the new heater. I have hired these type of services before, but this experience was above and beyond.

Keith arrived when he said he would and was finished well before I would have expected. The quality was exceptional. Keith was knowledgable and provided superb customer service. Really an excellent experience. I would recommend them and would use them again.

Rob spent the better part of the day at my house today fixing a leaky kitchen sink and replacing a hot water heater that had eliminated itself all over my lower level the previous night. He was on time, very courteous and pleasant, and without trying to insult him I would call him a ""plumbing geek"". His work was precise and he cleaned up the complete mess of plumbing the previous owner had likely done himself - much of which was NOT up to code. He knew exactly what the problems were and how to fix them, he gave me a very detailed estimate and charged me exactly what he had quoted, despite the amount of time he spent here. Explained everythign that he did and how the new system works.
I don't know how Heritage's prices compare to others in the area. I have to admit I choked a bit when he gave me the initial quote but I feel 100% confident that the work was complerely professional and reliable, and I am confident I won't have to see him back again any time soon for these issues!

I have always enjoyed working with the people at Heritage. Very clean, which is important to us. Everything is a clean when the leave as it was when the arrived. They take their time to explain everything. We have had them servicing our AC and heating for years and 100% of the time they are very friendly.

The technician was able to come to our house right when we needed him with only a few days notice, and he was very knowledgeable about his trade. We were given several options and I understood the pros and cons of each choice.

I've heard from others that Heritage tends to be more expensive than some other service providers in the area. Not knowing the reputations of anyone else and being short on time, I took a chance with Heritage and I was not disappointed. I thought the price was fair and the workmanship was fast and professional (from what I could tell by looking, anyway - I'm not a plumber). He had all the parts right there and was done in less time than I expected. I would call Heritage again, definitely.

However - I qualify that this instance was for a repair to an existing hot water heater that totaled just around $500. For a complete hot water heater replacement I would shop around a bit more, especially now that I have a better idea of the kind of work involved and the cost variances depending upon where one purchases the hot water heater and what type of unit is purchased. Heritage is still on the list, but there will be others considered.

The service technician was prompt, courteous and efficient. He explained the process of the maintenance he was performing and was able to print out a receipt for the day's service on the spot.

Our water heater had a problem. They charged us $900 to replace a venting fan unit. It literally took the tech 5 minutes to unbolt 6 screws and a plug to fix the problem. They wanted to charge us $3000 to replace the whole unit. They were trying to take total advantage of use because we were in a bind. I would not recommend these people what so ever. Beware of this company as you can see from other post here they are not trust worthy at all.

The technician, Alan that arrived was prompt, courteous and professional. He was able to fix the issue and restore heat on a cold, NH evening. Thank you.

Words cannot describe how strongly I suggest you stay away from this company. They took me for almost $7k, sold me things I did not need, and charged prices that were absolutely ridiculously too high. They did this when I first bought my house, was young and naive and perfect prey. I accept responsibility, but I'm sharing the experience here to highlight that if one is vulnerable, watch your back. Take a written estimate from them and call an honest plumber for a second estimate. Your jaw will hit the floor. When my brother-in-law, a plumber from out of state visited, he lovingly laughed at me for what I fell for.

The prices they pull out vary depending on who you are - elderly, new homeowner who might not have comparison experience for the costs of such jobs, etc.

Let me be clear. Those polite service techs are salesmen. Due diligence.

Just run away. Run far, far away. Don't even fall for their favorably priced boiler maintenance, because in no time they'll tell you they can't continue inspecting your boiler for ""safety reasons"", and it must be entirely replaced, etc. Let my lessons learned help someone else find a legitimate plumber. For example, after they tell you that you need a new boiler, call another plumber. You'll get a better price if you do actually need to replace your boiler. I did that just to get a price comparison. What I got was another plumber who literally said I didn't even need a boiler, put his brochures back in his clipboard, and charged nothing for the visit to tell me that.

I called Heritage to install a new kitchen faucet head and even though I realized they were pricey, I hoped they would offer better service. Immediately after the faucet head was installed, water dribbled out after I turned it off. I mentioned this concern to the plumber and he smiled and said it should correct itself. After 2 weeks, I called Heritage back and mentioned that water was still dribbling after I turned it the faucet off, and so the company sent out another plumber....he said it was a faulty head and to call the plumbing supply company for another head and then he charged us another $40. Then he tried to up-sell me on other services.... and I still have a dribbling kitchen faucet . The first plumber should have known this!
