Is your to-do list growing larger? Does your house require more little fixes than you can manage? Let’s take care of it together.

We focus on minor tasks for your home maintenance. We only take on the small jobs that others overlook. Our work is limited to quick in-and-out jobs that take no more than a day or two. Most tasks take 6 hours or less. We do not perform work above 8 feet from the ground or floor. That type of work is not covered by our insurance.

We do not handle roofing, gutter work, or fascia repairs that exceed 8 feet.

Our pricing is competitive, and we have references available. We are fully insured and registered as a MA HIC.

In January 1989, we began our journey in a challenging economy as a home building and renovation contractor under Leonardi's Carpentry Co, based in Shrewsbury, MA. In the early years, we faced challenges but eventually established ourselves and worked with many fantastic clients. Now, we are a small two-man operation that specializes in urgent service calls, small carpentry jobs, and general handyman repairs under The Helpful Handyman Co. We no longer engage in home building, additions, kitchen or bath remodels, or roofing. Our focus is entirely on small home repairs.

My journey began in 1977 as a construction laborer, eventually becoming a carpenter apprentice. After a couple of years, I gained experience as a frame and finish carpenter, collaborating with reputable contractors such as Gifford Construction, Granger Corp., and DAS Construction.

In early 1989, I launched my own carpentry contracting business, meeting new people and taking on interesting projects. Throughout the years, I worked in different locations, handling home building, additions, remodeling, and other tasks.

Recently, I shifted my focus to handyman services, adopting the ""handyman"" title and moving away from ""carpentry."" Today, The Helpful Handyman Co is dedicated to small job repairs and urgent service calls, having moved away from general contracting.
