Called them 3 days ago to set up an appointment to check out the kitchen faucet. The day of the appointment, someone calls from their office, hangs up when I answer. I call back and they tell me they have to cancel the appointment because they have other jobs. Why schedule a consult days in advance? Told them never mind.

HELP installed a water heater less than 5 years ago. It stopped working this morning. Another plumbing company came out and took a look and said it needed a new pressure switch which costs around $400 but to call HELP because it may be under warranty. I called HELP and it is in fact under warranty (the part is, not the labor which doesn't make sense but whatever). They mandated their own tech come look at the water heater though even though I already knew what was wrong. Oh, and it costs $89 for them to do that (even though I already know what's wrong). I agreed because it would still be cheaper than buying the part. They scheduled me for later today from 3-5 but then called back about 30 minutes later saying they messed up and actually can't come today but could maybe come tomorrow (no time schedule) or the next day. I don't know how their mess up in scheduling became my problem. When I explained I am off of work today and don't have the flexibility to wait around 2 days for them to maybe maybe not come they refused to budge. When I explained that no one needs to come to assess because I already know it's the pressure switch, they refused to order the part without first looking at it. So for a part under warranty, they want to charge $89 to come + labor fees + will just come when they feel like it and expect people to work around their schedules. I talked to a manager who said she would have her manager call me but this didn't happen. So I am paying money to the original plumbing company just to not deal with HELP anymore. Yikes.

Jake and Sean installed a new water heater for us. We didn't know our old one was leaking carbon monoxide until they showed us. They were on time, very professional and did a great job. Jake went through all the options we had to choose from. He was very patient with our questions. They installed it within one day and made sure I understood how to shut it off if needed.

OUCH!!! Rep sold me their service plan after installing water heater a year ago. Here's the problem: The water heater is right next to the oil furnace. That's a problem because the rep said that I would get ""free"" furnace tune up. Now that it's come time to provide that ""FREE"" service Help says that they don't tune up ""oil"" furnaces. So I was stuck having to pay someone else additional money that I do not have. I canceled that contract and they wouldn't even give me my money back.

Please don't waste your time with help. I recently purchased an air conditioner from them and the salesman talked us into the mid grade model. When they installed it they found the heat exchanger on my furnace was cracked. They showed me and it actually was. They finished the install and sent another salesman out who sold us the top of the line furnace. (We went with the one with the longest warranty). They installed it and it was no problem. Until we noticed that the humidifier wasn't working. The plug they installed on the furnace wasn't working correctly. They came out multiple times and couldn't fix it. Aren't they electricians as well?? Then I noticed the air conditioning system wasn't operating correctly and they came out. BTW they charged me $89 every time they came out to fix the mistake they made on their install. The guy who came out told me that the air conditioner they put in isn't 100% compatible with the furnace they put in. He told me they never should have sold the two together. Then he charged me $89 for the house call and left. So I'm left with a half functioning and not very efficient system that was very expensive. Their warranty is worthless as they charge you for coming out and not fixing the issues. Please don't waste your time or money with this company. They will be very nice while giving you a terrible product that doesn't work. With a little research you can find better products/service elsewhere.

I have been trying to get HELP to fix the furnace they installed a year ago. They have been to my house three times with three different service techs and three different ""fixes."" My furnace still does not work properly and my house is cold and full of static because HELP cannot get the plug to work on my humidifier. I am so frustrated with this company. I believe it is their plan to frustrate the customer enough that they give up and go away. One really has to question a company that uses any high school graduate, gives them OTJ training and sends them out as qualified techs. One of the seasoned techs told us the salesman sold us the wrong unit for our house. So incompetent employees start from the beginning of the HELP experience. Do yourself a huge favor, look elsewhere. Don't waste your money on HELP.

I contacted Rachel on October 1 per her suggestion/comment to my Yelp review. I haven't received a reply back at all. I don't understand a company proposing resolution, or claiming concern, then simply not replying or following up.

Hi Rachel. Thanks for the follow up, but I already tried to work it out with a customer service manager as well as a master plumber. Since I called seven days past the warranty period (even though the warranty period was never provided to me), HELP refused to come back and deal with my drain issue. I think I made it clear that I would have reached out as soon as it started running slow of I were aware of the warranty period, but that was not on any document I received nor was it explained to me. I strictly went on the HELP website claim ""We'll clean your drain and make sure it keeps running that way long after we are gone."". In my opinion, HELP was not gone that long before my drain started backing up again. If you are suggesting you will resolve my issue, I will gladly call. Will you?

HELP violated the terms of their contract on their monthly subscription service and would not allow us to cancel prematurely.

Details:
By signing up for the ""Club"" membership ($20/mo), HELP offers a spring and fall tune-up for your AC/HVAC systems. The spring tune up went well. Two technicians came out and performed routine cleaning and inspection on AC unit.

***Fall tune up never occurred. We had an appointment scheduled for a Thursday morning between 8am-12pm and they left us a voicemail the night before at 7pm informing us that they were cancelling our appointment due to other ""emergencies in the area"". This is despite the fact that the written agreement of the ""Club"" membership clearly states ""Guaranteed Service Appointments"" and ""Front of Line Pass"". Perhaps this post will give them an opportunity to explain where a less-than-12 hour postponement falls in the ""Front of Line Pass"" policy.

Two stars only because the technician Troy was professional and informative.

I have an emergency with a clogged drain that is backing up in my basement. I saw this company's add and gave them a call. They said they will not provide service at a rental! What kind of crap is that? I'm renting a townhouse from an out of town landlord who authorized the repairs. As a soon to be homeowner guess who won't be getting any of my business?

Absolute con artists who lie about needed services in order to get
more business to pay their commission- only jobs. Only a handful are
trained technicians, and most of their work is done by a contractual
plumbing company who wear their shirts with the HELP logo to fool
the client. The contractors have the needed equipment that HELP does
not even own and their truck has no ID on it, they have no business cards, no personal IDs, and no direct HELP contact.
HELP lied to me by having me believe that the work was completed on
my sewer aqua scrub, which it was not by any means, took my $$$$ over $2600.00 by check and deposited in the bank hours later, fully
knowing that they were ripping me off. After I had a professional plumber
examine their work as well as MSD, it took them 3 days to ""complete""
the job again, this time again by a non identifiable crew who used my
hose without asking to provide water for their truck's aqua scrub to work, 9 hrs + of nonstop running and leaking because it is not made for
a powerful flow the first day, then 8-10 hr plus days of extended water use for the subsequent 2-3 days. ALL this for what should have been a one day job.
The first day they came out, their defective power hose sprung a leak
and was flying all over my house, hitting my windows, hitting power
lines, and flooding my garage. They then told me that their work was
finished and made me pay the bill. I fell for their lie.
Because HELP has such a powerful ad campaign for three different
states, they feel that they can get away with fooling the Public.
The Media really needs to investigate such a crooked company and
expose them for what they really are.
