Heil Plumbing
Company Overview
We strive to offer top-notch service to the homeowners in Howard County, Maryland, built on a foundation of integrity and honesty.
Joseph Heil began his journey in the plumbing and heating industry during the winter of 1956. He first served as a residential apprentice plumber, eventually rising to the position of residential journeyman plumber. In 1977, Joseph and Miriam launched the Joseph Heil Company, Registered Plumbers, as a sole proprietorship. Starting with plumbing services, gas work, and residential tasks, he eventually grew into commercial and industrial plumbing. During the summer of 1990, Mr. Heil had a heart attack, leading Edward Heil to come back to work full-time with the business. At present, we are engaged in the installation of radiant heating, solar hot water systems, kitchen and bath renovations, home upgrades, and plumbing repairs. JHCI is focused on delivering plumbing solutions to the Howard County, MD area that are designed to last.
Edward joined his father, Joseph Heil, in the plumbing business during high school, later gaining experience with other plumbing firms. After his father's heart attack in 1990, Edward came back to work for the company. He holds a master plumber/gasfitter license and has additional certifications in backflow prevention, stationary engineering, and home improvement in the State of Maryland. Edward is married to Laurie Heil, and they have three children, two of whom are part of the company.

They were responsive on the phone, and were easy to schedule. Their technician came out promptly and provided valuable guidance regarding our sump pump. We did not end up hiring them this time but will certainly consider for future projects.

Dishwasher was not filling with water. Contacted my home warranty company, who assigned a company that took over a month before figuring out the washer had a plumbing problem. After warranty company assigned a 2-star rated plumbing company, I canceled the service and reached out to Heil Plumbing. Within two days the technicians came to my property and finally took care of the plumbing issue with the dishwasher. The technicians were friendly and professional. Will use this company again if needed.

This was by far the experience I've had with a plumber in the 7 years we've been here in MD. Nick was friendly, professional, brimming with knowledge and expertise, and had the job done (replaced our toilet) in well under two hours start to finish! We'll definitely be back the next time we need a plumbing repair. Thanks, Nick!

We had a leak issue on a Sunday. After calling 8+ plumbers and mostly getting a can't come out until tomorrow, Heil called back, and even though we were out of their emergency service territory, the technician called back and give us advice on the likely issue over the phone and told us we didn't need to pay for an emergency plumber. Really appreciate going above and beyond for someone who wasn't a customer.

We use Heil Plumbing for all our plumbing needs. We've used them for years. We don't bother getting other estimates, because Heil Plumbing is honest and competent. You can rest assured that they will do the work well and not let you down. I would strongly suggest that you call them first and have them do your plumbing work for you.

The technicians did a great job repairing my pinhole leak in my copper pipe. They were fast, very courteous, and prompt. I asked many questions and they patiently responded. Heil Plumbing has gained a new customer.

What can I say? I called at 7:20 AM for clogged kitchen sink/disposal. They gave us a two hour window from 10 AM to 12 pm. Called at 8 AM and said they were running ahead of schedule and could they come in at 815 instead. In and out by 930, Took payment over the phone since I wasn't home (my parents were). Sent me an email receipt instantaneously. I have a perfectly functioning drain now. Money well spent!

Hands-down the best plumbing service in the universe. We called for an emergency and they came within 20 minutes and have very reasonable prices. Very lucky to have them in our neighborhood!!

Needed a drain stopper removed which was difficult on my part given the way it broke and the position. They were responsive and got the job done promptly. The only drawback was the price point. Factor cost of parts and this should have been maxed half of what they charged. But I knew that upfront and needed this repair quick. Others just quoted the cost to visit but needed to see the damage before quoting so there is that. Overall, solid people and service was great, just a bit on the high side.

I needed a plumber at the last minute and they were able to accommodate. I was able to set an appointment for the very next day which was great. The guy showed up during the time that I requested and was fast and efficient. He came right in, looked at the pipes under the bathroom faucet and fixed it right away. He also explained why I wasn't able to fix it (didn't have the right tools). The price was reasonable as well.
I have no complaints about this company. I would use them again, if I needed to.

Two plumbers came out quickly and were very courteous. They pulled off their shoes when I didn't even ask. This is the second time I used them with the same quality and quick service. When they say they will come out first thing they did both times. We will need a water heater soon and I would definitely use them.
