Recommended Customer Reviews

Well, despite my best efforts, over a number of years, I must say that I highly recommend using another company for your mechanical needs. I inherited this business relationship from a house I'm in the process of purchasing. Despite having concerns regarding their service department (2 repairs and 2 rapid failures) in the past, I decided to invite them to offer their proposal for a new system. That was 2 weeks ago. Ben, their rep seems knowledgeable, however has failed to to date provide a quote. Only repeated excuses. The current owner, Shawn, when contacted to discuss this via phone pretended to not ""be in"". Unfortunately, I was in his parking lot when I called and as his receptionist was saying ""...he is out on a delivery..."" was actually in plain sight. Honestly, so glad I moved on. I suggest you do as well...

Very good customer service. Was in the market for a new boiler and water heater, called three different companies, Heatsource being one of them. The person that came to my home was very professional and very nice. He even gave me one of the quotes I asked for right on the spot. I did not end up going with them due to other circumstances but their customer service was very good,

Price Gouging- Very disappointed with the service .I Was charged $139.00 for an initial troubleshooting( nothing was fixed) & $239.00 For the 2nd service call. There was no price reduction for the 2nd trip after I complained. They charged me $378.00 in total to tell me I needed a new part because the wire was bad. My ex (NOT a technician) discovered I could buy JUST buy the wire not the entire part. Furthermore ,I was given incorrect information from the heat source technician. The part needed to fix fireplace was only $60.00. I could install it myself. Not A very knowledgeable company. They are also over charging people.

During a recent furnace outage (aka furnace not working), upon inspection and noticing the dreaded ""3 blink"" or flash code from the small LED on the unit, indicating a pressure switch and/or problem in the pressure switch system itself, a call was made to two other repair/service facilities, which were all booked, or at least that's what was stated and they could only come after hours at almost three times the cost of HeatSource, the wife and I called HeatSource to see if they could send out a technician as the house was already down to the mid 50's and it was still in the negative temps outside. Not only did the very nice young lady on the end of the phone listen to our needs and issues, we actually spoke to a human and not a dreaded answering machine service when we had to push 100 buttons to talk to a live human. She listened to what I had found out and passed this information along to her technician (Jess, or Jessie maybe was his name - I hope that was right), but she also reassured us that he would be out later that afternoon, before the close of business. When he arrived, he immediately began to troubleshoot and diagnose the issue. The bad part was replaced, as well as a new condensation pump which what was needed to prevent the new part from going bad. Now, while I knew I needed a condensation pump, I kept putting it off as I kept getting quotes in the $400 to $500 range and of course, by that time it was summer and other things took priority. Once again, the price for the condensation pump was nowhere close to that (almost half actually). So, while no one likes to spend money on repair costs or service calls, at least I knew this money was well spent (not like paying $100s of dollars for a lawyer and not getting any real satisfaction from it). Thank you to HeatSource for the quick response, for listening to what we found out (even though we weren't trained HVAC personnel) and repairing only the parts needed and not extra ones like a previous repair service technician tried to pull on us a year or so ago. Again, thank you all!

I swear Heat Source messed up our Boiler heater even more and charged us 300$ for a 7$ part. On top of that they already said it would cost an extra 400$ for the part they know was needed to fix the problem, but just cleaned the burner instead..., bullshit if the technician knew what was needed to fix the problem why jerk us around? ""oh to bilk more money out of us"" they lost us as a customer and be careful if you call these rip off artists.

would rate them well for a timely appointment, we were charged fairly for the call out and inspection, then we were charged $350.00 fee for handling a Weil-McLain heat exchanger warranty. We called the next day to find out what they were going to do for that money, we were told someone would call us back, this was a Friday, on Monday we get a call from Larry stating they already used the $350.00 processing the claim and would not refund the money. Their pricing was over a $1000.00 dollars higher for the the repair estimate and they did nothing more than get a claim number to return the part, which they hadn't replaced. When I mentioned to Larry keeping some of the fee and returning the rest he told me no. Beware of this company!!!!

Heatsource Mechanical installed our heating system when our house was built in 2009. The boiler soon developed problems that were a manufacturer issue not an installation one. Heatsource worked hard to resolve them, making many 106 mile round trips to our location. Their expertise and persistence lead the manufacturer to admit the problem and agree to replace the entire boiler. The professionalism and cheerful demeanor while dealing with our frustration and the manufacturer's recalcitrance was exemplary and much appreciated! We did not incur a single dime in any additional costs during this time. I could go on and on with negatives about this particular brand of boiler (which Hearsource no longer carries) but have nothing but superlatives about Heatsource, it's owner, the office staff, and the technicians.

Great customer service, accommodating, and very knowledgeable. Thank you Jennifer for the wonderful support. I'm very happy with HeatSource.

Heatsource Mechancial didn't provide bad service, it provided no service. I had an appointment for routine maintenace for my furnace. Heatsource canceled the first appointment because it was overbooked with emergencies. Understandable it was cold. We made a second appointment. Second appointment day rolls around and I take off work because my spouse was unavailable that day. We confirmed the appointment earlier in the week. Heatsource doesn't show up again. When I call to find out what is going on, I am told they were again overbooked. I asked how come no one called to let us know, I find out they had written down my spouse's number wrong (so left a message on someone else's voicemail) and didn't bother to leave messages either on my cell phone or my home phone. Heatsource's solution? We can reschedule you a third time. I think not. Go elsewhere if you can.

In 2009, Heatsource rerouted, and installed new fans and piping for two of our upstairs bathrooms. During the winter, the vent would stay shut for about 5 minutes until the frost melted enough for the it to open. My husband suspected the work wasn't done properly, and checked it. My husband discovered several problems. The plastic wrapped insulation around the piping was waterlogged, and had begun to drip in the crawl space, which would have led to mold growing up there. After my husband removed the insulation he noticed Heatsource failed to use foil tape to seal the pipes before wrapping with insulation, which is the reason why the insulation became waterlogged. Additionally, the vent that went out the gable end was not sealed properly, and was the reason for the vent flap sticking in the winter. We made some calls, and considered doing the work ourselves. However, we put it off after Heatsource asked for an opportunity to redo the work. We're still waiting for Heatsource to honor their request. No show again. We caution potential clients to beware of shoddy workmanship. If you need work to be done right, do your research to ensure you know what you're looking at. Also, we recommend you check the work each step of the way to prevent corners being cut.
