The tech who inspected our furnace for the sale of our home was incredibly unprofessional. He acted like doing his job was a huge inconvenience for him. He found a small crack in the condensate tube and told us we would be lucky to find a replacement part and might need an entirely new furnace. A quick google search indicated that parts are available. He left a wadded up paper towel in the furnace saying it wouldn't get hot enough to cause an issue. His report indicated that our furnace is older than is accurate and he made a comment about the life span of furnaces in general which does not apply to our furnace (because we heat primarily with wood so our furnace has incredibly low hours and has been impeccably maintained) and could impact the value and sale of our home. When we brought our concerns to the manager we were told that company policy is to never change what a tech puts in their report- evidently even when the information is subjective, inaccurate or doesn't apply to the situation. Further, he was to look at our gas stove and continually commented that it was a huge pain, he doesn't really know about gas stoves. He fiddled with the door for 15 min and managed to strip the threads of the bracket the door bolts to and then told us it was cross threaded. He managed to mostly get the door closed again but then said the door was warped and didn't close properly- despite the fact that the door is cast iron and is clearly not warped. He said it was not safe so he turned off the stove BUT DID NOT TURN OFF THE GAS. We tapped and rethreaded the bracket and the door closed smoothly so we ended up paying $60 for him to break our stove and not give us an inspection report because, as he said, he doesn't know about gas stoves, anyway. It has now been almost 2 weeks and we have not heard back from Heat Source about replacing the condensate tubing. Previously we have had positive experiences with this company but this interaction has us convinced to never deal with them again. Update: it's now been more than 2 weeks and when we called to check on the part they wanted to replace, they said they would call the furnace company and check and call us back(which is what they said they'd do 2 weeks ago). Still waiting for a call back.

Very unhappy with my service. The two men that shodidn't have the parts to fix my water heater and left trash behind for me to clean up. I'm not happy that I paid $178 for a visit and diagnostic for parts they do not and may not have. I definitely feel robbed. Poor buisness. 07Jan **Was told they'd be in touch, I've been with hot water since 15Dec19. They informed me they'd call and let me know how much it's cost to order the parts and then repair it and still nothing. Called a few times, no response. Someone finally answered and said parts department is busy and I'd get a call back. That was two days ago, called again, no answer. This buisness is awful.

I have been a Heatsource customer for many years and never have they let me down. Very reasonable prices and the technicians are extremely professional and effective. Between having the annual maintenance and the on call maintenance its always kept my house and family warm. Thank you! I have recommended them before and still do.

I must say I'm very disappointed in this organization. While they are competent enough at what they do their billing practices and business practices in general leave much to be desired. The manufacturer of my boiler recommended HM so I called them. They responded quickly but the tech they sent didn't understand our in floor heating system so he called a second tech who was here for about 40 minutes. My bill was $496! It was explained to me that I was billed $134 because the first tech needed help from the second tech. When HM returned 5 weeks later because things still weren't fixed I decided to call and complain about this since they sent the second tech this time and he downplayed his role from the first visit. The manager listened to my complaint and assured me she would get back to me but she never did. Also the tech upon leaving recommended additional work to extend the life of my boiler and promised a call with an estimate... He also never called. So...$614 later and all they did was adjust the pressure in my in floor system and adjust the temperature of my boiler.

I would not let these people in your home, they are not getting in mine again. I was away working December, mid winter honeywell aquastat for boiler quit making heat. no one available to fix but these guys. came to my home put another box in 1.5 hours and charged me $3000.00. Box failed , should be under warranty like the last one but they only warranty for 30 days. They took the expensive box I wanted and said they threw it in a dumpster. it could of been fixed ,probably only a sensor. It upset me they removed it from my home, the manual for it disappeared to. They replaced it with a cheap $218.00 box and 2 relays that cost $14.00 apiece. so installed was about $248.00 worth of parts and charged me $1700.00 plus had me put a deposit for parts for $1500.00 which came to a total of $3,231.05. for 1.5 hours of labor. When they first came it was an additional $268.50 and a $179.00 return trip because of something that was not working they should of fixed the first time which came to $447.00.50. When I took the cover off the cheap box that failed I discovered he did not even bother hooking up the ground wire on my taco pumps, that teed me off. He calls himself a plumber but he sure the hell is not an electrician. That was more like extortion than plumbing, If you have plumbing to do there is other plumbers in this town that are fine and reasonable.

Well, despite my best efforts, over a number of years, I must say that I highly recommend using another company for your mechanical needs. I inherited this business relationship from a house I'm in the process of purchasing. Despite having concerns regarding their service department (2 repairs and 2 rapid failures) in the past, I decided to invite them to offer their proposal for a new system. That was 2 weeks ago. Ben, their rep seems knowledgeable, however has failed to to date provide a quote. Only repeated excuses. The current owner, Shawn, when contacted to discuss this via phone pretended to not ""be in"". Unfortunately, I was in his parking lot when I called and as his receptionist was saying ""...he is out on a delivery..."" was actually in plain sight. Honestly, so glad I moved on. I suggest you do as well...

Very good customer service. Was in the market for a new boiler and water heater, called three different companies, Heatsource being one of them. The person that came to my home was very professional and very nice. He even gave me one of the quotes I asked for right on the spot. I did not end up going with them due to other circumstances but their customer service was very good,

Price Gouging- Very disappointed with the service .I Was charged $139.00 for an initial troubleshooting( nothing was fixed) & $239.00 For the 2nd service call. There was no price reduction for the 2nd trip after I complained. They charged me $378.00 in total to tell me I needed a new part because the wire was bad. My ex (NOT a technician) discovered I could buy JUST buy the wire not the entire part. Furthermore ,I was given incorrect information from the heat source technician. The part needed to fix fireplace was only $60.00. I could install it myself. Not A very knowledgeable company. They are also over charging people.

During a recent furnace outage (aka furnace not working), upon inspection and noticing the dreaded ""3 blink"" or flash code from the small LED on the unit, indicating a pressure switch and/or problem in the pressure switch system itself, a call was made to two other repair/service facilities, which were all booked, or at least that's what was stated and they could only come after hours at almost three times the cost of HeatSource, the wife and I called HeatSource to see if they could send out a technician as the house was already down to the mid 50's and it was still in the negative temps outside. Not only did the very nice young lady on the end of the phone listen to our needs and issues, we actually spoke to a human and not a dreaded answering machine service when we had to push 100 buttons to talk to a live human. She listened to what I had found out and passed this information along to her technician (Jess, or Jessie maybe was his name - I hope that was right), but she also reassured us that he would be out later that afternoon, before the close of business. When he arrived, he immediately began to troubleshoot and diagnose the issue. The bad part was replaced, as well as a new condensation pump which what was needed to prevent the new part from going bad. Now, while I knew I needed a condensation pump, I kept putting it off as I kept getting quotes in the $400 to $500 range and of course, by that time it was summer and other things took priority. Once again, the price for the condensation pump was nowhere close to that (almost half actually). So, while no one likes to spend money on repair costs or service calls, at least I knew this money was well spent (not like paying $100s of dollars for a lawyer and not getting any real satisfaction from it). Thank you to HeatSource for the quick response, for listening to what we found out (even though we weren't trained HVAC personnel) and repairing only the parts needed and not extra ones like a previous repair service technician tried to pull on us a year or so ago. Again, thank you all!

I swear Heat Source messed up our Boiler heater even more and charged us 300$ for a 7$ part. On top of that they already said it would cost an extra 400$ for the part they know was needed to fix the problem, but just cleaned the burner instead..., bullshit if the technician knew what was needed to fix the problem why jerk us around? ""oh to bilk more money out of us"" they lost us as a customer and be careful if you call these rip off artists.
