I am giving this company a ZERO! First when they came out to assess the situation, they hit the pipe with the back of a hammer causing a hole in the top of the pipe. Then when they came out to fix broken pipes under the ground, they replaced the pipes and left old pipe in the ground and two old curb traps, basically doing half the job and cutting corners. The guys that came out were EXTREMELY rude and wanted no questions, even if I asked them if they needed a beverage and offered them my bathroom to use if needed (common courtesies). Be careful to ask questions even if you seem annoying and review the work to make sure it is fully complete, not halfway.

Hartman and Sons broke a snake my drain and refused to repair it. They act like they didn't do it. They were the only ones who had snaked my drain. Please beware!!

The rating for this company should be a 0. I don't understand why Home Serve
doesn't investigate the companies that they send out to do work better. When a company is bad it is a reflection on Home Serve as well.
I will make my comment brief because I am still fuming.
I had a clogged wash bowl drain in my basement. I had used my kitchen garbage disposal and the very soft rice that I had placed in the disposal went straight to the basement wash bowl stopping it up and water kept rising. I was lucky that it did not overflow onto my floor. Had it overflowed, I would have had a bigger mess to clean up. The guy promised to come back today with a more powerful snake and unclog my drain but didn't show up or call. I could never get through to their main number and the number he gave me went to voicemail and my messages were never returned.
Who does business like this and stays in business with Home Serve vouching for them????

I wish they had a zero! This company is horrible! Sent out by Homeserve. Time slot was 12:00 to 3:00. No call. Finally at 4:30 they said they were on their way. Checked my issues and said he had to go to Home Depot. It's now 6:30 pm. Never came back!! Called Home Serve and they said the ticket was marked as complete by the plumber! Wasted a full day with this incompetent company and their lies. NEVER HIRE HARTMANN AND SONS WATER AND SEWER COMPANY.

OMG! CAN WE GIVE THEM NOOOOO STARS! This company is the worst! They were sent out by HOMESERVE and they kept canceling with NO CALL. We called HOMESERVE again and they dispatched them again. This time they came out and was not prepared. Said they did not know what they were coming out for and when they heard it was an issue with the water heater, they said they would contact us they next day after they followed up with their MASTER PLUMMER. Well there was no call, After following up with HOMESERVE again they sent this company out again. They confirmed that they would come on Thursday 9-11. Well time is a NO CALL NO SHOW and they had the nerve to tell HOMESERVE that they did not have an appointment. Then I say NEVER AGAIN! I mean NEVER AGAIN! a whole day wasted!

They don't even deserve 1 star. Horrible company! Have home serve through my water insurance and they were the first available for a sewer back up. Cancelled on me an hour before they were scheduled to arrive, their technician that came 2 days later drove in an unmarked truck, wore everyday clothes (wasn't going to get dirty), did have any equipment but a snake you buy at Walmart and made me, MADE ME dig to find my clean out pipe. I told them to leave and I would have someone come out. Lazy, lazy technician that didn't want to do a dirty job!!!!! Refuse your insurance company to send them out. Im in KY and they are not even a local company.

if I could give it a zero, I would. This is the worst unequipped outfit I've ever seen. They couldn't even do a simple drain. Another company came out and did it within 15 minutes. Home service is the one that sent those clowns out.

Hatmann & Sons was dispatched to me by HomeServe. I called my water leak in on Friday 2-21-25, it was an emergency dispatch as I was unsure how to turn the water off and water was gushing into my basement. I finally located the shut off & good thing because they never came nor even called until Monday morning! Gave 1 star because I had to pick a rating and they showed up 2 hours before schedule. However, the plumber dispatched didn't know how to work with galvanized pipe nor did he know how to use a pipe threader. He couldn't figure out how to turn the water on or off and did nothing while he was here. He said he'd have someone call to reschedule. Nobody called. Keep in mind, I found out Monday morning I had lost 1500 gallons of water on Friday and I'm NOT a plumber but figured out how to turn the water off and on. They finally called me today, mid morning. They were unable to service today (I took yesterday & today off work to sort this out) and asked when I'd be available. I advised M-F after 6:30om (I have to work) or Saturday after 2:30pm. I was told to call HomeServe back and get another provider. I called them, they got a reputable plumber here in a couple hours and my pipe has been repaired.

This was the plumbing company dispatched by AWR. The tech was nice and tried to snake the clog in my sewer line. He told me the water in my utility sink would come out and I would have to clean it up. Once he finished, he apologized and told me I had to get it jetted. He ended up leaving a pile of sludge and sewage in the basement. I asked if he was going to clean it up and he told me it was my responsibility not theirs. I've never had a plumbing company ever say that to me. He said they would call me back - it's been 2 days and no call. I contacted AWR and they could only leave a message. Horrible company!
