Called Harry Barr in the AM because my Furnace had stopped working, another plumber recommended Harry, because he would not be able to look at it until later in the day.
Harry came pretty quick, was very professional and knowledgeable, and diagnosed the problem immediately, Nick (also very friendly and professional) came back later in the day with the new part and got my furnace working. My only issue with them is the cost, I thought it was too high for the service (I checked with a few people and they thought the same), I don't mind paying a little more for excellent service, but not when it's excessive.

Update:Spoke with Harry, as previously stated, he is very friendly and professional, he explained the cost in more detail and after talking with him, I will definitely use him again if the need arises.

When you call for service, Harry always answers the phone himself and is sincerely appreciative for your business. Every single time! His staff is very courteous, respectful and clean. Barr Plumbing is always there when you need them and Harry will never leave you hanging in an emergency. His business truly deserves a very big thumbs up on all counts. My main sewer line cracked on Sunday night and began leaking raw sewage into my basement. I called Harry Barr at 8 a.m. Monday morning. The man himself and his son showed up and had the entire cast iron section replaced with brand new PVC by lunchtime. Quick job, good work, and the estimate was right around what I was expecting. A fair price for good work.

I called and spoke directly to Harry telling him I needed a bathroom faucet fixed but I had to wait until my husband was out of work during early afternoon because he works nights. My husband call when he was home and they said they would be there by 3 and they were a NO SHOW. I then called after 5pm and spoke with Harry again directly and he apparently didn't put the work order in , full of apologies and told me how unprofessional that was and that they would be at my house the following day at 12:30 and how sorry he was. Well, guess what, another NO SHOW. Now I get Harry on the phone again and he then wants to tell me that I was the next job After 12:30. I know that's not what was said because I would have asked for a time being someone had to be there. I was told now he is going to do the job for free. If he shows.
This is unacceptable business practice and oddly I had used them before several years back and no problems.

I own a business in Wayne and needed Harry in an emergency -our toliet was not working. He sent one of his guys within a half hour and problem was solved. I have also used Harry at my home for new install of water heater, change out in a bathroom etc. Their work is exceptional. The men are through and clean up after the work. Would not hesitate to use these guys ever. Very Professional
