I'm glad I found him, as the other guys I had out charged me $261 to snake from my roof and didn't even clear the clog. They said I needed a clean out installed and their quote was over twice as much as what Victor did it for.
He also didn't make any claims as to what the problem was until he could get a camera in and know for sure.

Victor responded really fast to our call. He had to go to the store to replace the first toilet he brought because it was cracked. Because he had to respond to an emergency job he called Richard to help him. Richard came and did a great job and both of them stayed late on Saturday afternoon to finish the work. Not only did he get the sink unclogged, he was able to do it in a clean, professional manner (he brought his own towels and mat)!!! Victor just left our home after fixing our massively clogged kitchen line. He arrived right on time for our 11AM appointment, and after some quick inspection of the issue, went right to work. He fixed the problem within a half hour! While working on the problem, he was friendly, and very informative about what to do when we have clogs and backups, and what to avoid. My parents asked him for some advice on preventative measures, and he responded openly and honestly. He's friendly, honest and above all, professional. He also got our problem fixed in a half hour! I'm definitely going to call him again if I have any further issues, and so is my whole family.

Extremely good experience. Our kitchen sink was backed up. I called Victor at Happy Rooter, and he said he could come right over, even though it was a Saturday afternoon. He got here in about thirty minutes. He snaked the line three times to try to get through an obstruction, and finally went on the roof to snake through the soil stack. It worked! He worked very hard for about two hours, and charged us $240. He was very nice, and very professional. Also, had the roof thing not worked, the next option would have been much more expensive, and he worked hard to avoid us having to go the more expensive route.

I was experiencing slow toilet syndrome in an upstairs bathroom along with slower-than-normal draining of a tub after a shower. Thinking there must be a partial blockage downstream, I called Happy Rooter based on Yelp reviews. Victor said he could come out within the hour; we rescheduled for the next day.

Victor arrived promptly, on time, and said he didn't think there was a blockage, but that the toilet was old (vintage 1974) and needed replacement. I asked him about the slow draining tub (which wasn't very slow when he tested it) so after some discussion we agreed that he would pull the toilet and power auger the toilet and tub drain lines. Concerned about the condition of the drain lines that ran overhead in the ceiling of a newly remodeled kitchen downstairs, I paid extra for him to run a camera into the pipes to view their condition.

Results: No blockage found in either drain line. Pulled a very small amount of hair from the tub drain, but nothing came up from the power auger. Camera found little residue in the pipes (nice confirmation) and no obvious areas of concern going forward. Tub now drained fine. Replaced toilet and it flushed normally (better than when he first arrived). So what changed? No clue.

His helper mentioned that we should not be using blue toilet tablets in the tank, and that they cause problems. I had heard that chlorine-based ""pucks"" in the tank eat up the rubber seals in the tank causing leaks. This was not the problem I was experiencing so disregarded the comments at the time.

In the end, Victor did what he came out to do, was prompt, was very neat (wore shoe protectors on my carpets) and placed plastic sheets on the bathroom floor and adjacent carpeted hallway. Much appreciated!

Days later, the toilet still has slow toilet syndrome. Maybe it's time for a new toilet. Have done much internet research in the meantime, but that's another story, separate from my very positive experience with Happy Rooter.

Thank you YELP. I found Happy Rooter on YELP after waiting a couple of days for a call back from a more ""known"" plumbing contractor for a clogged main sewer line. It was a good thing I did not get the call back. I called Victor late on a Friday afternoon and he said he would stop by after his son's baseball practice. Victor called when he was on the way. We decided that the main sewer line needed to be replaced and he gave a very reasonable quote. The work was started and completed on Monday. Victor had to replace additional pipe which was not quoted but the price stated the same. The crew cleaned up after themselves when the job was complete. The family could not be happier with the work that Happy Rooter did and now we have a permanent plumber to call for any of our plumbing needs. I will refer Happy Rooter to anyone that asks.
