My husband and I have lived in Shoreline for a little over three years and have called Hans' Plumbing in several times. After a horrible experience with another plumber, we were relieved to have completely the opposite experience with Hans' Plumbing. They are absolutely one of the best small businesses in the area! We recently prepared our home for sale and called them up again to fix a few issues.

Justin is the one who usually comes out to our home. He is prompt, polite, patient, and explains everything he is going to do to fix a problem as well as the reasoning behind it, estimate of how much time it will take (and therefore, by extension, the cost), and what he would recommend. He makes sure you understand the work being done and give your permission before he does any work outside of what was first outlined/agreed-upon. He fixed up the issues in our very old home (it's 60 years old!) with minimal damage to the walls (where he needed to drill in to replace plumbing). He also told me exactly how to (inexpensively) fix up the wall again afterward.

Plumbing work is always expensive, but Hans' Plumbing's rates seemed quite reasonable to us.

Hans' Plumbing definitely goes above and beyond! We found them through a recommendation from our furnace guy (who is also awesome). And we asked them for recommendations of general contractors when we decided to sell our house - they sent over a list of five highly recommended contractors. I checked and they all have perfect Better Business Bureau ratings. We ended up going with one of the general contractors on his list and he was also an excellent contractor to work with. There's a great network here of conscientious, hard-working small businesses in the area - we were lucky enough to find it!

My husband and I have switched off being the one at home during the various plumbing fixes we've had done and we both highly, highly recommend Hans' Plumbing.

Fast, prompt and seemed very honest -- no overselling us even though it would have been easy to do so. Fixed and explained everything in detail (we asked a lot of questions). Totally reasonable time spent. I'd hire them again!

Excellent service and absolute integrity. Justin had to search for our line cap through overgrown bushes, which he did very patiently. He also recommended against the rooting I thought we needed based on his expert assessment, though he could have made more money if he'd done it anyway. Han's Plumbing are the ones to call.

I had to replace our toilet with a Toto that I ordered online. Hans went over the specs with me and measured the existing rough-out to make sure it would fit before we spent the money to get it installed. There was some confusion on the Toto documentation so I called online vendor, they called Toto and confirmed it was okay. Thanks to Hans' diligence to ensure I didn't spend money needlessly. His tech came and replaced the toilet in a half hour and it works beautifully. Thanks to Hans and his tech

Sunday evening we noticed water dripping from our living room ceiling. I called first thing Monday morning and Han's had someone out a couple hours later. The problem was quickly diagnosed and fixed. I felt that the price was very fair. Hopefully this is the last of our plumbing emergencies but I won't hesitate to call again if we have a problem.

I called Hans' Plumbing for a leaking toilet and Justin came over to fix it and he was awesome. Not only did he quickly fix the problem he also took the time to explain what the problem was as well as the different options I could choose from to fix it. He made sure to indicate the pluses and negatives of all choices including the most cost effective approach. I appreciated the honesty as well as his overall enthusiasm. when you call a service like this Justin is the exact type of person you cross your fingers and hope will show up.

So I will definitely use Hans' Plumbing again in the future. Nothing, but a positive experience.

My recent plumbing experience with Hans' really was ""as good as it gets!"" We were left in a serious lurch by another unfortunate plumbing company that I'm sad I ever called. Our tenant was left without a shower for nearly a week thanks to the other plumber who decided to turn their water off without my permission or necessity of the situation. Hans' came in and gave me an honest assessment of the situation, told me all of my options, and then asked how I wanted them to proceed. They were quick and professional and fair to me and I will be using them again for all of my plumbing issues.

A part of me doesn't want to write this review because if everyone knew about the few honest plumbers on the Eastside, they might not be able to help me next time I have an emergency!

When I used them last, their rooting quotes were *much* lower than other plumbers I obtained quotes from. On that occasion, Justin (sp?) arrived and performed a better job than another, more widely advertised rooter company. (Tip: don't go with anyone who spends a lot of money advertising online, with fliers, or in the yellow pages....all that overhead seem to correspond with higher prices.)

Cannot recommend this company enough! Jamie came to our home, assessed plumbing problems. Explained thoroughly want needed to be done, what had happened from an idiot handyman, I had hired previously, and solved all our problems easily and affordable fixes. I was reaching the ""end of my rope"" with so many renovations, Jamie was extremely informative, and pointed out potential problems that needed to be addressed.
Hiring him again for more work!!!

Just plain excellent. Arrived on time, friendly & courteous even after they arrived and we had to tell them I neglected to call and cancel appointment due to issue being taken care off by ourselves over the weekend. Checked on two other 'issues' and provided feedback on how to possibly handle ourselves as well. Will be the only one we call when we need future plumbing services!
