I sent a message to Handyman Today, and within 30 mins I received a call back.... and within an hour of that Robert was at my home, ready to begin repairing my side gate that had fallen off its' hinges. He went over what needed to be done to fix the gate, gave a very reasonable quote, and had the job done in less than an hour. He was very professional, did a great job, and I now have his card hanging on my refrigerator for easy reference for the next time I need a helping hand.

He fixed everything that needed to be repaired. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He even ran out to buy parts that were needed to complete the projects. I just emailed ""Handyman Today"" to see if he installs granite countertops, paint, etc to update a condo we just bought. I was so impressed that he responded to my email so quickly I had to write a reveiw. I normally don't write reviews, but wanted to let potential customers know that his response was quick and he communicates well. He listed what he could do for us, plus the days he was available to come out to our condo to give us a quote. Just amazing! I have emailed and called so many other handymen with no response. So I truly appreciate his professionalism. Unfortunately, he doesn't do granite countertops, so he cannot help us this time. But if we ever need any other jobs done, we will defintely call him first.

He has assisted our family on two separate occasions and worked ya into his schedule so we could meet our required timeline. I am not a do it yourselfer. I am a do it to yourselfer. If I try anything with water or fire of electricity, I am sure that myself, the house, and anything else will magically combust.

Thankfully, Robert was referred to us from another professional we found on Yelp, which let's you know Yelp worked. Robert was very professional, efficient, and pleasant. He assisted us with capping some sprinklers and did some work on the main line, and did a very nice job. He also tested the sprinklers, replaced one other sprinkler, and checked the entire system, and did made sure everything was working well. I would hire Robert again, as he is very capable, talented, and easy to work with. I would recommend Robert, for any handyman opportunity that you need assistance with.

Robert definitely knows his stuff! I hired him to do a few small items around a condo I was getting ready for a new tenant: adjusting closet and shower doors, securing a dishwasher, reattaching a remote control holder to the wall and recaulking around the floor of a shower. He was thorough and professional, asking me to come and inspect each item for satisfaction after completion. My only issue, thus the loss of 1 star, was the price. He quoted me $295 and I was in a position of either accepting that or driving back out the 2-hours round trip on another day to hire a different handyman. So I hired him. It took him 2 1/2 hours to complete everything, which computes to $120/hour. I have a wonderful handyman at home that charges me $75/hour (but won't drive out to Oxnard), so I really felt taken advantage of and was prepared to make this a 3 star review. But after researching a bit further, it appears the most professional and capable handymen can command up to $100/hour. Wow!! So I was off a bit but still feel that his price was too high. Thus, I'm compromising with a 4 star review. I know he may not have known exactly how long everything would take him when he quoted me, but he certainly could have adjusted the cost a bit if he felt like he was overcharging when all was said and done. So bottom line: I love his work but am less crazy about his price.
