I reached out to Ricardo on Thursday to paint two bedrooms on Saturday (they don't usually work on Saturdays). He was proactive enough to call me, schedule a time to scope out the rooms before giving me a professional estimate, and never pressured me. We went ahead with his services and it was great.

He, Cesar, and Rosanna were friendly and kept me in the loop of what had to be done to the walls before actually painting them. Ricardo set my expectations for two days, but was able to finish it in one day. It's been a week since the work was done and the results are worth the price I feel!

I'll definitely reach out for future paint jobs and other handyman things.

We had a wonderful experience working with this team! They replaced a French door that wasn't installed properly. They not only installed a new door but took care to make other adjustments to ensure long term success. We made the job harder by insisting on different hardware than what came with the door, which they accommodated beautifully. Our experience with Ricardo was really fantastic from start to finish and one of the best experiences we've had with people who have done work on our home. Ricardo was very responsive, always on time, and very personal, pleasant, and respectful of our home.

The job involved patching holes in our plaster wall and ceiling after having overhead lighting installed and installing new cashing around our front door. I reached out to a number of experts for quotes; Ricardo was the only one who insisted on seeing it in person because he wanted to make sure the quote was accurate. He quickly provided a quote and was very responsive to all follow-ups. Although Ricardo was not the cheapest quote we got, he also was not the most expensive (by far); I took comfort from the fact that he came to see the job in person and was very cautious in giving us caveats about the work to manage expectations (e.g., explaining that touch up painting could cause an uneven look, etc.).

Ricardo came with his wife on the day of the job. They showed up on time and could not be more pleasant. Ricardo's service really shined during the middle of the day when it was clear that I had to go to Home Depot to get the correct paint, and when it was apparent that Ricardo needed to get a wider casing for the door. Ricardo offered to take me to Home Depot with him, saving me a $40 Uber ride. When Home Depot didn't have the correct size of replacement casing, he called a number of places and we ended up going to a contractor supply store to pick it up. The time I spent with Ricardo while running these errands was actually a lot of fun, and we had some very good conversation.

As for the results? We are very happy with the quality of the work. Furthermore, Ricardo emphasized that if we saw something wrong, we should contact him since he wanted to make sure we were 100% happy. Once again, this was a great experience, and I would not hesitate to use Ricardo again for home projects.

Ricardo and his crew were *amazing*! We had our kitchen updated to include replacing laminate countertops with quartz and installing a tile backsplash. The first time we met Ricardo, we immediately knew he was the person for the job. He took his time trying to understand our needs and provided thoughtful input about how to achieve the best outcome. We had the best customer service experience with Ricardo that we've had with *any* service provider in the District. He was detail-oriented, communicative and set clear expectations at every stage. He perfectly executed our instructions and vision. There were a few surprises along the way (the need for a new garbage disposal and an issue with mounting our new microwave to older cabinets). With each challenge, Ricardo explained our options, gave his opinion about how to best approach the situation and was clear about impacts on cost. We also have four pets (yes, four!) and we were worried about them being in the way during the renovation. Ricardo immediately put those concerns to rest, taking time to greet each pet and asking about their personalities. He was patient with them when they were curious about what he was doing, and he took good care with coming and going while we were at work. By the time the job was completed, he'd dubbed two of the pets as his construction supervisors and nearly tried to take our long-haired cat home with him! As animal people, this meant a lot and helped put us at ease with leaving him alone with the pets. When we had our final walk though and paid our bill, Ricardo insisted he come back one last time to fix a small area that he felt needed a bit of paint. Though we offered to just do it ourselves, Ricardo said he felt most comfortable completing this finishing touch himself - an example of what an incredible perfectionist he is. We plan to update our bathroom within the next six months, and we wouldn't consider asking anyone else to do it. We cannot recommend him highly enough!

I'm baffled by some of the negative reviews. My experience with Ricardo was absolutely wonderful. He was very responsive and professional - sending a same-day complete and detailed estimate even past midnight - gave us exact time slots, kept us on the loop of any changes, accommodated to our tight timeframe and finished the job within budget. Ricardo and Cesar had to fill a patch of our drywall ceiling and paint over it. They were meticulous in their work, mindful of our floor and furniture on a rainy day, and their finished product is near-perfect. We understood going in that partially painting the ceiling would leave it noticeable, but they managed to make the end-product look seamless. Luckily they had paint that matched very closely to ours, but it also helped that they didn't give up until they found the right one. They offered that we follow up the next day when the paint dries and covered up another stain that we hadn't noticed before. Plus they're fun to talk to. We'll definitely keep them in mind for our next project and would recommend them to others!

Ricardo and his team did an excellent job with our home projects. Specifically, they renovated our bedroom closets, installed several complicated light fixtures, and repaired a problematic stair railing. Ricardo and team worked efficiently and strived to make sure that we were pleased with the final product (we are)!

I hired Ricardo to take care of a number of repairs around my condo unit, including painting, and patching up drywall. He was extremely communicative, professional, and friendly. He had a fairly tight deadline to complete the repairs and also had to deal with scheduling around my tenants' availability, and managed it all very well. Throughout the entire process he kept me informed of his progress. I would highly recommend him and plan to reach out to him again for future projects.
