I called a week in advance for an appt. to get a bid for a new water heater.

I was told they would arrive between 1 & 5, and call 30 minutes prior to arriving.

I drove from L.A. to Palm Springs that morning to get bids from 2 different plumbers.

#1 bid arrived early around 9:30.

By 1:00 no Hammer and no call. Same at 2:00, 3:00 & 4:00.

At 4:30 I called Hammer and asked the status since I'd received no call.

The guy who answered the phone could not find a record of the appt.

I then drove home in rush hour traffic.

You decide if this is the caliber of work you want as a customer.

I called Hammer Plumbing asking them to install a gas line earthquake sensor for my house in the desert. I heard about the recent 5.2 earthquake and didn't want to leave my home for the next few months without this device installed.
Dan was great, he got an estimator to come and measure the pipe and next day an install was done. The price was much less than I expecteed. They have done several jobs for me and I would recommend them for quality service and pricing.

We had an emergency plumbing problem and Hammer came to the rescue! What I thought was our septic tank going bad, turned out to be my darling 5 year old daughters fault. She has a tendency to use a little too much toilet paper ALL THE TIME when she wipes. We had sewage coming up through all 3 of our showers. I wanted to die. I called Hammer and they were here in an hour. They checked out septic tank and that was all clear. They snaked the drains and everything was back in working order! Whew! I would for sure use them again.

Hammer has installed two toilets for us and now has repaired our bath handles. I have dealt with both Randy and now Josh. Both are professional and provided great customer service. We had our toilets installed at different times as well as our bath repaired yesterday. Each plumber they have sent out have been great and thorough. Both my wife and I are comfortable using Hammer for our plumbing needs.

What can I say about HP&P...we got off to a rocky start. The gentleman on the phone who scheduled my service was kind, courteous, and actively wanted to help work around my extremely chaotic schedule to make sure I was taken care of before my renters came for the weekend. Unfortunately through human error, the appointment time got misconstrued. The staff worked hard to reschedule and after a few hits and misses they were able to come to my home and quickly do the task. The price I ended up paying was very fair for the work (thank you Steve).
When a second issue arose, the owner himself came out to fix it, making sure I was 100% satisfied with what I had originally paid for. He even sent me a video of the working toilet (I don't live in the area) and double and triple checked it before leaving. I admire the fact that they didn't let their work be mediocre and mickey-mouse, but rather put pride behind the business and were persistent about doing an excellent job!
I know perfection cannot be obtained with every task, but knowing the way it was handled and the level of professionalism Steve showed me is the reason I will use HP&P again.
Thank you for dealing with my plumbing issues and the demon toilet!

Terrible customer service. I had an appointment between 11:00AM and 3:00PM to fix a leaky faucet. They called at 2:40PM to say they were just too busy and would have to come later, but could give me no estimate as to when. I had to leave for a another appointment at 3:45. About 4:00 they called to say they would be here in 15 minutes, but I told them it would take at least 30 minutes to get back to the house. He said he couldn't wait for me. A company rep named Dan called me back to say they would need to make another appointment for another day. When I told him a really didn't appreciate them not showing up when they were suppose to, he replied ""Well, we're too busy, there's nothing I can do."" When I told him I would rather work with a more reliable and courteous company, he got really heated and belligerent ... Steer clear of this company ... just a nasty way to treat a customer. Bad attitude and awful customer service wil keep me from ever doing business this Hammer Plumbing.

Worst Customer Service Ever
I had an appointment with them from 1-4pm due to an emergency leak outside my proeprty. 4pm rolls around and they never show up, I call the dispatch person named Dan, who was unprofessional and rude, I needed a plumber here quick and waited for the 3 hour time frame they gave me, yet they never showed up. Please mark my words...never rely on this plumber to show up, they are not professional and will stand you up for your time. What a disgrace the are.

I called these people during the Holidays. They boast of 24/7 service. I called and got a recording that their representatives are helping other customers. They gave me the option of leaving my number and they would call me. I waited 3 days and finally some arrogant man called. Before he even looked at the property he started quoting me $88.00 an hour, telling me they would probably have to dig up the yard etc. I told him I have access via the front yard. He really didn't seem interested but quoted me a price of $280.00 just to pump out the septic tank, in addition to the $88.00 an hour to dig up my yard. He said he would be here that day, or the next day. That was over a week ago and I haven't ever got a call back and never saw or heard from them again. I would avoid these clowns.

I'm a new customer to Hammer plumbing. Just recently our toilets and showers backed up. We called them out to empty our septic tank. That didn't take care of the problem. The next day they rearranged their schedule to come back out. We had a big clog in the line, which try fixed. They were very affordable, efficient and prompt. Thank you steve and Lori we give you a 5 star and will recommend you to all our friends.
