I have read reviews that have corresponded with what I have personally endured.
When calling them personally they seem to have good reviews. When a home warranty calls them the customers are treated poorly! I had them out the first time due to my home warranty company. My coworker warned me they are not good, family had warned me but I didn't have a choice its who has a contact with my warranty company. Scheduling an appointment the girl told me when running through my available times that she was not going to make her guys work certain hours just to accommodate me. ( not was I was asking for) I work long shifts and don't have many days off.) she made me feel like I was inconveniencing them.. finally got an appointment and then they tried to cancel it, They finally came out the (first time) and the guy was sick you could tell he didn't feel good ( felt bad for him), he diagnosed the problem wrong, from me calling stating the problem was still occurring, a second trip resulted in them coming out when I was not home ( the work was outside) and I left work because my home security system showed 4 people there.. 4! Only 2 that worked for them. They couldn't fix the problem contacted my home warranty and "" completed the job"". and they left a mess! I had to have someone else come out to fix the problem. The second call ( I bought an old house, ) from my home warranty company they assigned Half Price again! I reluctantly called made an appointment, the lady was nicer this time. But they never showed up! Never called, DONE!. So I gave my warranty company a call and I will be using a different company from now on if they cannot contract to reputable companies to come to my home, what am I paying them for? ?

This company was hired by my home warranty provider to inspect/replace a failed water heater. I had water leaking on the floor which was determined to be an emergency situation so the only company available on short notice was Half Price Plumbing. They were very accommodating to my schedule and showed up timely but the technician arrived by private car with a donut spare and no identifying information on the vehicle and nothing about his person that would identify him as a representative for Half Price Plumbing. He recommended replacement and said someone would be in touch in the next day or two with replacement cost specifics. No one contacted me over the weekend or on the next business day so I reached out to the home warranty company. They confirmed I followed the correct procedure and they would follow up with HPP. When I still heard nothing after one week of water continuing to run on the garage floor, I fired them and had a new company sent out. I can't speak to their abilities but I did not get a good feeling about this company from their initial visit and their subsequent inaction lead me to believe they may not be the right company for your home service.

Horrible sloppy plumber showed up at my home screwed up a toilet install-he left the house to go on another job my toilet leaked everywhere he had to come back two more times after what should have been an easy task then left a mess afterwards. Extremely unprofessional and the office manager I talked to shannon was very rude to me and seemed like I was putting her out trying to tell her what had happened she seemed annoyed. Horrible experience overall I dont recommend. I've heard horrible things from others about this company please dont waste your money or time with these people they are lazy scam artists!! I'm an elderly woman and I felt taken advantage of. Rude staff as well.

They need to do better about contacting their customers especially after you have spoken to them regarding a repair call. However, when the plumber finally showed up, the findings to the problem and solution were simple. Thank you!

We had roots growing into the sewer line, so the line needed to be repaired.

Half Price Plumbing decided that the best way to prevent this from happening in the future was to put a few pounds of epsom salts down on top of the pipe. They didn't tell us they were going to do this until after the fact.

Water heater went out when we were out of the country. They came and looked at it, then decided they would not complete the job. Technician was very nice but would not return messages and refused to complete the work. It was warranty work and they wanted to put a ""bandaid"" on it (his words). Very unfortunate, we had to deal with it when we returned from vacation.

PRICE GOUGERS !!! We were referred to Half Price Plumbing through our home warranty for our hot water heater. A long story short is they were trying to claim all the replacement parts, which were covered under our home warranty, were all ""code upgrades"" not covered by our home warranty. Even after questioning the manager and the technician, they still maintained all the parts were code upgrades and that we would need to pay an additional $451 on top of our deductible!! After involving the local area rep for our home warranty, who told us she feared Half Price was price gouging, a different and reputable plumber was sent to investigate and do an estimate. The technician from the new company asked, ""Who told you you needed that?"" regarding several things Half Price said we needed. The new plumber then told us everything was covered and we would not have to pay anything extra; saving us from being overcharged $451 by Half Price Plumbing !!!

I was going to call them until I checked their license status , 4 citations from the California State Lic board for serious violations . Always do your homework before you hire a contractor . CSLB .GOV .

We had a broken pipe that was spewing water into our wall. They came out pretty quickly and replaced the pipe- they did a great job! Thank you half priced plumbing!!
