Ugh. Really long, but will be worth it for you to read! I have been dealing with this co. For 5 years! At the end of 2010 I had a new furnace installed by them. Everything was great aside from being a little expensive, but after just a few days my furnace was only blowing out cold air. I called them and the lady proceeded to tell me it can take awhile for the air to get warm, ""these things take time to warm up"". I knew that wasn't the problem, so I demanded they come out and take a look. all they did was change the filter, the new filter mind you, and told me to make sure to keep a clean filter. Not even 24 hours later it started blowing out cold air again. I called them back and it was as if they almost didn't want to deal with me. The same lady said well they couldn't find anything wrong. I was rightfully pissed, but I didn't have the money for them to come out again. After all, I had just paid over 3,000 dollars for a new furnace. I just left it alone. My furnace worked when it wanted to, maybe 30 percent of the time & we mainly relied on portable heaters. After the 4th year went by, I was tired of freezing my ass off so I called them and the same lady was like well its out of warranty, We'll have to charge you to come look at it. I wasn't happy, but It needed to be fixed and since they were the ones that installed it, I kept hoping they would be the ones to figure it out. I had them send their most knowledgeable guy to come take a look at it. At 70 dollars an hour he turned down the fan and changed the filter. It worked! My furnace was finally working as it was meant to. Fast forward 6 weeks and it started blowing out cold air again! I called them back and she told me I would be charged again bc it had been more than 30 days!! A lot can happen in 6 weeks she said. That was the final straw! I wish I had learned my lesson sooner. All they did was overcharge me every time they came out and they never even fixed the problem! Don't waste your time and money like I did! These people don't know what they're doing!

My Airtech bill is as follows: Diagnostic $59.00, minor duct repair ( some silver colored tape ) $218.00 Replace a one year old water pump $154.00. This widowed senior, on fixed income, wrote a check for $431.00. I do not have this type of income. It has really hurt my bank account and I feel that the amount was excessive. Third year we've used Haining to get our swampers going and the price has tripled in three years. What was once less than $100 to take the covers off, inspect stuff and whatnot has ballooned to $320. The guy was out today and tried for over an hour to jerry rig some repair for a non-essential part and was unsuccessful, but we still got charged for his time. So to take the covers off 2 swampers, replace the summer screen and replace a belt that was replaced last year, $320. We won't be calling them again. They've got a monopoly in this town so losing one customer probably won't matter. Oh well, I'll sleep better knowing I'm not going to take a bath just to get the swampers turned on.

Called them to come clean my water system. Lady on the phone quoted me $80 and hour plus any parts. The man shows up and it took him exactly and hour but the bill was for $130. They charged me $10 for the vinegar and apparently they charged $40 for 'drive time'. They were not upfront about all the charges. I wont be using them again.

We have had two homes and several commercial buildings in Grand Junction and have used Haining Plumbing for over 30 years. We have used other plumbers from time to time but always come back to Haining. They now take care of all of our air conditioning and heating needs. We find them to be very responsive in an emergency and reasonably priced for routine maintenance of furnaces and coolers. We would recommend them to anyone.

Life AND Money Savers!! Our A/C unit went out on the first HOTTEST week of 2014. We didn't know where to begin on the calling. One place we called, came out quickly, CHARGED us, as he put it ""only $85"" for the service call which would be subtracted from the cost/labor/taxes for a WHOLE NEW A/C UNIT!!! He wasn't here 15 mins. So, my husband & I were leery. Made a few calls around, EVERYONE very nice offering their thoughts on why they didn't think our 8 yr. old Lenox should need total replacement this early in time. So, we called back Haining first, just something about them that made us feel comfortable. They WERE definitely busy but said they would try & fit us in ASAP. Well, they came through. Their SVC charge only $70 by the way. The gentleman was here for just over an hour maybe, even took the cover off the outside unit (other guy didn't) ... found out it was our capacitor ... replaced, fixed, all for under $195. Now THAT'S a savings and a long way from the $2777 for a cheap unit we never heard of out of China from this other company we called. Be careful people, there are scammers out there ... I trust Haining 110%

We've used Haining for about 30 years and they've always done a great job for us, which is why they were our go-to plumbing company for decades. Their office guy Rob really knows his stuff as far as parts, etc. But we called them for help with a plumbing problem last fall and they told us they couldn't do it because they were too busy with other stuff. They wouldn't even give me a date or time when they might be able to get to us. I was shocked. We haven't called them since, and we have since found a wonderful new plumber who responds to us quickly, gets here fast if we need him, can do anything we need and only charges $25/hour. Now everyone in our family uses him.

Airtech, formerly Haining Refrigeration, is a very dependable company. We use them for business and personal services. I cannot think of any other refrigeration company we would rather use. Jim Hopkins, the owner and operator, is always available and upfront about the services he provides; if you are ever dissatisfied with the service, he will personally make sure the job is done to his satisfaction. There are very few service companies where you can directly talk to the owner about your problem, or see the owner inside your crawl space, personally taking care of the work.

I bet it is not easy being Jim, but he gets the job done at a reasonable price.

We would highly recommend them for your next service.

They've done good work for us in the past, but this time:
We needed work done on our swamp cooler. We decided to get Haining/ They were busy when we called and said they would get to use in 7-10 days. Called again a few times, and they said definitely in 7-10 days. On day 9 we were looking at temps in the high 90's. And called to be sure they would be coming tomorrow (day 10). Oh, no was the reply. They thought they could schedule us for day 13. Ummm, we're done them!
