One of the more frustrating experiences I've had with a contractor. A technician came out to diagnose a problem with a water heater in an addition to our home. It was for a warranty claim. The water heater was damaged and needed to be replaced. They went back and told the warranty company that the addition to our home was actually a guest house, so the warranty was declined. After speaking to the warranty company, they sent out another plumber for a ""second opinion"" as to whether or not the addition was part of the house or a separate guest house. Needless to say it's pretty easy to see if a structure is attached or not so the warranty was again confirmed. The warranty company asked Habit if they would install the water heater. Habit said they would do the work but needed to come back out to gather the information and couldn't show up for that work for another 5 days. I personally watched the technician gather the information on his first visit...so I have no idea what they did with that information in less than a week.

We now have a tenant who cannot take showers due to Habit's inaccurate warranty assessment, and yet they insist on a second ""inspection"" visit BEFORE scheduling the install?? The warranty company found another plumbing company who is coming out within 24 hours to gather the information (now for the 3rd time...since the ""second opinion"" did so as well) in order to get our water heater replaced. Our tenant will likely be without a shower for a full week.

ALL of this could have been avoided had Habit simply talked to me before submitting an inaccurate report that got our warranty claim temporarily declined.

I also called their emergency service to try and have them find the information and help expedite the project given the situation...no return call.

They might do good work for some, but I will never use this company again.

One day after moving into our new home, the master shower leaked into our kitchen. American Home Warranty company contracted Habit Plumbing to fix the leak.

Habit Plumbing has been a nightmare to work with. The technicians have been unprofessional, rude and did not fix the problem. Not worth your time!

This is literally the worst plumbing service that I've experienced. They came to fix a leaky shower faucet and now the entire shower is not working, water is not coming through. That was a week ago. They had no availability to send the plumber back until today, so I haven't had access to my shower for a week. Today I took the morning off work to wait for the plumber so he could return and fix the mistake HE made. He was scheduled for between 8 to 12. At 9am I got a call from the receptionist that the plumber would not be able to make it today and their schedule was too full to send a different plumber. No manager was available to discuss this issue with me. Now I still don't have access to my shower, I have taken time off work for nothing and still no plumber is coming today.

Stay Away! Sadly I too was assigned to Habit Plumbing by First American Home Warrenty. I had a simple shower drip but the tech had to order a part. That didn't thill me since I'd taken the day off work to meet the plumber but what can I do. I was then scheduled for an appointment the next Friday. The office called that morning to say the tech had a family emergecy and would not be coming. That's understandable, things happen. I ask if another tech can come and am told no they can reschedule me for Monday. I say no, I'm not taking a third day off. She says I can have an appointment the following Saturday between 12-4. She never apologizes for the inconvenience and is fairly rude. I call today to confirm my appt at 12:30 and am told I don't have appointment. She says she'll call the tech to see if he can fit me in. I hear back from her 90 minutes later telling me the tech says if the part is on his truck he will come by at the end of the day otherwise I'll need a 4th appointment. I called FAHW to complain and they called the plumber and FAHW tells me Habit is saying they won't be out today and can come on Weds.. Really, she hasn't called to tell me that is the case. Unbelievable. I've wasted 3 days waiting around for these people, have been wasting water for weeks with this drip and still don't have any faith this will get fixed any time in the near future.

Tech seemed competent office staff is a nightmare.

I've had their techs in for a couple separate service calls. I appreciated that in one case, the first tech referred work to a more experienced tech ... address a leaky fixture through a repair instead of insisting that the fixture be replaced. I'd say the service is great.

But, I'll subtract a couple stars on office staff call handling skills and follow through. Further, in one case the the office double billed the deductible back to our plan; the payment issue did not get resolved before being presented for collections (and that is a royal time-consuming pain to resolve). Get past that, and you're in good hands: the service techs do aim please,

These people are ridiculous. We called with a plumbing emergency. As in my faucet literally won't turn off. They stated they were unable to make it until Wednesday at the earliest. It's currently Monday morning at 10am. What the hell?

STAY AWAY!!!! I am extremely disappointed. Both of our bathrooms were clogged. A plumber came out and fixed them. He stated that his work has a warranty for 60 days. Within 6 hours which was also 4th of July (2016) weekend the bathrooms clogged up again. We called the 24 hour emergency number and spoke to an operator... SEVERAL TIMES.. They told us all they do is email or request for a plumber to come out but they would not respond until at least tuesday (3 days later). Why have a 24 hour number if you don't have a 24 hour plumber. I RECEIVED A CALL BACK 3 DAYS LATER BY THE ADMINISTRATOR. The administrator told me the ""BOSS"" was working that weekend so she doesn't know why he didn't send someone out. At one point we called the plumber on his cell phone he did not respond either. The 24 hour number stated ""we respond at any time including holidays""... THAT WAS COMPLETELY FALSE!!! I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE..
Prior to writing this review I asked to speak to the supervisor or owner so they could explain to me why no one returned our calls. Its been a couple of weeks and I still have not received a phone call back from the owner. BAD SERVICE AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Habit was a contractor for our Home Warranty company to fix a Hot Water valve that was leaking water all over the ground. They showed up late for the appointment time, and when I answered the door, would not get off the phone to talk to me. They said to give them a few minutes.

I walked out 5 minutes later to find them gone. They wouldn't return any calls that day to come back, so I had to have a reputable company (George's Plumbing, great company) come and actually fix the problem.

3 days later, I get a bill for the service fee from the home warranty company - Habit marked the service as complete and wanted $75. As best I could tell they did nothing that day, and couldn't even bother to ask me to write a check or talk to me. Our water heater is inside behind a locked door, so unless Habit has mastered teleportation, it is unlikely they even looked at the problem.

Additionally their business and phone hours are only to 4PM. That tells me they want to avoid supporting customers who have any problems the same day. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
