Horrible service! Would not use them if they were the last company around. Have a leaky water heater and they lady called was rude and basically told me they have no time until next week. Who does that!!! I have never had a plumbing company not come out especially for something that needs immediate attention! Stay clear of this company!

Avoid these guys at all cost. They are hand in glove running a scam with "" Home Warranty "" companies to bilk homeowners. If you have been referred to them by your home warranty company, call back and insist on getting an OSA...outside service authorization...it is the only means to get an honest repair done.
I was never told I could get another plumber. And after 45 days of no water, contacted a lawyer, the Cal State licensing board, and the Cal Insurance Commissioners office. I am now in the process of suing both Habit and American Home Shield for Breach of Contract.

Have to use them because of AHS. Absolute NIGHTMARE I have been waiting THREE WEEKS for them to call me and put my water heater back where it belongs. I also lost all hot water to my master bath as soon as they installed the temp water heater. They do not answer the phone, they do not call you back. GARBAGE COMPANY - RUN

Got assigned via home warranty claim to fix a toilet. At appointment time, I got a call that the plumber's truck broke down and that I would get a call on Monday from the office to reschedule. No call. I called them several days later and the soonest they could schedule was another week and a half later. So, no toilet for almost 3 weeks and the plumber arrived and said he needs to order parts. 4 weeks go by and I talk to the home warranty company to complain. Then they call and a very rude woman tells me that they spoke to me previously and I told them that I didn't need the repair anymore so they sent the parts back. Ummmm, NO, they lied about that. Then she said they don't know what parts they even ordered in the first place and they will need a picture of my toilet so that they can remember what they need to order... Wow!

My home warranty sent them out to fix a main water pipe leak, but due to the fact that a non functioning water softener was attached, the warranty wouldn't cover the work. We went with Habit anyway to repair the leak. Jeremiah was very nice. Fixed the leak, removed the softener. However, I lost hot water in my kitchen and powder room immediately following the repair. Jeremiah returned to investigate, then another trip for a possible valve repair at water heater, still no hot water. Another plumber from Habit came out, and found some air in a shower line, but still no hot water in my kitchen. The owner was then scheduled to come out and on 3 separate appointments, he was a no show. And we had to call to find out the issue. On the 3rd no show, we gave up. We finally had to find another plumber. It's been months, but I finally have hot water again. Had to replace my recirculating pump as it broke due to not being turned off during main water pipe repair. All in all, not happy with the service and lack of communication.

If I could give them zero stars I would. This company was hired by my home warranty service company to come out and do an inspection for a leak in my master bathroom. During the inspection there was no leak detected in the actual water lines. During the inspection the technician walked into my shower pan with his dirty shoes which made my white clean shower pan black and then proceeded to walk out onto my tile floor and through my house on my wood floor tracking the black everywhere. He also reapplied some white caulking on the Faucet escutcheon plate and proceeded to clean his dirty hands and the caulking in my bathroom sink leaving a mess after he was completed. Then he proceeded to try and clean up the black marks he had left in the shower pan and on my bathroom floor with dry Kleenex that I had in my bathroom.
Very unprofessional and did not care that he should leave my house as clean as it was when he arrived. It is not my job to clean up after a contractor.
It must start at the top because when I shared my frustrations with a manager the following morning, she told me that she wanted my contact information so that her supervisor could call me back that same day to discuss what had happened .
I still have not been contacted by the supervisor or owner.

Too busy and said we would have to wait 3 days for an appointment where our faucet was leaking. How they hire people soon, as they will lose more business for not accommodating in emergency situations like this.

Couldn't be more pleased. We were referred to Habit from our home warranty company, they came out to take a look at our leaking garbage disposal. Dan gave us a courtesy call to let us know he was on his way. Dan was awesome! He was friendly, explained everything, respectful and thorough. He had the garbage disposal on his truck and was able to install and had us up and running and leak free in 20 min.
Thank you Habit and Dan!

Thanks Dan! You arrived early so I didn't have to wait 4 hours. Ugh! You also gave me a great courtesy call to let me know you were on the way. I was able to make an appointment and have my leak fixed within 48 hours. I greatly appreciate Dan's professionalism and knowledge. Definitely recommend!

Habit Plumbing fraudulently charged me for a water heater replacement. I paid a $155 permit fee and they never contacted the city to get the permit and I paid $325 for an expansion tank that I could buy on Amazon for $30.

I had to court to ask for payment - I won - but the owner only paid a portion of what the court awarded.

Habit was referred to me by American Home Shield (AHS).

STAY AWAY from Habit!
