This company came out through our home warranty and come to find out they were not being truthful. They fixed one part of the problem the day they came out and said that they would return the following day to complete the rest of the leaks. I was very thankful, but then they never called, scheduled or contacted the home warranty company. My husband had to call them several times and they kept saying they would call back to schedule. Finally, 3 days later the office had never heard that we needed more service and we needed to call the home warranty again. He should've completed the service when he was at our house if he didn't intend to come back. We had to pay for another service. Very disappointed with their honesty and reliability.
Jess O.Habit plumbing was assigned to us through our home warranty company when we had a slab leak in our bathroom. Anyone who has had this happen knows it's a huge pain to deal with. That being said, Habit plumbing did an amazing job. Communication and scheduling was easy and everyone I spoke with was very friendly. Jeremiah was the first technician to come who initially identified the leak. He was friendly and professional. After drying out the rooms, we ended up needing to reroute some of our pipes and Nick was the technician who completed the work. Nick is a phenomenal plumber-he explained everything thoroughly (and clearly), worked quickly, and was was very friendly and professional. Thank you for making a rotten situation just a little bit easier!
This is my second experience working with Habit and the owner Westin Lomeli. He sent out his employee Pete to help me out with a toilet and shut off valves. Long story short, they went above and beyond to fix my problem. They were prompt, courteous, honest, affordable and 100% professional. I have referred them to several friends and all have completely satisfied with their service! I can't say enough good things about this company!
If I could go zero I would, only reason to even write this review is to acknowledge they have 1 honest person at the company, Jermiah (excuse the spelling if incorrect). If they had sent him the first time, I highly doubt any of the issues from misquoting services, misquoting price, missing 4 hour appointment windows (than still showing up late when guaranteed of a specific time), to multiple non appointments set with workers showing up to the house. Who ever answers the phone is completely rude and has no idea how to deal with a frustrated customer (yes I say customer as we have used them in the past). I could see if I was yelling, cursing or being condescending (which i was accused of). Had to send Jermiah away, which stinks because I would have liked for him to do the work, because he actually understands how to interact with people. I think this is my 3rd of 4th review on yelp since yelp began, so I am not one to go on here anonymous and complain about everything, but where has customer service gone, especially from local mom and pop businesses.

Julie R.On June 26, PM, our hot water heater stopped working and we had ~14 days left on our American Home Shield Warranty. I submitted a work request thru AHS website very early morning on June 27th and was told that Habit Plumbing would call me between 2 hours and 24 hours. I got a call later that afternoon and was told by this young receptionist that there was an opening the next day between 8-11. I was ecstatic since we had NO hot water. I took the 28th off and by 11am, no one showed. I called and got the same young receptionist. She robotically answers my call. I go thru my whole spiel and she says 'what's the address'. Then puts me on hold for several minutes, only to come back and try to tell me that 'she has me down for July 5th'. I said no way would I have been ok without hot water that long. So she puts me on hold again for several minutes and says 'ok, I can have someone out there today but it won't be until between 2-6'. Fine, better than nothing, right? Well, the tech came around 4pm or so. He kind of fidgeted around and said something about the ignition. He said the button was working because he tested it on his finger. We talked about how much life the hot water heater has and he also explained that the part was not available anywhere local and it would have to be special ordered. Husband and I went in the house for a bit and next thing you know, the tech was gone. No paperwork left for us, no communication on what's next, NOTHING.
So on June 29th, I made the call to them, to find out the status of my request. I was told, again by the same young receptionist, that the part was ordered and would be in later in the afternoon and they would call me to schedule an appointment for 'next week', once it comes in. After getting off the phone with her, I called AHS to complain. The lady documented everything and said she put a request in for the diagnostic report. She said that once that was received, AHS would call me and let me know where we were at with everything. After some more discussion, she wanted to call Habit Plumbing to find out, first hand, when the part was due and so on. She comes back to tell me, what sounds like this young receptionist again, told her it would be in late Friday...um, that's 24 hours later than what she told me.
So fast forward to today, July 6th. NO WORD FROM ANYONE!! So again, I HAVE TO MAKE THE CALL TO HABIT. Angela put me on hold to 'check with the technician'. After several minutes, came back on and tells me that they'll have the part on Monday. WHAT??? Are you serious? And had I not called today, think they ever would have called me? I'm not real confident that they would have. Angela tells me that they can make an appt for me for Tuesday, July 11th!!! So no hot water between June 26 and July 11 - that's ~15 days!!!
I asked Angela if she was the supervisor and she said she was the only full time employee that worked there and they didn't have a supervisor. That person left the company and the owner's wife is doing the managing of the office, but hasn't been in in quite some time.
I flat out told Angela that I have no idea how Habit Plumbing is still open. I have never been treated so poorly in my life. I told her that I would guess this had to do with the fact that I'm an insurance customer, so maybe I don't have any importance to them. Not really sure but I would rather go without hot water before EVER recommending this company, to anyone!
We'll see if they show on Tuesday I guess. I wanted to give zero stars, but the system wouldn't let me
UPDATE: July 17 | They were due last Tuesday, to finally come and fix the part. I got a call about 2pm, from the technician, letting me know he was on the same street as the shop that they had ordered the part from and then would be to the house about 20-25 mins later. Unfortunately, due to the Jennings Fire chaos, I missed a call a bit later. Turns out that it was from the company, letting me know that the technician went to pick up the part but the shop informed him, when he showed, that the part was on backorder until the 14th. I was BEYOND upset. When I spoke to the company, she says 'so the part's in on the 14th...do you want to schedule this for that day? Oh wait, the technician is not available. We'll have to push it to Monday' So here it is on Monday and they're due between 8-12. We are going on 4 weeks without hot water...
UPDATE: The 8-12 time frame for the 17th, that I was given by Angela, was another lie. I called AHS because I refused to even try to get anywhere with Habit. After waiting on hold with AHS for just under an hour, told them what's up and they called Habit. They came back to tell me that Habit showed that my time frame was between 2-6. After hanging up with AHS, I called the Habit and spoke to Jessica, the supervisor. Owner is not married and Jessica was there the whole time but I was never allowed to talk to her before this.
I got to know Habit Plumbing through my home warranty. One of their tasks was to fix the broken valve at my laundry room upstairs. They came on 07/07/17 and changed my brass valve with a brand new stainless steel valve for the hot water line. They didn't hook back the hoses because they saw i am going to switch the washer machine. 1 day later (07/08/17), I heard leaking noise in my laundry room at late night (when no outside noise) and discovered the cold water valve starts leaking. And the entire laundry was a mess and water has been leaked through floor and I can see two area of obvious water mark (confirmed wet by touching it) on the garage ceiling (directly below the laundry room). I'm going to call them and my home warranty to see how they are going to fix this.
We made a home warranty claim through First American and were put in contact with Habit Plumbing. Both our kitchen sink faucet and master bath shower head had broken off days after we moved in. Chris was on time and provided friendly service! After the needed parts were ordered, Chris installed them and we haven't had a problem since. Everyone we were in contact with at Habit Plumbing was kind and helpful. We had a great experience with them and will use them again for any future plumbing needs. Thanks Chris!
Chad D.The came out very quickly and inspected my week in advised the right parts to fix it. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.
Lindsay B.while doing dishes I felt a splash of water on my feet. I looked down and saw water dripping from under my sink. I opened the cabinet doors and the entire space was flooded with water. I called our home owners insurance right away and they notified me that a plumber will arrive between 12-4. I have a baby with a fairly tight nap schedule so with this large of a time gap I was nervous how it would interfere with our day and we all know throwing your baby off schedule can make for a challenges ahead. At 1:30 we got a text saying the plumber will be at our home in 30 minutes. Twenty minutes later Pete arrived. He introduced himself and went straight to work. Within 5 minutes he figured out the problem. He said he would fix it and be out of our way in no time. He was quick efficient confident knowledgeable and friendly. He was empathetic to our situation as well. He sees problems all the time and knows it's inconvenient. If we ever have a problem again I will definitely request Pete at habit plumbing
Also, doing this review I didn't realize how far their office was from where we live. That's pretty fantastic Pete got to us so quickly! Even more impressed. We are new homeowners and have had many subpar experiences.
Jeremiah was amazing ! He fixed my main water valve in less than an hour and even tested all the faucets after. What really made him stand out was that I had a leaky kitchen faucet. He said the one of the screws wasn't tighten and fixed for us right then and there. He is amazing! Happy they sent him to us !!
