Alex was sent out to complete a job he had quoted for me a few months ago. During the process, we had run into a problem, the drain hose for the dishwasher was cut during the process of cutting through a cabinet. Although we did not have a replacement part readily available, Alex took his time to devise a plan to prevent any leaks during use. I appreciated his can-do attitude and willingness to complete the job to the best of his ability.

I hardly ever write reviews, but I really wanted to take the time to make sure Alex gets the credit he deserves. He quoted a very reasonable price for our tub drain issue. The job ended up being much harder than expected because of tricky access, but Alex did an excellent job. He measured very carefully to minimize the amount of sheetrock he had to cut through. He kept me updated during the whole process and showed me exactly what he was doing. After he was done fixing everything, he cleaned up and left the place spotless. And he honored the original quote, even though I know it was more difficult than expected. I would definitely recommend this company and will be calling them again with any other plumbing problems.

Used these guys after Katrina. As a businessperson, I try to understand the profit motive behind every professional I speak with. Over the years, I found the people who are transparent are trustworthy, and people who won't tell you their motives are generally the people who have got something to hide.

These guys have nothing to hide. They look at the problem thoroughly. They estimate will actually cost, and materials and labor. They tell you how long it'll take, and really mean it. Then, they get the job done. Solidly, not so that it will fall apart after a few months and then you're on the phone all over again while you drain buckets so you don't waterlog your floors.

It's refreshing to see an old-fashioned, no nonsense approach applied for a fair price. I miss the time when more businesses had their attitude.

Being from the Bay Area, I'm a huge believer in yelp so I took one look at these reviews and decided that I had to have H Town Emergency Plumbers fix the water line backup that periodically happens at my parents's house.

I started contacting them the day after Christmas. Voicemail. Could someone please call me back? No word. But on Yelp it says that they reply within the hour! Nope.

Oh, it must be the holidays! Let me give them a few more days. Ring ring, voicemail. Could someone call me back? No word. Wait a minute. They just got a new review on yelp the day after Christmas (my first call). No, it must be a review for work they had done earlier...But wait.... the review specifically talks about how the plumber went to their house the day after Christmas. Hmmmm, so they were doing work....

Oh, something must be wrong with their voicemail! Yelp says they have a 100% response rate within 10 minutes for an online quote. I just need to hit the button and they will respond to me. I request an online quote and leave my phone number to call back. After an hour I realized the 100% response rate in 10 minutes was totally bogus. Actually, it was about a month ago and I haven't heard back.

Then I totally forgot about it until my dad reminded me a month later and so I called them again and guess what? That's right. No reply. But somehow they have had quite a few reviews for work done in the last month. I wonder how that happens when they don't ever call people back?

Alex came today to fix the problem that the other plumber messed up the day before. This is the second time I called H-Town plumbing for help.
Originally I called the plumber named Dale Macpherson, whom my realtor recommended to replace the leaking shower spout in one of the guest bathrooms (because I was unable to reach Alex. His phone number changed.), but Dale sent one of his guys who didn't even have a plumber license. This guy tried to disassemble the old spout from the wall, but found the internal piece got stuck with the copper pipe, and he used two wrenches to try to separate the pieces, and got the copper pipe twisted and damaged, which made the problem worse. This guy called his boss Dale, and told me his boss would send another guy who could fix this later, (probably need to cut the copper pipe and weld a new piece before new spout can put on), but the boss Dale never called me to help resolve this situation his guy left with.
So it left me with no choice to find some other plumber which is Alex at H-Town. I am very happy with his job. Alex heated up the pipe before trying to turn and separate the pieces.
I highly recommend H-Town Emergency Plumber!!! The charge is fair and reasonable too!! I will continue doing Alex in future and will recommend him to every friend who needs a plumber. THANK YOU ALEX! :)

I NEVER or seldom write reviews, but Alex with H-Town Emergency Plumber was great! We had a shower emergency this morning. I worked from home to try to get a plumber to come in, but all the plumbers nearby were busy or charging me an arm and a leg. On short notice Alex was able to come by, and he blew the rest of the competition out of the water, no pun intended. Affordable, professional and just down right amazing service!
