Gene is the best. I made a panicked call at 6:30pm for a leaking water heater emergency and he was there in 20 minutes.

Gene and Robert had just come off a full day of work and were on their way home when I called. You would never know it was the end of their day, as they were both friendly, professional and energetic... as if I were the first customer of the day, not the last. They did a top notch job repairing the problem and even discovering another problem I hadn't noticed.

I am adding them to my speed dial for any future plumbing needs.

Based on reviews here, I contacted GS. It took multiple calls and a week or two to get them to come out to look at a job and give me a quote. When I told Gene what was needed, it became quickly clear that he was not the person for the job. He questioned the necessity of the job repeatedly. He was argumentative, very forward, abrasive and rude. I was stunned. Then he wouldn't leave! He basically had to be kicked out of the house. Bottom line - other than his arrogant personality, the setup he recommended was unnecessarily complicated and expensive and the quote he gave was over twice the rate I paid another company - Mainline Plumbing. Mainline came out after one call, completed the job quickly and I've had no problems since. Perhaps Gene is good at unclogging toilets but not ""custom plumbing.""
