Not reliable - they have doubled prices and don't return phone calls. I used Green Tech a few weeks ago for what should have been an easy repair, they came out and spent 30 min and ""fixed"" the problem. Not only did the problem not get fixed, but they are charging double their hourly rate now - it's $195/hr - robbery! After they ""fixed"" the toilet, the water was running a lot - so much so that we had to turn off the water and were unable to use it. They came back and said it was ""fixed"" again - yet the problem persists. I then called them to come back and fix the leak every day for 4 days in a row and no response. Not even a return call. They took my money and refuse to fix the problem that they ""guarantee"" for a year. I had to find another plumber and pay them to fix what Green Tech couldn't and wouldn't. Save your money - use another company!

I needed a last minute fix on our water heater before our house closing. I was able to chat with the owner online to get an idea of pricing and was able to make an appointment for the next day. They texted when they were on their way, arrived when they said, and explained everything they were going to do. I was impressed from beginning to end with my experience with Green Tech! I would highly recommend.

We moved into our home a month ago and as soon as we closed we unfortunately discovered a gas leak that just wouldn't go away. We hired a different plumber that was referred to us. He charged us an arm & a leg and ultimately didn't fix the problem. I found Green Tech on Yelp and asked them to come in as soon as they could.

Mark Smith arrived today right on time for his appointment, and within 20 minutes was able to find the leak and fix the issue that we had been experiencing for AN ENTIRE MONTH. He was extremely personable and knowledgeable, and was very proud to work for the company. Mark stayed until Nicor came to inspect to make sure the job was done and the entire process took 45 minutes. The cherry on top was that their rate was extremely fair - they charge hourly instead of nickel and diming for labor and parts, so we paid a fraction of what we had been charged previously by the other plumber.

We wish we would have called Green Tech much sooner but we're so glad we found a reliable plumbing service for future needs. This gas leak had been an absolute nightmare and we're so happy and relieved that it is finally resolved.

Trust them. Honest people. Needed plumber in north shore = so I have allot of money?? No. Checked yelp and they had all 5 star reviews. Called and were professional. Told them needed repairs from an inspection report. Plumber Mark Smith showed up as scheduled and knew what he was looking for with the details given by the dispatcher. Mark fixed the issues cleanly and with explanation. So the word I would use for this group is - Honest! No games to up the bill, no recommendations for more money on the service call. No money up front with deposit. They did what was asked, cleaned up and wore booties on the new floors. Plumbers are expensive and necessary. But necessary does not mean gouging on prices. This group is honest, they listened to the problem on the phone, were respectful and came prepared. Going to copy this review and send out to my homeowners group in north shore. The 5 star reviews are well deserved and the pricing is fair. Very Well done!

I kept getting a clogged kitchen drain that another local plumber would rod out. It was happening so frequently I was almost paranoid using the sink. I was using the drain filters, etc. well when it happened again only a few months later I took matters in my own hands and started using drain openers etc, only to notice a pipe leaking in my basement! I decided to go with Yelp recommendations and called Green Tech. They explained that my pipe had not been installed at an angle ( ok I'm using the wrong terminology) and it was not draining, causing an accumulation of gunk. That, as well as the old copper pipe material, were a recipe for disaster. They came out at a time convenient to both of us and replaced the pipe. They were neat, clean, and finished before the anticipated time. I would not hesitate to call them if I had a new problem in the future!

I had an awesome experience with Green Tech Plumbing. Scheduling quote and repair was very responsive (even over the July 4th holiday weekend). They were very flexible with communicating via phone, text and email to meet my preference.
Tim was great to work with in my home over the course of the repair. With the added strain of Covid-19 constraints, he took every precaution to make us feel safe. As for the significant pipe leak repair, it definitely required expert experience and more than a little ingenuity in order to deal with a very tight space. Tim handled it with ease, finishing early and significantly under budget. He even took the extra time to answer questions and give advice on smaller plumbing issues outside the scope of the job. Can't say enough about my positive experience with this company!

I would highly recommend Green Tech Plumbing. They provide great service, are very professional and at great prices. Kevin, the owner, went above and beyond helping me out in an emergency situation and it is rare to find customer service like that anywhere else. His people were also very professional and helpful as they did an excavation project at my house. I highly recommend them as they did top notch work with great customer service. I will not look any further for a better plumbing company.

Green Tech Plumbing offered superb service from start to finish. I reached out through Yelp after reading other great reviews and got a quick response. Kevin provided me some appointment options and repair or replacement. We elected to replace our hot water heater and get a slightly larger tank. Ryan, who did the work at our house, came first thing Saturday morning and was professional and efficient. He was thoughtful about letting me know he was going to have the outside door propped open while moving the tank in the event we have pets. He was done replacing the tank even faster than anticipated, allowing us to focus on other tasks for most of the day. Ryan made sure all my questions were answered and offered guidance about setting the heating level.

Kevin and Ryan made the whole experience easy. We had a new water heater within two days and it's working great. We also found the cost of the new tank and installation quite reasonable.

The plumber (Tim) from Green Tech was at my house this morning. He came early, analyzed the situation, fixed our problem (leaking tub faucet) with a creative solution and was on his way. Quickly, efficiently.
He was pleasant, respectful and professional.
In these uncertain times, a plumbing problem was not planned for and I was nervous about having anyone in my house. He wore gloves, mask and booties and we kept our distance...actually, I waited outside as he worked. Fantastic service!
I'm very happy with Green Tech (and Tim!) and highly recommend! Another 5 star rating for Green Tech!

Kevin and his crew at green tech plumbing are sooooo awesome I had to invite them over for dinner and drinks after work they did a awesome job locating the problem we had in our house and fixed it at a very reasonable price we had other neighborhood plumbers quote us they were higher and not as professional I would definitely recommend them
