Had a leak in tenant's basement, and a $1000 water/sewer bill running up. Took Sam Harris and tenant a week to get scheduled, then Sam didn't show up. He has not returned phone messages or e-mail. Tenant's water has since been shut off by SPU. Situation has gone from bad to worse. If a plumber doesn't have time to deal with an urgent situation, he should make that clear from the start.

I've been lax with my Yelp reviewing, and whenever I think of catching up, Sam at Green T Plumbing comes first to mind.

I've used Sam 3 times from simple jobs like clearing up clogged sink/tub, to doing an emergency Thanksgiving busted pipe repair (at a fair price, even though it was a holiday and responded FAST!) to my most recent repair, which was replacing the water pipe from my house to the street.

I have complete trust and faith in Sam's abilities, professionalism and honesty when it comes to his work. I also like that I'm not paying extra for overhead fee's, that you'd see with larger companies that pay for office space/admin staff/advertising etc.. This is evident in his price quotes. Although he's not cheap, his prices are fair and honest. His friendly wife helps with admin and it really feels like I'm supporting a local family business. One that I like.

No call back. No response to email. Hours says they open on Saturday, today is monday. Started with this business cause it's near my home, and the great reviews on yelp, but the clogged kitchen sink couldn't wait so my wife schedule a rooter company. If a business is not open during stated hours, I think they should change their hours online. Maybe next time

Update 1/21/13- Got a thoughtful email by Sam owning up to the lack of communication. Many business don't care about that stuff, but he obviously wants to better his business by being upfront and owning up to dropping the ball. Good business practices and still in my neighborhood, I haven't given up on them but I hope don't have plumbing issues in the near future!

I am so happy with the service I recieved from Green T!

I called Green T Plumbing, and they were very responsive! He arrived right on time, was very polite and immediately knew how to fix my shower and leaky toilets. I have never had a go-to plumber in the past, but I do now.

Very fair pricing, would definately call again and refer to my friends. Thank you!

Sam is one of the most honest people I've ever met and a sweetheart to boot. He came to two different rentals of ours that recently had plumbing issues. The first was for what turned out to be a major sewer line problem that Sam referred someone else to us who had the proper equipment (we had a break in the line) and did not charge us for his time. We were so pleased with his honesty that we called him a few days later when a garbage disposal at another property broke. Sam was able to fix it and again generously did not charge us for his time, saying it was a quick fix. We will always, always have Green T plumbing at the top of our call list for any and all plumbing issues- for a landlord it is like gold to have a company like them on your team.

I am VERY happy. Sam is a down to earth and honest kinda guy. Sam discovered that what I had thought was a problem with my toilet was actually a problem with my shower drain, costing $20 instead of $100 (YAY!). I also showed him a loose toilet in the other bathroom, and he was worried about a bad flange (which involves breaking into the downstairs ceiling and replacing the end of the pipe (YIKE$$$) - but after investigating, he was also able to repair for around $100 instead of thousands.

Five stars. And future business.

Sam also shared with me that his true love is in green plumbing - water reclaim and rainwater use as well as other interesting sounding stuff. They guy is cool. Hire him. :)

I got an email from the owner of Green T. I must say was pleasantly surprised. Apologized for not returning my call and stated that ""...I have learned from this and have hired someone to answer my phones for me.""

I'll give them another chance next time I have a plumbing job.

After Green T installed our garbage disposal, it seemed we had a related problem with the water line, and the faucet would stop working while a gush of water poured out of the cabinet under our sink.

I called Green T, assuming it was the disposal installation that had gone wrong. The woman who worked the phone had Sam give me a call, and he came over the same day to take a look. Turns out the problem had to do with our faucet, not the disposal at all. He fixed the faucet and was in and out in less than 5 minutes. All on a holiday weekend just before he took off for vacation. He absolutely could have charged me for the visit because his work had not caused the water problem, but he didn't.

These guys are now my official go-to plumbers without question. A million thanks to everyone at Green T for being great.

Quick response, super friendly and professional.

I called on a Friday morning, Sam came in the same day at 10 AM and our kitchen sink plumbing problem was fixed by 11 AM the same day! Couldn't have asked for quicker or better service really. HIghly recommended.

I worked with both Sam and Cesal from Green T plumbing and they rock. I was most happy with the quality of their work. We started with small issues (clogged sink, toilet pump) that needed fixing and I was so impressed with how they guaranteed their work; a small piece broke and they came back and replaced it at no cost. We then hired them again to replace our water heater because we fully trusted their opinion and work, and it works great now, we have enough hot water heater for all our needs, including with guests at home. I highly recommend Green T plumbing and will hire them again.
