Sadly, Sam's license is indeed suspended, through most of 2013. My experience was better... Green T were all completely professional, though sometimes difficult to reach (the listed number does not ring a cell phone, but they did call back eventually). Sam and associate not only repaired a sudden side-sewer collapse quickly and professionally, he had to clean up Bob Oates' nasty mess (and deal with my pissed off tenant directly, when Oates left a locked exterior door open overnight, and a giant mess of sewage)...comparatively, Green T was a dream, showed real concern for my tenant and my predicament, coordinated the professional carpet and house cleaners made necessary by Oates, and will get my business again. I just hope he makes good with his Bond Co and the State of WA first.

Last year I hired Green T Plumbing to do three different jobs around the house - they replaced a sink, put in new pipes, and installed a pressure valve. I thought Sam was a nice guy and the work seemed okay. It wasn't great work. The bathroom flooded when the sink was being replaced and some water stained my hardwood floors in the hallway. Then, when Green T came back to replace pipes the work ended up delaying other workers I had hired to do a drywall installation because the pipes leaked and needed fixing not just once, but two days in a row. I was nice about the delays and Sam, the owner, told me he wanted to thank me by offering to come out for free the next time I needed a plumbing favor. I thought that was very nice of him. The trouble is that I've called him on two different occasions to see if I could get a hand, once with a leaky sink, and once when I heard a dripping noise in the wall. The first time I called he said he was out of town and would have his helper call me. His helper never called. The second time I called and left two messages asking for help, I even said I would gladly pay because I was concerned about a leak, and I never got a call back. I'm leaving this review today because my bathtub is clogged, and I don't even want to bother leaving a message for Sam. I need a new plumber. I can't recommend Green T Plumbing. They're pretty awful, really.

I also wish I could give Sam negative stars. He royally botched every aspect of our job from the groundwork, to leaking drains and faucets to completely incorrectly installed radiant heating boilers.
He continuously lied about progress and often did not show up when scheduled. Sam left the job and said the heat works but the slabs were stone cold just days before new owners moved in. It's costing us in time and money and repairs. My suspicion is that he makes more money on emergency calls and speeds through his larger projects. I have had to hire a lawyer to deal with his sloppy mess. AVOID!

Worries about plumbing can keep a girl up at night. I decided it was time to look fear in the face and I found Sam here on Yelp and gave him a call. He was responsive, scheduled me right away and was very communicative about his timing and what to expect. Plus, he gave me good advice that didn't drive me to my secret stash of poverty tuna. I hope to never know the depths of his skillset, but am glad to have someone to call if things get messy. Thank you!

I had Sam out to give me a quote on replumbing our house. He showed up on time, walked through the house with me, then said he'd get a quote back to me within a few days. I didn't hear anything for a week, so I reached out. No response. I tried again, no response. He was a waste of time.

Fantastic service! I left a message on their website, at 6am Monday morning, and within about half an hour they called back and I had a plumber here by nine the same day. They replaced my twenty year old water heater with a new one and were done by onepm. Extremely nice and very patient with all my questions. The price quoted at the beginning was exactly what I paid, no surprise extras.

Will definitely be using this company from now on.

Update October 2013: Hot water went bust right when my in-laws came. Called Sam and he was able to come over asap. After working for a while on the problem with no result, he determined it was an electrical problem and put me in touch with an electrician. Even though he'd been working with three other guys for about an hour, he didn't charge us as he hadn't fixed the problem. Thanks GreenT!

Update 3/2/14: Well, I guess I shouldn't be surprised as I just read more recent Yelpers than me, but I was disappointed that after emailing several times I have had no response. Glad it isn't just me and I'll be looking for someone else. Bumped down to four stars.

My general contractor hired Sam for my new home construction. There has been on and off schedule problem but overall I was pleased with his service as he seemed very nice and promised a good service on warranty on any issue that may come up. Then 7 months afterI moved into the house, the water boiler stopped working twice. We notified Sam of the issue via numerous calls and email, he simply ignored my requests, no call back, no response to email. The only one time that I got through the phone with him, he hung up on me. Our house was without hot water and heat for over 2 weeks. We finally hired the boiler manufacturer to inspect the unit, turns the unit was incorrectly installed, a major component is missed even though it's clearly stated in the installation menu. The unit was overheated and had a minor explosion. Thankfully the system shut down automactically and did not burn down my entire house! We had to pay over $6000 to buy a brand new unit (no warranty from manufactuer due to installation issue) and reinstall the unit. Not only did Sam performe very sloppy work that caused fire hazard to my house, he also failed to stand behind his workmanship and warranty terms. I am very disapointed at Green T plumbing's unprofessional way of conducting business. I am posting the pictures of the damage unit from the inspection report for your reference.

Sam from Green T came out to replace a pressure reducing valve. After climbing under the house and explaining some options, he realized the city's main valve was stripped out and needed to be replaced (this was late on a Friday afternoon). He made the call, took care of all of it, and came back within a few days. Sam was friendly and professional on both occasions. My only complaint is that there were a few days there where I didn't hear anything. Not a big deal, and I'd give 4.5 stars if I could. Thanks Sam.

Called Sam from Green T to fix our toilet and he was fast, courteous and wiling to do anything else (plumbing wise) around the house we thought we might need because he did the job so quickly - he wanted to make sure we got our money's worth. Great work and service.

Of course - no one wants to have a situation where they call a plumber, but if I do again I will call Green T with no hesitation. Highly recommend!

Had a leak in tenant's basement, and a $1000 water/sewer bill running up. Took Sam Harris and tenant a week to get scheduled, then Sam didn't show up. He has not returned phone messages or e-mail. Tenant's water has since been shut off by SPU. Situation has gone from bad to worse. If a plumber doesn't have time to deal with an urgent situation, he should make that clear from the start.
