Initially, they were a small business committed to aiding agricultural and industrial processors. They specialized in custom conveyor belts, which is the source of the ""rubber"" in Green Rubber. Daily, they competed against major industrial chains across the country. The business flourished, reaching more than thirty employees and diversifying its offerings. Kennedy Bros was established by Curt and Mark Kennedy in 1990. They began with a four-person team in their Salinas, CA location, selling tanks, pumps, and spray equipment. By 2003, they expanded to five locations across California. They shared a significant number of customers. In 2003, they combined forces to establish Green Rubber - Kennedy Ag. They opened their sixth site in Santa Maria, CA, in 2021, and introduced a specialized fabrication division called Urethane Specialists in Salinas.
