Their journey began as a small company aimed at serving the needs of agricultural and industrial sectors. They specialized in custom conveyor belts, which is the source of the ""rubber"" in Green Rubber. They faced competition from some of the largest industrial chains nationwide. The company expanded rapidly, growing to over thirty employees and a varied product line. In 1990, Curt and Mark Kennedy founded Kennedy Bros. Starting with a team of four in Salinas, CA, they offered tanks, pumps, and spray equipment. In 2003, their operations expanded to five sites across California. They shared a significant number of customers. In 2003, the two companies merged to form Green Rubber - Kennedy Ag. In 2021, they launched their sixth location in Santa Maria, CA, along with a specialized fabrication division, Urethane Specialists, based in Salinas.
