the contractors were extremely rude. I rent the house so they told me to go buy a house if I wanted to talk to them. the contractor is out front of my house talking about how he used to sell crack. they yelled and screamed obscenities all day. they left the house a complete mess. it took them 3 months to come do any work after looking at the problem and told my 85 year old mother they would get to it when they could. we were told not to flush toilet paper for 3 months. I have never had such a poor experience with a contractor in my entire life. I am a civil engineer and have worked with contractors for 20 years. I will never use them.

A year ago I had a hot water heater installed by another company; they did a terrible job and ultimately cost me thousands of dollars. This Saturday, the water heater made a sound so explosive it sounded like a bomb. I went downstairs and saw that this explosion actually blew the control panel door off of the water heater. Concerned that it might literally explode, I called Goodman Plumbing as they had come to the rescue previously when this horribly installed appliance left me without hot water for five days.

It took less than five minutes - literally - from the time I made the call to when Sean, one of Goodman's skilled plumbers, made it to my house. Less than five minutes on a Saturday to respond to a call. He went over everything, made sure the device would be safe and pointed out the dangerous way the water heater had been connected to the main heating source. He was the third person to do this, so it wasn't about a sale. We agreed that this water heater would remain problematic and never allow me more than a few weeks' peace and that it was better to install another one, which he was prepared to do the very next day, even though it was a Sunday. He actually came with a team on Monday afternoon, so I could still put in a full day of work. Even an amateur like me can tell how much more workmanship went into the installation - and for less money than the original water heater cost.

Sean made sure I understood everything about how the heater was installed and how to work it. He taught me how to safely turn off the gas if I ever felt there could be a problem. He explained the process and didn't leave until I understood what had been done. In short, he treated me like a valued customer, and more importantly, a valued person. Everyone I have met from Goodman Plumbing has been caring, respectful and supremely competent. They have responded quickly to my concerns. Sean is the latest among this amazing team to demonstrate what real professionalism looks like and I am truly appreciative.

They came out for us in a plumbing emergency, and did a great job! This was 2 years ago but they did a great job fixing our shower and bathroom floor.

They guy did an ok job fixing the tub drain. ( wasn't asked what kind of drain we wanted) they had to put an access panel in to get to it . The guy cut the hole way to big and just balanced the panel on the broken drywall. We called and then Goodmans just sent the same guy out. He siliconed the panel to the wall and left. Both times he acted like he didn't put a hole in the wall.

This weekend Philadelphia experienced a heat wave with record breaking highs. I have a very old dog with severe health issues who was not doing well during this weather.

I tried contacting numerous emergency HVAC services, but due to the high demand no one was available. I finally got in reach with Goodman Plumbing, and they were offering to come right away. Our unit is on the roof, and they still offered to come first thing the next day. They were honest and responsive, and seemed empathetic to our situation.

The guys who arrived were quick to get the job done. They located the problem and solved it quickly and effectively. My realtor, who was an absolute terror during all of this, was arguing with me over the phone and trying to get out of paying for it. They took notice to that, and offered to reduce the price for me. They made a terrible situation much much better and I would recommend this service to anyone!!

When we bought our house, we were warned in the inspection that our furnace - which was older than my partner and I - was on its way out. While it wasn't an emergency, it was something to kick up a rainy day fund for.

Cue this weekend, we started smelling gas. After an emergency PGW call, our options were to patch the leak, or remove and replace the whole thing. We'd been kicking the can down the road, and it was time.

We've been working through a lot of fun renovations lately. This definitely wasn't a 'fun' expense, but a necessary one, and Goodman did a great job of making the process as painless as possible. Our new furnace works great, their team was prompt with appointments, on top of communication, and did the work in about 5 hours all while I worked from home.

We had been quoted some jaw-dropping amounts from other local companies, and their price was more than fair for all the reasons stated above. Would recommend if you're in need of HVAC work here in Philly!

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! This company dumped trash in front of my home after doing work somewhere else in my neighborhood. I called them, because their company info was visible on the vehicle, thanks to my home's cameras. Whoever answered the phone seemed apologetic and I was promised that someone would be by to pick it up, but of course it never happened. I was forced to deal with the expense of having it removed. Tasteless.

I made an appointment for a free estimate. I had to wait 2 weeks to see them just to come out for an estimate. On the day they were supposed to be there, I sat around and waited all day, and about 30 minutes before the end of the scheduled time slot, I called to make sure I had the right time, and they said I wasn't even on the schedule. They said they would put my name in with the schedule manager and call me back to reschedule, but they never called. I went with someone else instead, that actually came out in less than a week, and they were on time, and they didn't waste my time and energy by running me around.
